This iconic fruit stand is a true South Florida institution. From the moment you pull in, it feels like stepping into a charming, old-school roadside market bursting with color and character. Crates overflow with vibrant tropical fruits, the air smells sweet and fresh, and the whole place has that nostalgic, family-run charm you just don't find everywhere anymore. The mamey milkshake is my go-to and hands down my favorite. It's unbelievably thick, creamy, and packed with rich tropical flavor. One sip and you'll understand why it's legendary. Beyond the milkshakes, they carry incredible local honey, homemade sauces, unique jams, fresh shallots, beautiful vegetables, and perfectly ripe fruits. The exotic fruit selection alone is worth the trip. you'll discover varieties you didn't even know existed. What makes it even more special is that Robert himself is often there, still working and interacting with customers. It adds such a personal touch. Everyone on staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. Don't skip the back area, there's a small petting zoo where you can buy feed and interact with the animals, which makes it a fun stop for families and kids. It's more than just a fruit stand . it's an experience. A must-visit South Florida classic.

Disappointed. I decided I might as well get a shake since the line was long- I got the Mamey milkshake since I never had Mamey before. It is good. I really can't describe it- not sweet. Creamy. Yeah, kind of like sweet potato. We'll see how my tummy feels after the milk in the shake By the way- this is a large cup. I'm definitely not going to finish this!!! It's great for tourists ands kids. It was too hot for me to walk around and look at the animals- so go in the morning. That's it. I'm leaving. Apparently there's wine tasting 3 miles down the road!

It seems I have been on a bakery spree recently. I came by this Havana's Bakery Cafe a few weeks…read moreago. I had previously been to another location in 288th Street in Homestead... and I found out while there about this location which is closer to my home. It is a smaller location and does not have the selection the one in 288 has... mainly it's missing cakes. But it gets the job done for me... as I was just looking for a good but cheap Cuban breakfast... eggs, croquettes, Cuban toast, cafe con leche. The breakfast was good, cheap and quite filling! I attached pictures of the meal and prices for anyone interested. One thing though, besides the cakes, is that because it's a small location, they don't have a lot of employees. I placed a large to go order, someone else did at the same time, and another customer came in just to get a few pastries and croquettes. The staff was a bit overwhelmed so it took a bit of time to get the food. A great little bakery in south Homestead if anyone wants to get their Cuban pastry/croquette fix. I will come back.

Breakfasts are very affordable starting at 4.99. The ham and cheese croissants are great and so are the tortilla with ham and cheese sandwich they also have all the typical favorites of pastelitos. Natural OJ. If you're on the way to the keys make sure you stop by and load up.

The person taking our order was friendly and gave us a heads up that the chicken had a decent amount of heat, which I appreciated. Food took a little time to come out, but everything arrived fresh and hot. The burger was juicy without being messy, and the habanero chicken had good flavor beyond just spice. What stood out most was how relaxed the atmosphere felt even during the dinner rush. Staff stayed attentive and kept checking on tables without hovering too much. It felt like a solid local place people actually return to often.

It's decorated in typical hibaro fashion (iykyk). There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There is street parking and I think you might be able to park behind the restaurant. We couldn't figure out how to get there...lol. The service was friendly and the waitress gave great suggestions. For our appetizer we had the Alcapurria's. They were sooooo good! For my main, I had the El Yunque Burger. It was delicious! Had everything but the kitchen sink in it but the combo worked! There was even mofongo in the burger. My fiance had the El Pork Belly tapa with Truffle fries. The El Pork Belly was scrumptious! Fell off the bone with tostones or fried green plantains ( for my English speaking folks). The Truffle fries were also very good. I can't recommend this place enough! Go there when in Homestead. You won't regret it!
