We went to The Ivy Kitchen in Huntington the other night with a group of 12, and overall the experience was very mixed. We arrived about 30 minutes late for our reservation, and I really have to give credit where it's due because they were kind enough to hold our table and keep the kitchen open for us, even though we didn't place our order until about 15 minutes after being seated. That level of accommodation was truly appreciated. The table was ready, the music and vibes were great, the DJ was on point, and the drinks were amazing. Our waitress was extremely attentive, especially considering the size of our party and the late hour. Service and atmosphere were definitely highlights of the night. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest letdown. Several dishes came out cold, and everything was extremely salty, almost inedible in some cases. I ordered a medium steak, but it was more like well done, very tough, and I was chewing forever. I wasn't the only one as a few friends who ordered steak had the same complaint. The broccolini was overly salty and honestly not edible. The mac and cheese was also disappointing, which was extra frustrating because I'm on a keto diet and went off plan for it, only to be let down. To be fair, not everything missed the mark: * One friend ordered a burger and fries and said it was good * Two friends had the salmon, which they rated a 6 * However, most of the sides were not good at all I'm not sure if the food quality was affected by the kitchen closing, but the excessive salt and temperature issues were hard to ignore. Nobody complained though, we paid our tab and kept it pushing. Bottom line: Great atmosphere, great drinks, great service but the food consistency really needs work. I'd consider coming back for drinks and vibes, but I'd be hesitant to order a full dinner again unless the food improves.

    Chicken Parmesan, skirt steak

Made a reservation so we didn't really have to wait. The decor immediately caught my eye. Very cute vibes. When we were seated, was kind of bummed it was one of those tall round bar table for two next to the bar since we love to try different foods but it was alright. The waitress was very friendly and kept up with our drink requests. We ordered the calama, which was not battered well, but the flavor profile was absolutely delicious. We also got the app meatball that my wife enjoyed more than I did. One of them were dry while the other 3 were pretty good. We got chicken parm and the skirt steak. We both liked the chicken parm and the pasta was cooked al dente. The skirt steak my husband enjoyed more while I thought it was alright. The gravy for the mashed potatoes was very good. Overall, the flavor profile was good but the cost of the portion didn't really match, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our time as we pretty much paid for the vibe. I think we would come back for the vibe/bday/an event. The noise level is pretty loud as you have a live Dj but we liked all the songs that were played. You can tell the amt of effort this place gives to their customers to have a great time, which we really appreciated. There's pol ranging from young to old; honestly there was an elderly couple who came on a date (I assumed) and it was absolutely touching to see them enjoying an upbeat place, and spending quality time with love and good around a fun place.

    Menu prices being extra.

Menu price and receipt price of the items don't match.. for example, the corona on the menu was $8 and we were charged $8.58. Half the items were upcharged by 7.25%. That aside, food is terrible, took about 1 hr for entrees, and staff is rude and condescending. Extremely overpriced for a mediocre experience. Don't go here. Also! We only had 15 people in our party and we told that to the hostess when we arrived. Reservation originally said 17, but 2 people had an emergency and couldn't make it. We were told we still had to pay for those 2 no shows. Not sure who's in the wrong there.... But SNEAKY PEOPLE!

This place definitely has the vibe with mostly younger crowd on a Friday night. Haha - the bouncer/guard outside also gave that impression. I was here for a rehearsal dinner, and we had a private room in the back. It fits around 25-30 people comfortably. The décor in the room is pretty, and we had our own bathroom and separate exit. It is very private when the doors are closed. I had the Dreamy Orange with vanilla stoli, blood orange, and prosecco from the specialty cocktail menu. It was okay - not bad and not great. I should have gone with my usual Vodka Dirty Martini. The bride had pre-order the food for us. It was meatball, brussels sprouts, broccolini, steak, chicken parmesan, and pasta. It was all delicious. My favorite was the brussels sprouts, meatball, and chicken parm. Simple classic dishes done right! The service was good. We constantly had someone checking on us, refilling drinks and water. I don't know the price range but it was a nice place to have a small private party.

Fried calamari (we already started eating lol) it was so good!!

I usually take time to do my reviews & im kind of backed up but this review has to happen now, as i just got home from dining here!! My husband made a reservation for us here on our anniversary (today). He's known that I've been wanting to try the Ivy for quite some time now. He booked an early reservation @ 5pm because we have toddlers & tomorrows a school day! There is plenty of parking & we noticed how cute the walkway to enter was. It was decorated for Halloween! We walked in, and was immediately greeted by the hostess. I noticed how pretty & clean it was inside! It was dim with little lights on the table, but I def love that vibe. When she walked us to our table, we were also almost immediately greeted by our server, Breezy. He asked us if we knew our drinks and what water would we like. I got a lychee martini and wow! It was great!! We ordered calamari for appetizer, short rib risotto, skirt steak, and Mac and cheese. After we ordered, breezy brought out champagne for us and complimentary table bread for our anniversary!! He greeted us & we were so surprised! The bread was DELICIOUS!! Probably one of my husband's favorites as of today. From the calamari to the short rib, to the steak, and mac and cheese... EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! We were so happy our meals were so flavorful with great portions. For dessert, i wanted the rainbow cookies. Breezy brought it out with a sparkler and told us happy anniversary once again. We definitely want to come back here for dinner but also want to come back here for brunch!! Thank you Breezy!! He's an amazing server. Really attentive, respectful, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu - including the drinks!

what a delicious meal I ordered as takeout today: fresh buratta with a generous piece of juicy grilled salmon on top. Nice decor, people and a big party room. Go there!

Thank you and the team for a wonderful evening for our son & daughter in-law's rehearsal dinner. Everyone raved about the food and drinks. The team was friendly, caring and attentive. The booking process and planning were stress-free. Loved that the lighting set the mood and matched the theme! We will definitely be recommending the restaurant for any occasion. We will be back for dinner soon.

This restaurant has been on my foodie bucket list for a few months now and I finally got to check it out for a friend's birthday! The vibe was beautiful as you walked in, as well as inside. We started with a round of drinks - Hendricks Lamar and a Spicy Mezcalita with Tajin on the rim. Unfortunately, the specialty drinks offered did not include a spicy one but I was super thrilled when Justin said they could make it. Kudos to the bartender because it was on point and it reminded me of my travels to Tulum. Shortly after, our starters were delivered - Beet Salad and Fig and Prosciutto Pizzette. The Beet salad was delicious paired up with the Pizzette. The Pizzette was cut into fours (if you'd like eights you can ask the lovely waitstaff). My friend went with the Short Rib Risotto and I with Filet Mignon special of the night. Both were absolutely delicious...however, the Filet Mignon was heavily salted. The Short Rib fell right off the bone and it was super tender. There was a sparkler and shot giveaway or intermission due to filming of a reel for the restaurants social media page(s), etc. No waiver was signed upon arrival or leaving via being featured in reel or being videotaped. Tables within the middle of restaurant were stored away due to it turning into a dance floor. It was a great evening of drinks, food, and dancing the night away. There were a variety of age groups dancing the night away, bottle service, etc. I hope to return and check other menu items! Don't forget to order dessert - the carrot cake was delicious, paired with a cappuccino!

I love this place it's always a good time. I came here for my friends 30th, and she got the package that you could have unlimited drinks and the food was family style. This time we had burgers, mac & cheese, fried chicken with the balsamic salad on top and pizza. Everything was very yummy. We had a whole section to ourselves, and separate waiters and a separate bathroom. Definitely a great place to have a party of 20 to 25 people.

This spot offered incredible service alongside delicious food. The pre fixe deal is such a steal if you like wine and/or beer.

As previous reviews mention, the inside is decorated to look like you're on a patio in Tuscany. It's deceptively large inside, and we sat all the way at the back around the corner. The waitstaff were very efficient and pleasant, giving my boyfriend and I time to look over the menu but coming soon after we'd set them down on the table. After some complimentary bread and very tasty garlic knots, we started with one of their appetizer specials to share, and were very pleased with it. It had fresh grilled Italian sausage served over garlicky cannellini beans and broccolini. Everything was balanced and well prepared. For our dinner we both got pasta; I got the butternut squash agnolotti (de zucca) with butter and sage, and he got the ricotta cavatelli bolognese. The bolognese was delicious, but I felt like the squash agnolotti needed something else to make it a proper dinner. The filling is just squash puree, no cheese, and the melted butter sauce is very very decadent. I would get something a bit more filling next time, but other than that I enjoyed my meal and our experience!

We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth. I recall enjoying their food and having such an extraordinary experience the first time around, and this just felt like really basic food at a premium price point. I'm hoping it's a one off thing based off of circumstances outside their control, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon

We got the butternut squash which sounded very fancy on the menu but was just butternut squash with a piece of fried prosciutto stuck in each portion on top of cacio e pepe sauce which by the way was broken. We also got what we thought was going to be artichokes on a bed of arugula but was mostly arugula with a few small pieces of artichoke and some pistachios. It was bland, definitely needed some vinegar or lemon or something. Not worth the price, I could have thrown that together myself at home. We also had the spinach/pear salad. Again, I could have made that at home. I got the lemon shrimp linguine. I liked the pasta, I liked the sauce, I did not like the shrimp that came with it. They were tiny and maybe boiled, just not great. We also had the ravioli. One big extremely dense ravioli, raviolo or whatever a singular one is technically called. It was ok but so dense and rich. We also had the bolognese. Not the best. For the prices we paid we expected greatness. We each had dessert. So for the 3 of us the bill came to almost $300 with tip. I personally felt like the service did not warrant the tip but we left it anyway. We weren't checked on, we had to wait a long time to get the bill and we paid by phone app. The service wasn't great.
