Harry and Augustine were outstanding. I called and needed some work done on a marble island, but was pressed for time given a trip out of town. Having recently purchased a home in Pasadena, I did not know who to call and found Stone Restorations and Harry on Yelp. Harry answered the phone on the first call (no answering service), heard my situation and arranged for Augustine to come the next day. Augustine was on time (and actually called to say he could be here earlier, which was very convenient), he kept everything organized and prepped the job to not allow for any residue to spill on the floor or furniture. He did an amazing job on our counter, which was riddled with glass/wine/water stains. It now looks like new. We always do our research before we hire anyone because we had to learn the hard way in the past. We did see some negative reviews on Yelp regarding this company, so we questioned some of these negative reviews with the owner. He said that he doesn't have any work orders for these people, and since he he's been in business for over 40 years, we decided to believe him. Anyone who has stood the test of time, deserves a chance. It's such a shame that desperate people will resort to fake reviews to harm someone's business. Our floors are 11 years old and we had several dark spots where our floors seemed to be stained and beyond repair in the high traffic areas. We did have extra wood from the original installation, so he agreed to use our extra wood if needed. To our amazement, it wasn't necessary after all. The team finished the job in three and a half days. After they sanded each board, they had to sand each board's edges by hand. It's a ridiculous amount of intricate work that needed to be done to bring our floors back to their full glory. It's mind boggling how beautiful they are, in every corner, edge, seam, every single board was restored with care. We are so grateful to them, Harry was so kind and knowledgeable, Every person who came into our home to do the work were true professionals if every sense of the word. If we could give them 10 stars we would. Needless to say, we are customers for life. Thank you so much Harry and your incredible team for everything and we are so happy to put our trust in you! Avoid at all costs, the worst possible experience and total con artists. These people told us they could sand down a floor to a lighter colour shade, which we now know was never possible, then damaged the floor in multiple places. They offered no help or solutions and left a sub-contractor to clean up their mess. We made the mistake of paying up front, and then had to pay another (much better) company to entirely replace the floors. Don't go anywhere near this dreadful, dishonest business. read more

This company (Harry, Manuel, Robert) worked for one of my clients. Not professional at all, excuse after excuse, whether it was weather or hospital related. Didn't finish even 10 percent of this job, requested half the money upfront without doing any work or showing any of the promised supplies. Did not bring such promised supplies, but Home Depot cheap supplies. Promised a full team to be done in 3 weeks, but only 2 men showed up to work on a 1800 sq ft area. Of Course, now the crook has put a mechanic's lien on the client's house requesting the full invoice be paid, when the work is not complete or even half way done. You can not trust these guys. We really did not have a good experience with this company. We needed a large stone fireplace lime washed. They assured us they did this kind of work. All they really had was a subcontractor, who was good but didn't get the correct information from Robert at RAF about which wash to use. Robert even directed us to work ask our questions to the sub directly and basically left us with a bad job. We paid in full and are now having to pay a different company to fix it. The only thing Robert was good at was hounding us for payment. We can't recommend them - unless you're looking for a collector. read more

I didn't pay you, and told you to leave as soon as I saw your guys were DIGGING OUT the grout lines with a tool, my floor is still not right where they did it to this day!! I have since used other companies to clean my floors with much better results. This company came out and tried to clean my grout lines on a tumbled marble floor -- tech took a tool that actually took the grout out and cut into my tumbled marble, I still see where he made the mess every time I walk into my kitchen. I just bought a new house and it came with a beautiful kitchen island with black wood granite. Problem was that it was not sealed, and within a week we had multiple water stains, oil stains, and other stains that did not come out. I called a couple restoration places and none of them were responsive, until I got in touch with Stone Restoration. I got a quick estimate by phone, and the next day a guy named Vincent showed up who was incredibly knowledgeable about all kinds of stone. He removed the stains in seconds (without having to sand or anything else) and then was able to apply a seal that made the island look amazing, plus stain resistant. Plus the price was very reasonable (compared to other quotes I got) Now instead of living in fear of putting anything on the counter, I can use this kitchen the way I want to. OK, so I will try to stick to facts and not resort to hyperbole to avoid diluting the credibility of this story. Several months back I realized how delicate travertine can be when after very little usage I discovered water stains on the table top. I know zero about stone upkeep so managed to find a service that sent out a guy during his lunch hour a few blocks away (taking him away from a much larger and likely lucrative project). He arrived, worked on the table top with a sander-type-thing and after five minutes, ta-dah...perfection! He actually didn't want to charge me but I insisted and we arrived at the token amount of $20. Many months later I held a party an unwisely forgot the sage advice the man had provided me about travertine care, and alas, more stains! Unfortunately I wasn't able to remember and track down the company that had helped me out and hence stumbled by happenstance upon Stone Restoration. This morning per instructions I sent along my pics of the roughly 2.5 x 2.5 table via text. I was told that the price tag would be $300. I responded that price was 'frigg'in' ridiculous, thanks!
