I never usually leave reviews, but feel compelled to share that we had a really great experience with Adam from the Ground Floor. What began as a horrible accident with some sort of bleach or cleaning product dripping on our travertine floors and etching an area from a powder bath, across our entry and down the halls causing us to get bids to review the options available to clean these horrible stains away. And The ground floor did a wonderful job!!Adam, the owner, is very straight forward, honest and professional, and gave us several recommendations of ways we could handle the situation. His bid was competitive with the market, and we chose to work with him because he had good reviews and we really felt like he seemed sincere, thoughtful, and professional. He was so easy to talk to where a lot of the other companies would send someone out to give us a bid, make a lot of promises... but then we found out that that would not be the person who would come out to do the work.... and we liked knowing who was going to be actually doing the job and working in our home. In the end, we ended up sanding most of the stone floors of our first floor and steam cleaning our kitchen, and we were so happy with the results. Adam is very frank and did not make promises that he wasn't able to keep. He went above and beyond to clean our stains as well as the every day dirt and grime that had built up over years in our kitchen. We also had our master bathroom marble floors, shower pan floor, and counters sanded, honed and polished, and the results are sparkling and beautiful. The men who work with him are courteous and polite and very hard-working. They went out of their way to Spend extra time on all the details such as the grout and things that I had mentioned were important to me. I was referred to The Ground Floor years ago by a premier tile manufacturer when I was having an issue with their tile. They were able to remedy the issue and I began using their floor products for all my tile floor cleaning needs. Fast forward eight years later and I hired another service to clean and seal a different area of my home. After two days of this other provider performing his work I came home to an absolute disaster. Water marks all over my tile non-porous floors that I could not remove with mopping. I spoke with the other provider and his "fix" didn't make sense to me so I made the call to The Ground Floor to discuss. This was the call I should have made in the first place. They are so knowledgeable. Sent pictures of my flooring, spoke over the phone to discuss the solutions and scheduled them for two days later. They came in expecting the fix to be one thing and when it wasn't working they showed me what was going on and offered another solution with the promise to remain until they figured it out. What they first assumed would be a couple hours turned into 8! I appreciated that they didn't stop until they found the fix. They do the right thing, not the easy thing. I should have called them first and not wasted my time. Now trying to get a refund from the first provider which will likely be futile but I am super happy with my floors again and will not make that mistake twice.
