I've been a shopper all my life and love a bargain. In fact I married my first wife because she was 30% off, but I digress. To get the most out of ReThreads, you have to shop without a specific style or color in mind. You must try on anything that catches you eye in each category. Because fit is not predictable, bargains can be found on mis-marked or alteration modified items (that is marked bigger or smaller than "your size ") I dress better than all my friends but won't tell them where I shop! Nice selection for 35 year olds and up, well organized, geared for an older crowd. I went in looking for jeans- tons of Levi brand apprapo for gen x programmers or boomers looking sharp, but nothing for the under 30 crowd. Prices were higher than other shops, and the quality and quantity were also higher than some. But if there are items for younger people, I couldn't find them. I'm 6'2", 29, and 160 lbs. On October 5, 21014, I took some clothes and 2 Gucci handbags (purchased from the Gucci store in Rome, Italy) to Rethreads. The intake guy examined and scrutinized them as if they were diamonds. He accepted all, but said they were running 5 weeks behind in getting the incoming merchandise to the floor. I called after not hearing from them for 7 weeks. I was told it would be a few days longer. The next communication came in an email. It said the items could not be consigned and I had until Dec. 15 to pick them up! If that was the case, they shouldn't have accepted them in the first place! Who operates their business in this way? I wouldn't buy or consign anything there ever! read more

I always, always, always find something here. They have everything beautifully organized by COLOR within the size and then also separated by type of clothing. Dresses, suits, pants, skirts, blouses, sleeveless blouses, etc. They have shoes, belts, purses, jewelry - EVERYTHING. They have a men's side too, and it is just as organized. They have lots of brand name clothing, but I don't really care about that. I just care about what condition the clothes are in, and they are all pressed and cleaned before putting on the floor. They have clean dressing rooms, helpful staff, and a huge selection. I recommend this place to everyone. Not everyone always find something, but I have more patience than the average bear. Totally go here if you're looking for office clothes. You can find some really cute stuff at a steal. Get on their mailing list and you'll get the head's up on some really great sales. I have bought many things there. They are one of but a few Men's consignment stores. My complaint with them is that it takes so long to check out on a busy day. You know why?? They don't even have freaking computer in that place. They use manual calculators and run totals twice, manually calculate the tax, add it together and use some completely antiquated debit cards thing. Then they write it down in an old fashion receipt books. They have way too many people behind the counter because they are so completely inefficient. If they would buy 2 computers, put me in charge for 6 months, then I would make the owners rich.....They need some SERIOUS retail consulting. Oh, and then they staple your receipt to something and hand it to you even though there are no returns.... read more

I brought in 41 pairs of pants and several sports coats and jackets. All in excellent condition. I think they were going to accept maybe three items. No where on their web site does it list the over 100 brands of clothes they do not accept. Dockers, Wranglers, Levis, etc. So before you waste several hours sorting and hanging and driving in horrible Preston traffic, check to see if you can have the list emailed to you. No one apologized for my inconvenience, it was just oh well. read more

I was visiting family this past weekend and I went into ReThreads during their monthly 20% off sale and I found a few good items. They were a bit pricey for resale but the quality of the clothing was pretty decent. I know those of you who are reading this will probably say "well, why only 2 stars?" I did find some good stuff... HOWEVER, when I was at the front register, the manager called one of the lovely employees on the speaker phone. There were quite a few customers at the register so the employees were pretty busy. The employee, who was checking someone else out, told the manager she will be right there and the manager went ballistic. She spoke to the employee with such hate and anger. I thought twice about purchasing from there. I just wanted to leave my items at the counter and walk out. Why would anyone want to talk to their employees like that? I was embarrassed for all of her staff. read more

I browsed through the store today, and they have a lot of nice stuff and even some quite unusual things. For example, a handknit sweater made in Ireland. They also have a large selection of handbags, wallets and shoes, most of which have designer labels like Ferragamo. They also sell evening gowns and cocktail dresses. Their prices seem reasonable, although they aren't dirt cheap. I plan to go back there soon. read more

I've never consigned here before so like any consignment place I walked in with all my stuff in a bag and everyone almost had a cardiac that the items weren't press end and on on hangers, like wtf??? Then they went on to not accept any of my items, on of the reasons was bc of fuzz and lent on some sweaters. Snobbiest consignment store I've ever been too! read more

I love ReThreads! They have a fantastic selection of men's and women's clothing. The clothes are organized and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I have taken clothes to be consigned, as well. The staff in the receiving area has always been friendly and informative. Great clothes and very friendly front staff...but bad place to consign. The women who take in the clothes are pretty rude in my opinion. Came into the stored a few weeks after hearing nothing back after a drop off and saw my item was being sold for $15 more then I was quoted (very sketchy being that I was not informed of this nor door I think I would ever be). Finally called back after a month or so from that instance and they said everything sold....but they had not sent my money. Basically said they don't send it until you ask? Similar story when my girlfriend consigned clothes...they never got back to her and when she called to get the status on an item they told her it sold for $10 without any proof. Again very odd that they claim the shoes sold for $20 bucks being that I've never seen even the poorest condition shoes sell for less then $50. Their system seems very archaic and kindle sketchy. Pretty disappointed from those two experiences. I will continue to shop their, but I will no longer consign. read more

Went here for the first time and honestly I do not see how this place stays in business. Yes it's very nice and clean and there is no junk BUT these are NOT consignment prices. There was a Ralph Lauren causal dress I spotted there. It was $300 HA the dress NEW isn't even that much at Dillard's! Also a dan skin tshirt. This is a target/walmart brand. Maybe a $6 shirt new. They had it for $15 at rethreads. I walked out laughing. I am not a cheap person by no means but this was just a joke when looking for a good deal. read more

This is the best resale/consignment store for women's clothing in Dallas. It is well curated and organized. We go 2x a year for my wife to try on clothing. To me, it seems the wealthy women of North Dallas are vacating their wardrobes after a single fashion season, to be benefit of ReThreads shoppers. The inventory is best for formal wear, and nice casual slacks, blouses, dresses and accessories. Make sure you buy for fit, and don't walk out with clothes you'll regret later! Designer brands I've see include Prada, Diane von Furstenburg, Ferragamo, Tory Burch, house brands Saks 5th Ave and Neiman Marcus. Mass market brands include Zara, and Banana Republic. read more

Thomas was the sales associate that helped me and was super helpful. He greeted me as soon as I walked in and checked on me throughout my stay. I recently consigned quite a bit of clothing at ReThreads. Most was accepted, and some sold. When I picked up the rejected clothing, however, I was in for a surprise. Some of the items were tagged with their reasons for rejection, worst of all a label with a drawing of a baby chick and the word "cheap!" I was offended by this labeling of my nice like new clothes. In 2008, I really cleaned my closet and took several items to ReThreads, including Armani suits, sportcoats, slacks, etc. I never received any confirmation in the mail ... They had told me to check back after 90 days and I could pick up a check or any unsold items. I marked my calendar and went back ... they said one suit had sold, but wanted to keep the other items. I got a check for $60, and left the remaining items. When I later checked, they told me nothing else had sold and all the clothing had been donated to charity. The referred me to the contract they had given me when I left the clothing. First of all, I don't like their system of notification. Secondly, they did a poor job of selling my clothes ... Probably less than 10% of what I took them. read more

We decided to go to this store this weekend on the suggestion of a friend. I was very excited to go and was looking forward to spending some of my hard earned money on quality items. The location appeared nice and well kept. Upon entering the store we were greeted pleasantly by a woman standing near the door. I made a right to start looking at the mes clothing. I was a bit surprised when a male employee approached me and asked if I minded checking my Ben Sherman bag at the counter. I said I did mind and asked if he could assure me no one was going to go through it seeing as how it had all of my personal; belongings, ID Credit cards and medication in it. He said it wouldn't be a problem and escorted me to the counter and told the sales woman behind the counter I would like to check my bag. I responded no I wouldn't but was being made to. This isn't seemingly a normal thing to have done.as the sales woman had to ask twice about it.. I went back to shopping and noticed a woman with a large Louis bag and stroller shopping. I then looked around and saw all the women with their purses. For some reason as a man with a messenger bag though I was asked to leave mine at the counter. There was no posted signage regarding checking bags and it was obvious I was being singled out. I felt insulted and discriminated against and quickly went back to the counter to get my bag. The sales woman asked if I couldn't find anything to which I replied no I don't intend on spending money here where I am being discriminated against and no other customer has been asked to check their over sized purses as I had. Whether I was being singled out or not it was rude to require me to be the only one to check a bag as if I were some criminal. I will never return to this store and will tell all my friends how I was treated. read more

This is a five star rip-off store!! On Sunday 8/6/2016 I bought a another pair of shoes from the store. The first pair that I purchased in January of this year the entire sole of the left shoe came apart after wearing the shoes one time. Naturally, I was stuck based on Rethreads, (once you buy it, it is yours regardless). I swallowed the loss in stride based on not ever purchasing again from this store. However, I changed my mind, and tried another purchase of shoes, again the defected shoe was left off display until I asked to try it on. Once I examined the shoes, purchased the pair, I took them home, and On 8/9/2016 I wore them with the same result, the entire sole of the left shoe came unattached from the top section. I will return the shoes tomorrow because the store was closed today. I WILL NOT ASK FOR A REFUND BECAUSE THAT IS UNHEARD OF WITH THIS STORE. HOWEVER, I WILL DONATE TO THE OWNER WHO KEEPS RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND CHANGING STAFF AS OFTEN AS SHE TAKES A BATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
