I came in a day early to pick up my tux and did not like the jacket's fit. Don remeasured and had a proper-fitting jacket for the next day. All the other items fit well. I felt the jacket and pants were slightly on the worn side- not bad, but not as crisp and sharp as I expected. I could see this was a rental by the way the sleeves and pant legs are altered. I haven't rented a tux in a long time, as I have had my own for many years, but sadly, I "outgrew" my most recent. So that is to say I've been spoiled by custom-fit tuxes since after I married 40+ years ago, until this one. Maybe I'm being too harsh? I will still recommend them, just be sure you go a day before you need the tux to pick it up in case it needs tweaking.

I took a basket full of items recently and a separate bag of wooden hangers so I could hang them up before presenting them for review. As I walked through the door, I was first chastised for not having them on hangers (I should have walked out immediately), but instead pointed out that I had a bag with hangers and was going to put them on hangers for her to go through the clothes. I was by myself and it made it easier for me to carry in the basket, then the hangers. With a cursory glance at the first three items, she rejected the entire lot of designer labels. ReThreads is not the same- at all. It is unfortunate. It was once a great destination to sell and shop. I don't know if it changed ownership, but the former staff is what created returning customers. I miss the former employees.

They proceeded with asking me when I would be the earliest I can come in. So they booked me in the very next week. I was super excited and was kinda shocked I didn't need to have my dress on hand. I should've taken that as a red flag. April 13th @ 10am I went to the shop and was greeted by a gentleman. He already seemed to be annoyed when he saw me right off the bat. He asked me about my appointment and then, with a blank expression, said, "You can put the dress on now." He didn't offer a private room or to maybe go anywhere other than the foyer by the front door. Keep in mind I've never been to this place, and I said "I don't have the dress on hand," and he replied, throwing his hands in the air, saying, "Well, then what are we gonna do?!" At this moment, I'm trying not to cry because I never experienced this before, and not to mention I'm a first-time bride, so I don't know everything. I proceeded to tell him via email they never specify if I needed the dress or not. That's when he's tone-lighted and was less harsh, and he then told me they go though a third party for emails they receive. The lady who I spoke to very briefly as I was leaving seem more approachable than the gentleman, so I appreciate that, BUT I left that shopping in tears and I felt so small. During this time it's supposed to be exciting for a first-time bride but today was NOT the case. So I hope next time you can extend a little bit of patience, understanding, and compassion to the next bride. Also maybe considering updating your third-party email so others don't get confused and then later on belittled because they didn't know any better.
