Got to go and visit here with family and loved the layout and atmosphere! Lots of different areas to hang out in and sit. Looking for a cabana style spot for you and some friends? Got it. A quiet corner to have a drink and relax? Yup. A main open area to be around groups of people? Check! We loved walking around and exploring the different areas and seeing the views! The flight of ciders was a treat and we enjoyed trying 4 different ones and comparing which we liked best! (Lemon ginger was a BIG hit!) The staff were all friendly and helped narrow down our choices. There's a separate part of the property where they hold weddings and events, which would be beautiful! Looked like they also have food trucks and music in the tap house regularly too. Looking forward to visiting again when I am back in town, gotta try the new seasonal flavor! read more

We stopped here last Thursday to visit my son's friend, Matt who just happens to be the head groundskeeper. Dylan had wanted to show me how beautiful this place has become and also wanted me to meet Matt. Im certainly glad I did! Matt spent some time with us and let us explore the property. Matt is great! Retreat21 is lucky to have him as we found the landscaping to be wonderful. From the patios, to the right amount of gravel on the road, to their gorgeous, landscaped pond and event center and OH! can we mention how they incorporated a 100+ old oak to serve as an altar in their woodland sanctuary. Perfection!!! There is a large guest cabin that can be rented, plus seven other ones and a handful of geodomes. Each cabin has a private hot tub and fire pit. The geodomes just have a fire pit. At the front of the property is a large barn that has been converted to a tasting room. They have several house made craft wines and ciders. You can take those out to enjoy on one of three nice sized patios... one has hanging swings! They serve charcuterie, boards, and flatbreads... I'm on the weekends. They have food trucks. They also have yoga on the weekends that you can do in their vineyard -pretty cool along with other events This is a great addition to the Columbus area and Marysville. I think it's gonna be very successful. Definitely worth the trip to visit. read more

Great setting, country atmosphere, has indoor and outdoor seating available. The service was great, everyone friendly and helpful. We ate from the food truck, it was very tasty. They beer selection was excellent, and although I'm not a huge cider drinker, the ciders on tap sure sounded great. My girlfriend and I will be back for sure. read more

Such a great space! Retreat 21 is beautiful. It's a great place to hang out with friends and family or have a party at their private event space. There are plenty parking space, plenty indoor and outdoor seating. There are outdoor games and there is even a food truck where you can order food and take the food inside of Retreat 21 and enjoy the meal with your drink. Inside of Retreat 21 was nicely decorated with Barn vibe and friendly staff. There is no table service and therefore, some of the tables and sitting area was a little dirty, but over all clean space. We ordered the cider flight and the margherita flatbread. Both of the items were good. The flatbread was fresh and very filling. Paired well with the cider. Also, we ordered the hummus, which was ok, the portion size wasn't that big. Great place to hang out in the summer or fall to take full advantage of the outdoor space. read more

Nothing special.. they had live music and the guy was horrible. The cider vine was good not special. The flatbread was just bread nothing special . Retreat 21 has a taphouse, an event space, a food truck (not their own), and several different outdoor activities like cornhole and Connect-4, plus some pergolas that can be reserved. Inside the taphouse, they have a variety of ciders and wine, along with some flatbread and appetizer options. For our trip, we tried the cider flight and the margherita flatbread. We also got an order of hummus and pita chips. Retreat 21 does not have table service - instead, you order at the counter. You are handed a buzzer, and when the order is ready, the buzzer will go off so you can pick it up. The inside of the taphouse is rustic, and reminiscent of a big barn. Our various ciders were tasty, and the flatbread, which was made to order, was also filling. The hummus and pita chips were just ok - nothing spectacular. I would go back here with a larger group on a nice summer or fall day to take advantage of the nice outdoor setup, and also to check out the food truck. read more

I love this place! Serenity Now! Wine, nature, retreat gives me all the feels. We came for a quick drive thru visit but I definitely want my company retreat here. They have great looking packages online. It was a gorgeous day and by the staff recommendation I went with a frozen mixed treat. Loved the atmosphere until kids got to run around at their leisure. A winery/tap house is NOT a place for kids. Take your kids to a playground, not a place that adults want to hang out. AND....please keep your kids OFF THE TABLES!! The kids were getting on the picnic tables and jumping off.....keep your kids in check people! This is an adult place!! I don't want to come back here if the kid rule doesn't actually apply. I have kids....i didn't let them ruin the time of other adults. Go home shorties!!! It's 9 pm on a Saturday!!! I didn't even know this place existed and it's a mere 15mins from my house! Like a chill oasis away from the hustle and bustle, it's a local's hidden gem. I can tell it's a frequent spot for locals. The space is also a venue space for weddings and special occasions. There's multiple spots around the property for rent/reservation, so perfect for a special occasion, date spot, or just for a casual friends / family gathering. It's elevated and elegant without any stuffiness or pretentiousness. We arrived on a Saturday and there were 2 food trucks, along with live music - both of which were phenomenal! The Joey & Jessica duo were !! The music genre fit perfectly with the setting & my exceptional cider flight and flatbreads just added that perfect touch. They gave me a shot glass tasting of their rose slushie & it was refreshing, tart, and oh soooo good!! I will definitely be back this summer for more! We ordered some additional food from the trucks and pretty much made an evening of it. What a wonderful spot to enjoy a summer evening. read more

First time here and was very impressed. First of all there was a private event going on and the manager first said we couldn't stay but then one of the ladies that was with the event said to go ahead and have a drink and put on her tab so Antwan , the manager said ok it's on the house . We got our wine and went out side to sit so we wouldn't interfere with the event . They make their own wine and it was very good , Antwan came out and ask how we were doing and telling us what all the place had to Offer , and then offered to take us on a tour. He got this big golf cart and took us around the property , they have a huge event place for weddings that he walked us Thu and it was very impressive. He then drove us around to the cabins that was tucked into the edge of the woods for wedding guest . Each one had a hot tub and I think a fire pit . Again very impressive. Then we drove over to a pond which is really a swimming pool with crystal clear water and a beautiful water fall . I believe he said they had 62 acres and in the distance was a beautiful lavender field . He said some it he made drinks out of it which later he gave us a sample of . Antwan was super nice and friendly . He was very proud of the place. Later some one brought us acouple cake pops to eat . We ended up being the last ones to leave. Here we thought we were going to be kicked out and instead we were treated like VIP. My hat off to Antwan ! We will be back , unfortunately I was so caught up on the tour I forgot to take pictures except for acouple . The place is a must see read more

I wanted to show my mom this new place near Marysville. Actually, it is closer to Plain City I believe. This is a new Cider/wine Taproom and across the way is the event space for weddings, etc. First the Taproom has great wine which they make along with their cider which is good as well. I've tried both, I am more of a wine gal but definitely liked the cider. I have also tried the charcuterie board, which is really good. They also offer pizza on the menu along with food trucks occasionally. This place has a lot of outdoor games to entertain your time while enjoying the view and music. The night my mom and I went there was a private event and they said they were not open to the public. But a very nice lady who was with the event told the manager, Antwan to go ahead and let us stay and have a drink. Antwan, said the drinks were on the house. So, we ordered the Cab and right away my mom said this is good wine. She is somewhat picky about her wine. lol Anyway, Antwan came out and started talking to us and offered to take us on a tour of the entire place, wedding venue, cabins and the domes that will house a place to stay for wedding guest. I believe he said they all come with their own hot tub and fire pit. This place is beautiful and spacious. I will take more pictures next time I am there. Been there now 3 times and am always impressed. My new favorite place. Even my husband liked it, even though he does not like wine or cider. But they do have some beer and cocktails. We finally made it here! I've been following their social media since they opened because I love ciders. I moved to the area and finally checked it out. My wife and I drove out to Retreat 21 to watch the sun go down with a glass of wine. This could be the perfect setting for it...but it's not. This is the second time we have tried this place, and just like the first, there were little kids running all over the place in an otherwise adult setting. The first time we just assumed it was because there was a wedding going on, but apparently this has become the place where soccer moms and other parents too cheap to get a sitter on date night come and drink. We grabbed a table outside and were repeatedly disturbed by kids running by and screaming like they were on a playground. There was also an annoying hipster dad who decided that this was a great place to play catch football with his boys, and the ball went under our table at least twice while dude interrupted us to say whoops. There was one table with four moms getting hammered while oblivious to the fact that their children where running full speed all over the outside seating area. We observed several other couples trying to enjoy a drink together who were similarly annoyed, and like us they no doubt left after their first drink and won't be back. Retreat 21's management is clearly aware of the situation as there were signs all over the place informing parents that their kids must stay with them at their table, that they are not permitted to run around the seating area, and that other inconsiderate behavior will not be tolerated. Unfortunately, all of the parents simply ignored this, and not one member of the staff lifted a finger to deal with the situation. I was super excited when I found this place a month ago, and it could really be something special if the adults regained control. Until then, I would avoid it unless you like hanging out in a daycare. read more

Superb! Service from Lensey (sorry if mispelled or wrong!) was excellent, fast, courteous, ...gets it right every time. 2nd time at Retreat21. The cider: it's a perfect dry/semi-dry (which is rare!) with many options of plain apple to some ever so slight/ very complimentary ginger and lavender or mint additions. wow!. The whites: Pinot Grigio, Savaugin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Rose (dry-semi-dry) all all unique and the best around locally IMHO with regards to freshness, crispness, medium acidity, perfect minerality, etc. Some local wines gives us headaches so ingredients are questionable, but NO ISSUES here. We had our littles with us also time and the accommodating area was quite accommodating and fun; having cornhole and jinga next to uswas great. \ 5 star overall. Recommendation for the 2nd food truck: it was hard to see and didnt know it was even there unless we were touring around a bit. It was Philippine and had a slew of tastey options as opposed to some Trukin Chicken truck that was very visible. Glad we found the 2nd one! (PLEASE ADD SIGNS FOR 2ND FOOD TRUCK). This is a hidden gem. It's in the country, but on a main road so easy to get to. The views in the evening are gorgeous. The staff was super friendly. You can sit inside or outside. I love that there is a different food truck each evening. I can only imagine what the event center is like. read more

Beautiful setting but underwhelming as a relaxing night out. Decor was dark, everything including the menus were black. Bartenders not overly friendly or experienced. Drinks were served in odd choice of glasses, mixed drink was served in a champagne flute and a another cocktail was served in a highball glass. Went for a relaxing drink as a group of adults and there were very young children running in bar area dancing, running around and "playground style" swinging on most of the suspended chairs. If you truly want to push the Retreat vibe there needs to be a kid friendly space away from bar and adult area. read more

I attended a wedding here. The "wedding coordinator" who auto defaulted from the location was a crap show. I guess since they are a newer venue, you have to rent EVERYTHING from the cutlery to the napkins. This coordinator "forgot" to place knives out for diner service, she also "forgot" to place water glasses out. So glasses that were hauled and rented just stayed in a box, unpacked and unused. While eating people were looking for where to get a knife- we escalated to the "coordinator" and she stated she saw the mistake when she "reviewed" the tables. She then came out with a handful of knives where here hands were just gripped around the parts that would be touching my food! Now I would understand if they were trying to flip a space in a limited turn around time. This women had more than 24 hours! Literally the tables were set up the night before! So she had time and even reviewed the tables and still failed. This is like failing an online test while cheating! They do not have a clean up crew so most of the guest were stacking chairs and picking up trash towards 11 pm! The most bizarre thing though...the night before they had trash a recycling bins everywhere- on the day of the wedding when I asked where they had gone, the lady stated "just give it to the bartender". So when I went up with trash to hand to the bartender, they just stared at me like why are you handing me your trash? It seems a little crazy to not have a clean up crew and then to also not have basic necessities like trash cans. During the reception multiple large garage doors were open to the outside. When we tried to close the gigantic barn doors where bright light was flooding in, they stated "the owners like them open". When asked why? ( cause I'm looking for some logical excuse las opposed to "because I said so") they said they didn't know and no one had ever asked why before.
