You know, I read the reviews below and they're quite comical. One guy leaves a vague generic review the same day another one leaves one for his Dodge product not working correctly. And a last complains that USPS didn't deliver in 2 days. Sounds like a case of mouth breathers to me. I've been buying sets from these guys for almost 10 years, ever since I found them on ClubRSX. Here's a breakdown of how my experience has gone, as well as proof. I ran a set of 55w H1 6k's on my RSX FOR 2 years, no issues. 55w 9007's on my 02 Impreza wagon, again no issues. The only issue I did encounter was that the wiring didn't work when I plugged it in, HOWEVER the owner went as far as to help me figure out why and it turned out it was the way Subaru's are wired. All I had to do was swap around 2 wires on the blue plug and it worked like a charm. Had these for about a year. Ran a 55w D2S kit on my S2000. Never had a single problem, and the upgrade over the standard and old 35w bulbs was absolutely incredible. Highly recommended! Ran a same kit as above on my 04 TL, as well as a 55w H11 3000k kit in my fogs. 35w 9004 kit on my '92 LS400, and this one did give me an issue. I ended up having a ballast fail, however after following the troubleshooting procedure they instructed me to do to verify it was in fact the ballast, they replaced it under warranty without hesitation. There are no gimmicks, there is no run around. Sometimes they do get busy, but I've never actually waited more than a business day for a reply and that's typically uncommon. My 2008 sti had 35w d2s 6000k bulbs, and 55w 3000k h10 I believe. Again, no failures. Currently have 35w d2s and a 55w 3000k h11 on my TL-S. I recently had 1 bulb fail, but that was my fault. One of my friends is going on year 7 on his H13 bi-xenon 55w kit on his 3000gt. No problems. I've gone through maybe 3 or 4 35w D2S bulb sets on various cars I've owned. The longest I've had a set was 3 years in my Mini Cooper for 65,000 miles, and are still going strong. No discoloration unlike the stock faded ones. Between my personal cars over the last 10 years, and all my friends/family that I've referred to Retro-Solutions there must be 40-50 kits sold and of those less than 5 total component problems. Anytime there was, the company never hesitated to honor their warranty. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt, more than likely I wouldn't be surprised if it's their competitors trying to smear their name. read more

Karma sucks. I shouldve done more research on this company I'm now out 120 dollars for a bulb that has a broken return line and two ballast one of which would fire only when it wanted another that would flicker like crazy. I took steps to remedy the issue new resistors a capacitor. None of that fixed the issues.. now not only am i out 120 dollars have two bad ballast a broken bulb, and one bulb I'm scared to even hook up to my new kit based on the history with the garbage i purchased. This gentlemen surely needed to take time to research new vehicles resistors don't fix everything. I may not be a pro at this stuff but i have absorbed all knowledge i can find on this stuff and have knowledge enough to never purchase from shady places like this anymore. The moment i asked for my money back after spending 2 weeks talking to this guy he closes up shop.. so I'm really screwed on getting my money back. I bought the parts because i solely needed them and had to do a few brake jobs just to pay for Christmas because i couldn't afford to even order this garbage to begin with. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! There are more credible companies out there that do honest work. The lights they claim high quality are far from it and will fail shortly after purchase. This will result in you sending countless emails over a years time before they give you the ok to submit a warranty claim. When you submit the warranty claim they will claim that you damaged them and charge you for shipping to return your defective products. They will also recommend you buy another one of their junk kits to solve the problem. Once you file a claim with the BBB they will lie through their teeth claiming that the problem is with your car and that they tried resolving the issue but you declined. Then they will email you saying that they will now honor the warranty only if you call the BBB and tell them that you made a false claim... Yeah right... Dont pay top dollar for junk and a scam like I did. This company should be forced to shut down for lack of integrity, theft, deceptive trade, false claims, and lies. DONT BUY RETRO SOLUTIONS!!!!!! Poor customer service and unwilling to take responsibility. I understand they cannot control what happens during shipment, but they can control the shipping company they choose to work with. I paid for 2 day shipping and did not receive my product for a week and I needed it in that certain time frame. Very frustrating. I emailed customer service to ask for a refund in the shipping cost, not much to ask for. They emailed me back saying they weren't responsible and basically I'm SOL. No apology, no attempt to rectify the situation, not even a hint of personality. Just a cold robotic "sucks for you" response. I will not shop here again. read more

Stay away guys. I bought a 55 watt digital kit from them. Within 3 months one of the ballast died. They advertise a life time warranty on this kit, couldn't even get it replaced through them. Gave me some run around that a wiring relay is required. Bought the wiring relay, ballast still dead. They gave me the round around again that because I didn't run a wiring relay in the first place my warranty is voided. This is not stated anywhere in their F.A.Q section. They claim to be helpful and not simply sell you a product. Well they do just that, sell you a product. When problems arises such they run. Never again. read more

I emailed Retro-Solutions on 10/29/18 and today is 11/27/18 I still have not heard a word from them. My son bought the Digital 35W headlights for my 2009 Edge. The ballast has a burned connector and I have no headlight. I'm trying to get a new ballast. You can't call them as they have a recording to contact them via email. I guess I'll take my car to Ford and get stock headlights re- installed. read more

Too bad there's not zero star, I would would of give them one. I'm alway a return customer I have many ballast in the past I bought from that died on me even when I use there relay. They claiming has life time warranty, but when I call them I was told they discontinued those model. That I have to buy a new one, I was very disappoint, but nice enough to give them another chance so I bought another one. Also today I just bought me a new car and I wanted to give the one more chance. I just spent over $300 for a set of led fog light bulb, led high beam and a digital hid kit from them. But when I received it I was so excited to put it on. But up on my unboxing I notice one of the hid bulb one of the wire seem like it was stripped out like it was pull out. So I give them a call all day and no one pick up. So I email them and they ask me for pictures to show them so I did. We was going back and forth with the email, I gave them all the details proof of my order. And now they just ignored all my email and never got back to me. If anyone can avoid this company please do so. Next step is to complain this to the BBB about there service. Now they going to lose a loyal customer like me!! read more

avoid these guys like the flu virus. kits are pricey in their pretty box..box is the best thing you'll get. I saw somebody who bought one and it worked so i bit the bullet cuz i was concerned about the pulsed DRL's the harness is a joke. it had bare wires showing and it didnt work. i go to flick my high beams and it cuts power to both ballasts. DRL's do not work. no returns on their equipment. you have to fill out this full page return/RMA form for them to "bench test" the product. You have to send back the product at your own expense.. I have installed HUNDREDS of HID kits. The harness is what really irked me.. such a cheap mess. cheezy skinny wire, cheezy fuse block like you'd see on a 25$ radio harness, you have to ground each ballast at each end. Ever seen an INTENSEHID harness?? i have had one of their kits in my GTP for 5 years and not one issue. bought the kit for my girl for xmas now i have to wait while they "bench test" and make me jump thru hoops for their 9$ harness. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I am not one to complain but .. i paid a premium for a crap setup and id just like to warn others. IntenseHID blows these guys away.. even if they only have a 1 yr warranty. never again will i buy from retro... read more
