One of my favorite stops for a latte! I've been loving their seasonal tiramisu latte, so fun and aesthetic! Their food is also good, of course, cafe coffee and breakfast items are not cheap, I mean you can't even go to McDonald's without flinching at the cost, so be prepared for this to not be your basic cup of black coffee and croissant. What a lovely coffee shop at the sebastopol! It's such a good thing to have a third wave coffee roasters in the area. I spent a day trip from south bay to this small town for lunch, gift hunting and last by not least, the coffee! I found this place on Yelp and quickly bookmarked this place. The coffee shop is very cozy and lots of seating inside and some seating at the front. There is a huge food menu but we didn't get to try it. Tried pour over of their ethopia natural processed and sulawesi, both are light roast and are amazing! We ended up buying those beans as well They do give a cup of coffee along a purchase, but i ended up getting a nitro and paying the price difference, the staff are friendly and very helpful. Coffee outstanding, I am a purist I have to admit, so the espresso service with a glass of water is the bomb. Cappuccino delicious for sure, which is my go to. The bakery and food selections have always simply looked at me as mouthwatering and delicious but I have resisted so far. Also buy my beans here for my home espresso machine - that's the best part, because they are always super fresh. This is the best coffee in Sonoma county in my opinion and their gluten free and vegan snack options are top notch. Don't miss the gluten free vegan breakfast sandwich. Such friendly staff and solid drinks. The cold brew coffee and cold brew green tea were both enjoyable. They were out of the Yama Cold Brew coffee, so ordered the Rocket Man instead. The cold brew jasmine green tea was light and smooth, so if you're looking for strong and bitter, this would not be your drink. Seating inside, outside on sidewalk, and courtyard in the back. Public bathroom available outside in the back, ask for code. Staff was helpful when I asked for something to fill water with for doggo. Water is self-serve, metal straws, creamer, milk, sugar available for your use. Would return if in the area to try one of their lattes. Very close to being the perfect coffee shop. The food and drinks are wonderful, the folks working there are super friendly, and despite being very third wave it still has an old-school hippie cafe vibe, complete with rotating local artwork on the walls. Bonus points for great pastries, a solid breakfast sandwich, and the cold brew game is unmatched - they have a house blend, light roast, New Orleans style (which can be dairy-free), and a decaf cold brew. Plus they always have decaf drip in case its too late in the day for the real stuff. And it's not my thing, but my wife assures me their syrups and seasonal drinks are top notch. They roast tons of different single origin beans in-house and you get a free cup of drip when you buy a bag. I've probably gone through 40 since moving here. It's an okay place to work but don't come here counting on finding a table or taking a zoom meeting, it's often pretty busy and decently loud in a good way. read more

But for $6 it was a worthwhile choice to get our day started. They have a vegan option available with house-made tofu that also sounded good. Sebastopol definitely has an overabundance of little hippie coffee spots, and each one better than the next. Retrograde is one of the newest is town but slowly becoming my favorite. It's my go-to coffee when I'm strolling down Main Street and need a little pick me up. The location is close enough to walk to when your doing some shopping, Yet far enough away that you'll find some convenient parking close by. In my numerous visits I've had nothing but positive experiences with Retrograde. The baristas are always so welcoming and friendly and happy to help me with my order. I went to order a cold brew and when I mentioned I wanted some added syrup in my coffee my barista, Danielle, recommended I order the Big Easy. Oh man, so tasty! It was very sweet yet I was still able to taste the richness from the cold brew. Highly recommend this drink on a hot day when you need a little sweetness in your life. Can't wait to return and try more off the menu! Additionally the cozy modern atmosphere in this place is prime for spending a few hours relaxing with a book or working on your computer. The chairs are very comfy and you really need that for a good work space. Will definitely be returning to hide from this heat and cool down with an iced coffee. read more

Stopped by this place as we did some wedding venue tours. The staff is so warm and friendly. Just adorable great service. I ordered a turmeric latte with soy. I think it was quite tasty. Just enough turmeric to spice up the flavor and color. Good amount of froth. For food, I ordered a turkey pesto with bacon. At first glance you think, this little thing won't be filling enough. Wrong! The cheese is nice and melted. You can tell the pesto is made in house because for my taste, it was nice and tangy. Some pesto can have too much oil and not enough flavor. This was great. Add some arugula. I'd say the big factor is always getting a warm sandwich. But it's optional. Overall surprisingly great stop, now I get why it was so packed with locals. read more
