We came here for a later lunch, and we ordered: +a Reuban - on a beautifully toasty grilled rye bread, filled generously with slices of corned beef, sauerkraut, and dressing, this was so good as it was hot hot hot! +a Cheesesteak - I only had the grilled onions and mayo with this; you can opt for provolone or American cheese, in which I stuck with the provolone; this was a simple cheesesteak, seasoned well, and a good sub bread was used +a 1/2 and 1/2 - I was warned that the tea was 'sweet' - this combination was what I was looking for! It has that slight syrupy taste that I like, and it was super refreshing! Service was so sweet and kind! I don't mind low brown places, but this place is really simple. 3 tables and a counter. That's it for seating. Most of the people who came in while I was there seemed to be locals and they took their food to go. My western omelette was very good. The rye toast was also good. The breakfast potatoes were only so-so. But I was very full when I left. Overall, this is a situation where it is fine if you know what to expect, but may be a negative if you were expecting a diner-style eatery. For example, I ate there and got my food on a cafeteria tray with plastic utensils. If you know that's what you are going to get, you should be ok with that. But if you were expecting at least table service with metal utensils, this would be a downer. In summary, a good value, decent food and quantity. But zero ambiance. read more

I tried out breakfast at Reuben's Restaurant today, and it was a funny, little place. It's very a "ma and pop" restaurant for the local community. The food was okay. My husband's ham, egg, and cheese omelet was better than my scrambled eggs were. The owners seemed very nice and accommodating. I will say that the food was reasonably priced which was good. We ordered four meals, and we only paid 35 dollars or so. It's not going to be a go to restaurant for our family, but I do want to go back sometime and try their sandwiches! read more

An older couple run the whole operation; the man taking orders/running register and the lady operates the old school grill. They are open for breakfast, lunch, & dinner with a surprising array of choices. I never expect to find scrapple outside of PA, but they have it here! Its for the working man. Hell, its just plain American. ..and by that, I mean its run by an asian family. Also, I think it may double as a liquor store. If that hasn't sold you, then I have two words for you: Bacon. Cheesesteak. So what if that may actually be three words, the jury is still out on that. But who cares? Because you had me at bacon. And then you have the audacity to throw a cheesesteak on the tail end there? That is my first favorite food paired with my second favorite food. I got hungry just thinking about it.
