Yikes. This place gets loads of great reviews. Good things are that the parking lot is nearby and easily accessible. We purchased tickets in advance and were there when it opened so were the first to go up. The elevators are fast, fun, and offer a great view. That is probably the highlight of the experience. Once in the Tower itself, there was nothing to do except walk around and look at the city. I was expecting much more, having been in similar towers in other places where there is food, refreshments, and other activities to keep people busy. My wife and I were up there for a dismal 10 to 15 minutes before we descended and left. read more

My wife and I have been to Reunion Tower a handful of times. We usually will come here when our friends and family come to visit us here in Texas. Reunion Tower is always a hit. It is really neat to see the beautiful Dallas skyline from up the top. Going on a nice sunny day is better because of the clarity of everything, but even going on a stormy cloudy day, it is really pretty to see Dallas and the clouds. It makes for a nice picture of the view!! If you are thinking about going, just do it. It's nothing fancy, but it's definitely something to do for family or friends visiting the area. :) read more

We actually did a paint and sip by Clarity and Chaos. We found it under events. It was amazing!!!! I am no artist. I can't draw a straight line but our artist was able to guide us in 90 minutes to make a painting the resembled the post card on the table. Social distancing and COVID-19 protocol made me feel safe and a lovely lady came to visit is often to ensure we were well hydrated. The revolving of the tower was smooth and the view was amazing. The take off is a little abrupt but once it begins it is enjoyable. I would highly recommend this experience! read more

We arrived around 4:20 for our 5pm reservation. Upon arrival Amanda (manager) told everyone if you have a 5pm reservation to step into a line in the middle of the hall behind a sign that she had wrote 5-5:30 reservations. Everyone before 5 was directed to stand against the wall. She proceeded to let everyone in who was standing against the wall and bounced back to our line to answer a question. She then erased the -5:30 from her sign and announced that anyone with 5:30 needs to be in a 3rd line. Around 4:30, our line was moved to the wall and I noticed Amanda was telling majority of the people in our line to go stand in a ticket line but was unsure the reason until it came time for her to greet us. We also were directed to stand in the ticket line although we already had tickets with a 5pm reservation time. We stood in the long line as directed. While waiting in line, another employee came up and said if you have reservations at 5 to go stand in the line up against the wall. Myself and another customer began to tell her that Amanda told us to come get in this line. She had us wait and went over to speak with Amanda. We continued to wait in the long line and then showed our City Pass voucher and was given a 5pm print out and was directed back to the line by the wall. We were let in right at 5 through the 1st entrance only to find that there was another very long line to wait for the elevator to go up. We made it up to the top at around 5:35. I booked at 5pm so that I could see the sun before sunset. By the time we arrived the sun had already set so I missed the picture that I wanted to take with my family all because there was no clear procedure on City Pass customers. I asked for compensation but was only offered a print picture as Amanda said she is unable to refund when booked through a 3rd party. Because there was no clear procedure on how to handle City Pass customers, those with 5:30 who booked direct was moved into our spot so we had to wait for them. Roughly a decade ago, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas for a conference. I figured out during this trip that Reunion Tower is right next to it. If I had looked up ten years ago, I would have known about it. Better late than not looking up ever! I drove over here on my second full day in Dallas. I found parking close by and it was a cinch to park my car. You can park there for up to four hours for $9. That's pretty good. Credit cards are accepted. I liked how that the sidewalk had markers to indicate how to get to the tower. The markers start at Reunion Park, which is across the street from the parking lot. You get tickets downstairs at Reunion Tower. I did and paid by credit card. The woman was nice. However, I had a hard time understanding what she meant by "follow the tile to get to the elevator." The "tile" is really the floor being coloured as a thin line. You just follow this coloured, wide strip to the elevators. When I think of tile, I think of squares on the floor. It may make sense to locals, but it doesn't to this Canadian. It's a walkway that has a thin, coloured line. After spending more time than necessary to get what tile meant, I got my photo taken at the next stop before the elevator. I chose a cowboy hat from the various props and took a couple of photos. You get a receipt to buy photos, if you'd like, at the gift store. I decided to look at the photos online and download them. That's your cheaper option. I had a nice woman take me up to the observation deck. She talked about how high the tower is and how fast the elevator would take us up there. She was knowledgeable and friendly. It does get cold if you go outside on the deck. There were moments were it was even a bit chilly for me, but i took photos of the downtown area and more. I loved it. Inside the observation deck, there are interactive screens where you can learn about John F. Kennedy's assassination, and historical facts about buildings and bridges that you are looking at. Nice! There's a snack bar if you need food or munchies. The downside is that it takes you roughly half an hour to see everything that you want. You pay $16 for the view. It's a bit costly, as I found that the Stratosphere in Las Vegas and the CN Tower in Toronto offer more bang for your buck. However, it was my first time there, so I was fine shelling out. The gift shop is there just before you leave the tower. The woman there asked if there was anything that I was looking for. I had to tell her that I don't know what I am looking for. I was there to browse. I didn't find anything that I needed, left, and walked back to my car. If you have an hour to spare and want to take beautiful skyline photos from a tower, come here. Must do in Dallas!!! I've been living in Dallas the last 2.5 years and been wanting to visit the Reunion Tower for some time now. So glad we were able to make it out this past weekend... it was 100% worth it. The costs were $35.00 for my spouse and myself for the day pass. The night pass was an additional $5.00 per person. The Geo Deck was nice, not too crowded on our visit. The second level was the moving cafe. You are able to enjoy a meal, snack, burgers, drinks, candy, coffee or a glass of wine. The entire cafe rotates 360 degrees in 45 minutes. It's very nice because you're able to enjoy a meal and or drinks while sitting at a table and chairs while rotating to changing views. I highly recommend going 2 hours before sunset so you can see everything, enjoy the observation deck, then head upstairs to the cafe for a reasonably priced meal, snack or drink while you wait to see the sunset. I've been to many different towers here in America and abroad, but this one seems to be compared to Seattle's Space Needle a lot. Now it may not be as tall or fancy looking as Seattle's, but its enough to serve its purpose on attracting tourists and showing off this majestic land we call Texas! P-A-R-K-I-N-G To start, you can either park at the Radish Parking lot across the street or at the Hyatt/Ace Parking Lot where it is located. T-I-C-K-E-T-S Adults $17, $14 for seniors, and $8 for kids. It was our first time there, so we purchased tickets at the booth. I'm sure you can find a deal online if you plan to save a few bucks. Or maybe see if it's part of CityPass. S-E-R-V-I-C-E As far as service, we asked a lot of questions at the ticket counter, and we were cordially responded to by the staff doing so. On our way onto and up the viewing elevator, and up to the Cloud 9 Cafe, we were entertained by Aja the elevator controller. She told us some facts and caught the kids' attention. To some she may have been irritating, but to me she was simply hilarious. She made the kids laugh, so kudos to her for the free entertainment! D-R-I-N-K-S & B-I-T-E-S Normally I would do the restaurant, but being pressed for time we only tried out the cafe. They've got a revolving restaurant called the Five Sixty, but I'll save that experience for my next trip. As for the cafe, it is pretty pricey for appetizers, drinks, and desserts, but that's just expected. Here's what we tried: ~ Pimento Cheese Dip ($9), decent and filling. ~ Home Fries ($8), gotta love that parmesan! ~ Beef Sliders ($12), surprisingly meaty good as well! With a cool Texas branding on the bun too. ~ Grilled Cheese ($9), eh its cheese and bread with fig spread. ~ Cookies ($7), the kids killed it. ~ Cloud 9 Chocolate Tower ($11), now THIS was FUN! And was a total replica of the tower. It seemed to have like five or six different chocolate parts, loved it! ~ Bogle Cabernet Sauvignon ($8), a great complement to the chocolate tower! V-I-E-W-S After the Cloud 9 Cafe we took the stairs down to the GeO-deck. This is where, like the Space Needle, it opens up. You feel the fresh air and take in all of Dallas's beauty. Take pictures, selfies, or simply scope out what you can view through the spyglass. But please be warned about sticking your phone outside of the fencing, as it's a looooong way down for your phone to drop lol. I'm sure its happened before. Anyways, our experience here was pleasant! Here's a tip when I visit these type of attractions; Go within the last within the last 90 minutes of closing. Why? Because most big tour groups show up at opening. Plus, sometimes the night time view is better than day. It wasn't busy at all when we went, so I'm glad I got to see Dallas from a different perspective. Management should look at the tower in Boston - it's so much better! Just when you think of people can't get any dumber. We wait in line for a half hour finally get to the front and they send us to the next elevator to be last in the line of 25 people and the people behind us got to be first of the first elevator. Reunion Tower Clear signage showed us the way to the self parking lot (only $6) to a short path underneath the tower. Veer to the left for the entrance and follow along towards the ticket counter. I'd grab your tickets online, but if you're brave enough you can score some at the kiosk. Creep around the corner for your obligatory picture- avoid green colors for optimal gimmickry. Once you're done, you'll find yourself greeted at the elevator. Hop in and hug the back so you can enjoy the view as you soar to the sky. Once you're at the top, I'd recommend reviewing the interactive screens inside so you know what your looking at when you brave the elements. Free telescopes are available outside for closer inspection, but carry a dollars for the souvenir coins for the kids. It's 51 cents for those. The restaurant was closed, but a snack machine with a credit card is available along with ice cream to enjoy on a few small tables inside before you return to normal. Before you leave, grab a $6 magnet on the left wall as you enter to mark the occasion. After you're down, try grabbing the train to Bishop Arts District or walk down to Dealey Plaza. Make sure you visit the Reunion Tower on your trip to Dallas. I booked 6:30 pm reservations online around 11 am the same day. It does not appear you need to book days in advance. The timing was perfect to catch the sunset. The facility had the entry partitioned for social distancing and check in was hands free. There are also several sani pumps throughout. The elevator ride to the top goes by so quick and before you know if your outside on the viewing deck in the warm breeze. There was a bartender and seemed like people come up to drink and take pictures before the club. The whole family loved it. It was an amazing experience! However, we've never been there before so we didn't know what to expect. If you're going on a Saturday night, make sure to book about 30 minutes ahead of the time you actually want to be there. I booked it for 7 pm, hoping to see the sun go down but probably didn't get up there til after 7:30 pm. After checking in, you wait in line to take your pictures. Then, you wait in another line to go on the elevator. If you have plans after visiting the Reunion Tower, make sure to plan extra time in between. Nice place to visit! Went with hubby to visit it and we were pleasantly surprised by its beauty and views. We think a nice coffee shop up in the Geodeck would have been a nice touch. Front staff was rude. We asked how long the tickets are valid for and the first person told us "30 days" then corrected himself and said "up to one year". We then noticed online it doesn't say one year so we asked the simple question a second time to verify that the first person told us right. Afterwards, the same first person started shaking their head saying "I already answered their question" with an attitude while we were still there. I reminded him that was the one who told us one year. He gave attitude saying that he had told us 30 days the first time. The Reunion Tower offers some of the most beautiful views that you'll find in Dallas! Located in the Hyatt Regency, the tower spans about 50 stories tall and offers some of the most glorious views of the city. Before you enter the elevator, you'll have to pay a fee if $18 (plus tax), and your picture will be taken on a backdrop where they will impose a faux image of the tower. They will give you a ticket with a number to use to either email or purchase your ticket at a kiosk in the tower lounge. You might have to wait until the previous group has come down from the tower first. I'm not sure if this is on a timed schedule, but I think I waited for about 15 minutes. You then will be escorted to an elevator that will take you to the top of the tower. On your way up, your chauffeur will explain the history of the tower and will give you some tips on how to navigate your way through the lounge. Once you've made it to the top, you'll arrive at the tower lounge. Here, you can sit, eat at the cafe, enjoy the views from the inside, or maneuver their interactive touch screen. The touch screen is really informative and provides some helpful information about some of the other popular Dallas landmarks. If you want a more personal experience, you can go outside and enjoy the view on the deck! The deck is covered by a wire gate which makes it hard to get the perfect picture. But with patience and the right technique and angle, you can get lots of great photos! You can also use their telescopes for free! I was able to capture photos of the both Bridges, Dealey Plaza, downtown Dallas, and a gorgeous sunset! The sunset was absolutely beautiful to see, but it was super windy so be careful and bring a coat! I didn't stay until night time since I walked to the hotel, but I have heard that the night time view is spectacular! The tower offers a few different ticket packages that include dinner and discounts if you are planning on viewing more than once. For the beautiful views, I would say that I got my money's worth and I wouldn't mind coming back again. read more

YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017 - PART 3: 57/100 This is the place to be if you want to see the entire Dallas area - the skyline, a clear view of the sixth floor museum at Dealey, and the like. It's my second trip here (I returned as a tour guide.) We were on a tight schedule and only had so much time to hangout, but it was a stop I didn't want those tourists to miss. So, in lieu of parking across the street and walking in the heat, I opted for valet ($19.) Tickets were $17/adult. (I felt both were a bit pricey. For a moment there, I thought I was back in Los Angeles!) There is an elevator operator that will take you up all 93 floors who happens to be available for questions before and after your trip. He gave us a few fun facts. Once up there, there are things to keep both adults and kids busy: plenty of interactive touch screens, create your own constellation, tons of telescopes, but the view is really what takes the cake. The pictures they take prior to jumping on that elevator is free. All you need is an email address. (But you do have the option of having it printed for $7.99.) It was a good stop, and although we enjoyed it, I doubt there will be a return visit - or at least not one anytime soon. It's overpriced for a less-than-an-hour stop. Good to experience as a tourist, they have a Cafe inside where you can eat if you don't have a budget. It was my first time here, definitely a good experience it was nice to see Dallas in a 360 view, they also have a place where you can read the history of certain buildings that you can see from the tower, pretty good history lessened something new. Staff here is friendly and you can tell they want you to have a good time. My only complaint is that the cafe up there was closed when they should've been open. I had planned on grabbing a drink up there and was disappointed not to be able to. Ticket is only good for one time up so be aware of that. Great view of Dallas! I recommend timing your visit during sunset. Be prepared to walk up a steep hill if you're traveling by foot to the tower, which is located near the Hyatt Regency hotel. I recently had a production in Dallas and the first thing I did after eating brunch was head up the 400 ft. Reunion Tower to get beautiful footage and photos of Dallas, Texas. It was truly an amazing experience to see the whole city from that perspective. Once you go up the elevator you have a panoramic view of the city inside and can also walk outside on a balcony. You can then go up another floor to the cafe/bar which has a rotating conveyer belt so while you are seated you're spinning slowly around the whole view. It costs about $18.50 and parking is about $7. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you're in Dallas! read more
