After seeing this place so many times, I decided to go in. I got the half slab ribs and chicken with a biscuit instead of cornbread. I also got a side order of greens, although, as the daughter of a GRITS (Girls Raised In The South), greens and Mac & cheese have to be next level. First, the chicken was crisp and juicy. I really like this little spot. Popping in while running errands, I had a little conversation with the cashier, discussing their 1st location in Kennesaw, with plans for expansion as well. He also took the time to tell me a little bit about their offerings. Their chicken sand has two chicken breasts, thankfully not breaded - but more than a handful. I got Fried Chicken, Mashed potatoes, and Cornbread (they gave me 2 drums instead of one) that was nice. The cornbread was good it reminded me of my grandmother's cornbread. It didn't make it out the car ride home. The chicken was also cool, The gravy has pork in it, I didn't realize that until I got home so I didn't eat the gravy but the Mashed potatoes are good. The young African American lady that helped me had a great attitude she said today was her first day at work. Her co worker also helped me with suggestions on what to purchase. I appreciated that. Why bring it out to you on real plates and a tray. For a family of four, we had the fried chicken meals with sides and buffalo chicken wings (whole wings). Everything was good! I've never seen my kids eat so fast, even the youngest ate all of his food. The sides were god too- fries, collards, and sweet potatoes. We also had cornbread and a biscuit, both kind of dry. We came in to eat fried chicken per good reviews. The service was excellent you order at the counter and tuen they bring your food to you! I had fried chicken with fried okra and red beans and rice. The food was delicious and the sweet cornbread and sweet tea very good! My wife's chicken tenders were good she exclaimed. They have desserts like ice cream, brownies, and cookies for your sweet tooth but as a diabetic I pass. Every Tuesday 1 free kids meal with any purchase. Wow! I have been by this location so many times I can't even count but never stopped in until recently. I had heard online that cozy coop doesn't use seed oils and instead cooks their food in beef tallow so I thought I would give them a try. I can't believe how delicious my meal was!! I had three tenders, collard greens, cornbread and tea and it was absolutely excellent. We went to the drive thru on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't crowded so we were immediately greeted and able to ask a few questions since it was our first time. I had ordered two meals which come with a side and either cornbread/biscuit one with the 1/2 rack of ribs + the 4 tenders. The presentation of the food was good with glass plates. The ribs were unexpectedly nice and tender with a nice amount of BBQ on the skin. The fries were fresh as they came out crispy and hot. The side of bread was a unique touch I felt that the biscuit was more worth it than the cornbread just because the biscuit didn't make my mouth that much dried out needing a drink but still good. On July 19, 2024 I decided to give this new Chicken restaurant a try. It had opened a few weeks earlier and I thought enough time had passed for them to work out the new business kinks. I was there at 4:30pm to eat an early dinner. I expected at that time of day, they would be preparing fresh food for dinner service. Boy was I wrong on that assumption. The first thing that struck me was how high the prices were, as compared to nearby chicken restaurants. My bill for a 2 piece dark meat chicken meal with a regular side of corn and a piece of cornbread was just under $13 including tax. The chicken itself wasn't fresh. It was cold and seemed to have been sitting in a not-so-warm warming cabinet since lunch time. It was dry and not very good. The corn cobs were also old and the kernels along the edges were dried out and the whole corn cob was overcooked. Most restaurants when serving corn on the cob, put a skewer into the end of the cob, so the diner can eat the corn and keep their hands clean. Cozy Coop didn't do that. I asked if they had some toothpicks. I will use a couple of toothpicks to stick in the ends of the cob to give me a corn cob holder. Cozy Coop didn't have any toothpicks. The only part of the meal that was decent and tasted good was the piece of cornbread. I can understand when a business tries to do an up-sale to increase the order and profits. I'm OK with it when they are honest and explain the up-sale is at added cost and they say what the added cost will be. Cozy Coop wasn't honest when they tried to do an up-sale on my order. They asked if I wanted to have a "hot Honey drizzle" on the chicken. Again I can understand them asking if that is something I wanted because not every person wants Honey on their fried chicken. What they didn't do was say that the Honey drizzle was an extra cost item and they didn't say what the price would be. They tried to sneak this extra cost item onto my bill and make me think it was an included option for my meal. Good thing I noticed the cash register screen display the Honey drizzle as a 75 cent extra. When I saw that, I had them remove it from the order and the bill. In summary, Cozy Coop in Roswell is not an honest or good restaurant. I won't be going back there. I predict they won't last more than a year. read more

Quality option for fried chicken. Had a two piece (drum and thigh) with three sides. Sides- coleslaw, fried okra, plantains were all delicious. Biscuit was light and flaky. Also had the chef salad with grilled chicken. The vinaigrette dressing was very good. The chicken was served on the side. Recommend that when ordering they ask if you would like it cut up because the only utensils were a plastic knife and fork, which was cumbersome when trying to cut up the chicken. The front of the house stated that once the chicken leaves the back, it can't be taken to the kitchen to cut it. overall, an excellent option over other comparable type chicken restaurants. I have only good things to say about the restaurant and the manager. We have ordered multiple times and the food is always delicious and the staff are very accomodating and easy to work with. The last time I ordered for the office, our lunch was cancelled last minute, and our window of time for our staff to be able to sit down and eat is very limited. I called to see if they would be able to do a catering order on short notice and they assured me they would make it happen. Within 30 minutes, they had prepared Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, a cobb salad and cornbread and biscuits for 22 people. Chicken was lightly coated, crispy, hot, and juicy to the bone. CC's okra was good, crispy and lightly coated yet the breading on church's okra with cornmeal is my hands down favorite. Thumbs up on cornbread, collards and yams There is a 'home sauce' that, although not needed, compliments the food. BTW, you simply will NOT find these homecooked type sides at the C, P, or K natl. chain chicken joints. Generous potions were served, which made two complete meals. It may be a single meal if you overindulge, so although tempting, try not to. Agreed? Okay. IMO quality and quantity was worth the price, 27 bucks (prices are up everywhere lately as we have spent more at DQ and tacobell).
