Went here for a birthday brunch with my family. I got the chicken and waffles which was good. Most of my family got the traditional plate, which were fine. We did feel it was a bit expensive for what it was, considering 2 eggs bacon and potatoes was the same price as the chicken and waffles. My latte was also a big overpriced. Service was great, our waitress was very friendly. The inside of the restaurant was nice, good for a casual brunch. Not a bad time, but probably would not return because of the cost for the quality. read more

So happy this place was participating in restaurant week cause I probably never would have found this hidden gem. Great atmosphere .. live music on Friday and Saturday. The place has a good vibe. The owner/chef and manager both came to our table to make sure we were ok and everything was good. From beginning to end the food was amazing!! The only thing I would change is the spinach, artichoke dip needed to be a little thicker and more spinach, but the flavors were there. The portion sizes were just right. The Vick has quickly become one of our favorite spots for brunch or dinner. The interiors are beautiful and cozy. You can dress up or down, and feel comfortable regardless. The owner and staff are on top of their game and give such personalized care to every table. Service is 10/10. And the FOOD omgggg my kids love the French toast sticks so much we had to order two rounds. Kudos to this amazing team for creating a beautiful and memorable customer experience. I came here on a Sunday around 1pm for brunch with a friend. There was free parking across the street in the construction lot. When we walked in we were greeted immediately and taken to our table. I ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop which was mixed very well and tasted delicious. My friend ordered the peanut butter espresso martini and enjoyed it as well. The Lamb chops and eggs were seasoned perfectly. All the food was really tasty. There is live music on Sundays which was nice and the servers were attentive and friendly. I really don't like leaving negative reviews but I also feel like it's important to be truthful so that others have a clear picture of what they might experience. I had this place bookmarked since I moved to Roswell but the first time hubby and I went to check it out, we were disappointed to learn that there was no cook available. It was nearly 4 pm on a weekday, but we are early birds, so this is typical for us. When we walked in, the place was empty and the one staff member inside informed us that they were open for coffee and cocktails but that they don't have a cook available for food between the hours of 3-5. This was a big disappointment as like I said, this window is precisely when we prefer to have dinner, but we decided to come back some other day when we were prepared to eat a little later. A few weeks later, we had a busy day that kept us from our normal dining window, so we decided it was the right time to try this place again. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. While the space itself is super cute and cozy, the service was just plain awful! We ordered wings to start but our main meals came out before the appetizer, which makes no sense whatsoever and was frankly very frustrating. There was no apology for that either so maybe this is just their way of doing things? Weird. Anyway, I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and my husband ordered some type of bowl. It's a good thing I had the wings to eat along with the sandwich because boy was that the tiniest sandwich I have ever seen! You would think such a tiny sandwich would come with a tiny pricetag but alas that was not the case. The taste was decent, but it was definitely soured by the overall experience. The rum and coke wings had a unique flavor and I would probably have returned just for those if the service had not been so terrible. In addition to receiving our appetizer a few minutes after getting our mains with no apology or explanation, the server never bothered to come around again or refill our very empty drinks until well after we were ready to ask for the bill and get out of there. Needless to say, I have removed this place from our bookmarks and we will not be back. It seems from the reviews that ours might have been an exception as most people seem to really like it here, but you never get a second chance to make a first impression and they failed at it twice, so that's enough for me to stay away for good. read more

I had lunch with a previous coworker and her daughter one day at The Vick. You can order from either the breakfast menu, lunch menu, or brunch menu. I was in a I ordered the chicken and provolone panini with a side of fries. The panini was just okay. I really loved that the sandwich was made with sourdough bread. I think that's some of the best bread for a sandwich. My coworker ordered the shrimp and grits and said she really liked there. We didn't see a kid's menu so she just ordered her daughter the French toast sticks. I really liked the set up of the restaurant. It was nice and quaint with a cozy vibe. OMG! I literally just had the best breakfast sandwich of my life! It had bacon, onion jam, cheddar cheese, egg and siracha mayo on a butter brioche bun. The fruit was also so delicious! Brett provided great service and our food came out in a good amount of time. The place itself is sooo pretty, has the cutest decor and a couple of good photo ops. We had dinner a couple of nights ago and decided to go for breakfast this morning. The food is freshly prepared and served nice and hot. We had a Philly cheesesteak (could have used more meat) and the sliders. Cocktails were good, especially the peach martini. For breakfast, we enjoyed the classic with eggs, sausage, grits and a biscuit. The basics done very well. It will be our go to place for casual dinners and breakfast/brunch. read more

LOVED this place. I came at 11 am and it was so quiet, I got to choose wherever I wanted to sit and the environment was just very calming. There were televisions that had "cozy" fires on it and beautiful art work. There were about 5 people in there at max. Perfect brunch. The waiter was so nice and sweet! He seemed to be working the bar and waiting the food and taking orders. Kudos to him! I ordered a mango mimosa which was lovely and the chicken and waffles. The waffles were so soft and the powdered sugar was a great addition to it. The chicken was very flavorful and crispy, it paired so well with the waffle. Best combo in history. I also did not have to wait long for anything. I was in and out in about 30/35 min. Definitely will be going back! read more

Very cute spot off Canton Street in Roswell. It is not a huge space so I would expect some sort of wait at prime time. We came with some friends for Sunday Brunch and there was live music. It was a bit loud so I was happy we were towards the back of the restaurant. The servers were kind and the food was delicious. The Vick is really neat place on the North side of Canton Street. My buddy and I came for jazz night, which was really well done and mellow. This was outside event in pleasant atmosphere. We had tasty appetizers for several hours, which turned into a dinner. Music was good too. Friendly servers and bartenders. Bathrooms are weird as you have to take a step up, don't trip! Amazingly not too busy, as folks have not caught on to how good this place is. Comp valet parking which was huge win, as street parking is a pain around here. Well I kind of want to keep this hidden gem a little secret because the decor, service, food, location and drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) are the best ! It is everything a coffee shop should be and more, I've been to so many coffee shops around the Atlanta area and by far this is the best. The Fries are the "Best I've Ever Had" ! Cooked in fresh oil, lightly seasoned, piping hot, and served in a heated iron pot (too keep them hot) . The Cheese Steak was better than great ! Came in after having my hair colored and cut just down the street... Looked like a fun vibe. Keep in mind, I showed up at 830 on a Thursday night. I'm certain they're usually busier. The kitchen was closed, but we'd already eaten earlier, so that was perfect. So, food not tasted yet, but I suspect we'll be back to try that again! Tonight, I sip on my Martini, listen to smooth jazz by the live musician in potentially the smallest stage ever, but he rotates between flute and sax and fantastic at both! I ran to the restroom and it was spotless. Actually the whole place is immaculate. As I was chatting with the manager, they shared an upcoming bourbon, cigars, and Jazz tasting event coming up on June 29th (2023 for those who see this later)... This is not the ideal place for kiddos or doggos, but an awesome place for a first date, or anyone looking to just chill and soak up the jazz vibes. My son got the best Americana coffee. They have flavors and full coffee bar options, but my son is 'the 'keep it dark and strong' type, so we didn't experiment... and I wasn't about to choose coffee over these great drinks! Im hesitant to write this cause I love how it's one of the few not-crowded locations on Canton, but ya gotta support the black owned local businesses! Absolutely new fav brunch spot in Historic Roswell/Canton st area. Nothing overly pretentious like $25 lobster omelets or something, like most places on Canton. To me, a TRULY good dining spot can have classic items without adding too much razzle dazzle to it, and still is phenomenal. Which is harder--and the Vick does that. The chicken & waffles served with local honey were wonderful, without unnecessary additions. Great Espresso drinks & mimosas (hoping to try the flight this weekend!), and the Energizer breakfast sandwich was **chefs kiss**. Love the chill environment and outdoor area with couches! This was a cute little hidden gem that I found when I was attending the Roswell Walk Festival. Friend and I stopped in here before the festival started to have brunch. The inside was really cute I like the vibe of the restaurant. Small quaint cozy and stylish. The staff was really nice. They greet you as you came in the door. You can sit wherever you want. Service was pretty quick. Let's get to the food. We got a Mimosa Phở Lights which was only $26. You got a full bottle of champagne and three juices out of five flavor choices to have. My friend and I chose the pineapple, mango and peach. The pineapple and the mango are both really good. We actually mix the two together with the champagne. The peach was my least favorite. Even mixing it with the mango just did not hit the same as the pineapple and mango. So if nothing else go to get the Mimosa flight! The food was good. My friend got the traditional breakfast. She chose bacon and raisin tells she got her ass scrambled and potatoes. The portion size was a nice amount. I know most places give you two scrambled eggs but it really looked like it was a lot more than just two eggs scrambled on her plate. She didn't even eat all of them. And she got three strips of bacon she chose turkey bacon. And I did a custom omelette. I basically chose all the toppings that she could get except for tomatoes and mushrooms. I enjoyed my omelette it had a really good taste to it and it was nice and full. The crispy potatoes were also really good. The only thing I hate is that the little portion size is small because I ate those potatoes quicker than I thought. This is just a cute little place to go to have brunch with a friend if you're not looking to be around a really big crowd. I would definitely go back! and the prices are reasonable. read more

My husband and I had such a great time yesterday when we ventured out for brunch. We usually go to Gracious Plenty, but we decided to check out The Vick instead. Folks.... you gotta try this place! The owner, KADIJAH VICKERS, was amazing! She was our bartender and made us some delicious cocktails including a gin cucumber martini I requested that wasn't even on the menu. Jamie had the lamb chops and eggs, and I had a delicious Monte Cristo. They're open for Breakfast, Lunch (brunch on weekends) and dinner, Wednesday-Sunday. They have live music most nights as well. This was our first time going to The Vick and it did not disappoint. When we walked in we liked that they had live entertainment. We really enjoyed hearing Jason play. If you haven't heard him before he's a must see. When we sat down Kadijah and Smokie made us feel right at home. Everything sounded so good on the menu that we couldn't decide what we wanted to try first. When it can time to order Smokie was very accommodating to us. She answered all of our questions and even gave us some great recommendations. We all finally decided to try the spinach and artichoke dip, the fried green tomato stack with pimento cheese on top, the firecracker shrimp, and the bourbon and coke wings. Not sure which one was my favorite. They were all delicious! For dinner my husband and I had the smash burger and the shrimp skewer with rice and sautéed spinach. They too were very good. As you enter, the focal point is an oversized wooden bar, offering plenty of choices for your high quality whiskey, bourbons, scotch's, vodkas & gins. Craft beer as well. Flat screens at the bar and on the walls. Rather unique bar atmosphere, that of a classy small cafe, modern ultimate destination for locals and visiting guests to enjoy a drink or two! Came in on a Sunday for brunch. Overall, the food was good. The chicken was well seasoned, the potatoes were crispy, and the French toast was sweet. I also like that they do a $26 bottle of champagne with your choice of three juices for a build your own mimosa. Only reason I didn't go five stars is because it seemed like they were still trying to figure out the service component. We came in and were told it would only be a 5 minute wait for a table, but we waited for closer to 30 minutes. Then, when we were at the table, the waters were never refilled. I'd definitely be interested in coming back in the future when they've been open a little longer to check it out again. read more
