The experience was more than just a meal. The combination of flavors, service, and atmosphere made it truly special.

We had a mid afternoon lunch, walked in and we were the only people in the restaurant. We sat outside on the back patio and it was quite peaceful. The bartender was also our waiter, and he was friendly and attentive.. we had the soup of the day which was corn chowder, buffalo cauliflower, and the fig pizza. Soup was fantastic and I would encourage serving with crackers or a crouton next time. Buffalo cauliflower was a hit... Perfect amount of breading and the ranch was delicious. The fig pizza was meh. I feel like it was very flour-y, flavors good but dough lacking. Overall a nice peaceful experience. read more

This was pretty bad. Nothing had any nuance. The pimento bruschetta everyone raved about on Yelp was awful. No pimento flavor at all, just what tasted like a glob of cheddar cheese with a sprinkle of basil and a drizzle of balsamic. The spinach dip, one of my favorite dishes ever (and something that's hard to ruin), was somehow worse: a block of melted cheese with barely any spinach and a few stray artichokes. The only reason it's getting two stars is for the friendly service and cute ambiance. Even my margarita just tasted like straight liquor: no balance, no spice, nothing subtle. My friends' drinks were randomly full of edible glitter, which was cute I guess but couldn't save a bad drink. With so many great places in downtown Roswell, there's just no reason to come here. They did have a charming Halloween theme going, but sadly, it couldn't save the night. read more

Downtown Roswell never disappoints but this place is definitely a no. Went with a couple friends and ordered something food and a drink from the regular menu and a spooky themed drink. All were terrible. We stopped for just a couple apps but usually sets the tone to what to expect for a meal. I was contemplating ordering an entree but didn't trust that it would be seasoned or cooked well. Never been here before. Went for a date. The ambiance was super cute with flowers in a vase at the table and string lights above. The bang bang shrimp was really good. Unfortunately, the meal I got really missed the mark. I ordered the stuffed chicken. I cut into it and saw nothing but pink which made my stomach turn. I asked the waitress and was assured it was just prosciutto however mentally I couldn't stomach it. 5 stars for the ambiance and service but overall the food wasn't that great for the price. Waitress forgot to check on the steak and had to remind her. Second attempt the steak came back rare. Talked with owner. We were compted for that meal. Credit card was over charged. There are better choices on and off Canton street. Recommend that the owner purchase a meat thermometer and have the cook watch a YouTube video on cooking eggs. read more

What a gem! Can't believe we've never been here but we will certainly be back soon. The service was great (Kristi) and she even brought us a drink on the house as a preview to their upcoming holiday menu. We ordered the vanilla chai old fashioned (delicious) and then they brought the smores old fashioned for us to try (even better). For food we both had side Caesar salads to start. The salads were cold and crunchy and the dressing was the right amount of tang. For entrees, my husband got the pimento cheese burger which was delicious. Whatever sweet jam was on it made the burger. I ordered the special pork chop that was topped with a blueberry chutney type sauce and shallots. Served over loaded mashed potatoes and I swapped out the asparagus for brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious all around. We look forward to coming back soon. read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Parking was a little stressful; however, we were able to find parking for payment up and left of the restaurant. This is a small restaurant; however, we were able to make reservations through Open Table I believe. As we walked in, we were nearly greeted with a friendly smile And take him to a table immediately. It smelled so good inside this restaurant and all the servers were dressed differently, which I appreciate. It's not many places where you can get chorizo so I was extremely excited about that. I ordered the chorizo omelette with onions and peppers added and a side of fried potatoes. I also ordered one pancake. It was so good. I almost forgot to stop and take a picture. The omelette and potatoes were so good. The pancake was different. I was still good but it was sweeter than what I'm used to and the texture was different. I was still good it took three bites for me to get on board. My friend Tracy really enjoyed her avocado toast but she likes simple things so some of the ingredients she pushed off and did not eat. And the owners, managers and all staff worked together into a fine coordinating dance. They kep adjusting the heating elements for us. Today was our second visit to Canton St Social and it won't be the last. This is easily in my top 3 favorite Roswell spots. The interior space is small and intimate. Making a reservation ahead of your visit is probably a good idea. Service is excellent and so is the food. The first time we went, hubby and I shared the pimento bruschetta, which was mouthwateringly delicious, and a pizza. Since we couldn't decide on a pizza flavor, we each chose our toppings for our side and they were happy to accommodate us. Today, we had the pimento bruschetta again because it is too good to pass on. I ordered the social burger and my husband ordered the caprese panini. Once more, we had a great experience. Service was on point and everything we ordered hit the spot. If you haven't tried Canton St. Social yet, you are missing out! read more

I was excited to try this place seeing the review however it was an overall a tad bit disappointing. We got there at 11.30 and the sign said close. We saw a full restaurant and let them know that their sign was showing otherwise and nothing was mentioned. Then we asked them if the menu outside was what we could order from and were informed they forgot to switch the menu and that was a dinner menu. Overall food was a little underwhelming. Maybe if you're there for cocktails , the experience could be impreoved with some "beer goggles" however the French onion soup came out a little salty, mussels were bland and burger came out wrong with no bacon or cheese. Roswell was having an event where all their local restaurants serve up a set course in order for people to try out their menu. We went off the set menu and ordered the mussels for appetizers. The scallops and the piccata. They did not disappoint. Everything tasted delicious! I even got some of my favorite Russell brand (blue label 13 years bourbon). I was in the Atlanta area for work and Canton St Social was one of the highlights of my trip. I went in on a random Thursday night and was warmly welcomed by the staff. I sat at the bar and conversed with the bartender, I think Will was his name. He helped me make a decision about an entree and we discussed our mutual love for whiskey. I ended up ordering the cajun pasta and it was delicious! I opted for the crispy chicken and it was a perfect compliment to the dish. The breading was light and crunchy (it was even crunchy the next day when I ate leftovers!) and the sauce on the pasta was wonderful. I wish it had been a little more spicy though! I ordered the vanilla chai old fashioned which was unique and warming, great for a cold night! I was also excited to see they had a bourbon I've been wanting to try so of course I ordered it. AVOID AT ALL COST! The result was a celebration RUINED! We went to celebrate my wife's birthday here today. The bartender was on her game! She was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a brunch cocktail while we waited for the rest of our family. Once seated, EVERYTHING went to garbage. The temperature in the room was comfortable, however, there was a vent blowing STRONG cold wind on the table, so we asked if they could turn it down or off. This should have been our first indication that we chose the wrong restaurant! The FOH manager told us "this is a hundred year old restaurant so it's either on or off". We asked her to turn it off. We ordered appetizers, one of which was the bruschetta. When it arrived, the bread was BURNT BLACK! The EASIEST part of that dish to redo was the bread, but instead, they tried to hide it under the topping! We immediately returned it. We all ordered our meals and when they finally arrived, 35 minutes later, everything was luke warm or cold! Lukewarm potatoes and cold eggs. We returned EVERYTHING! The same FOH manager blamed the food on "we're training kitchen staff"! REALLY?!?!? Twenty minutes later we received our food. It was mediocre at best. Flavorless, sloppy, and assembled like it was someone's first day in a restaurant. Embarrassing. The chorizo tacos were AWFUL! Mushy, tortillas that had the texture of wet toilet paper, and NO noticeable seasoning. So, beyond the environment being uncomfortable, the kitchen, FOH, and BOH managers completely failing, the food was just "edible". We spend a combined $3000+ every month dining out. This was, without a doubt, the WORST dining experience we've have in the past three+ years! The wait staff and bar staff KILLED it, but they were handed a big ol' turd! Yes, they comped our $400 meal, but they also forever ruined what SHOULD have been a beautiful celebration! NEVER AGAIN! read more

My daughter has eaten here previously, but this was my first time at Canton Street Social. We came here on a Saturday because I wanted to order from their brunch menu. Our server Holly suggested the pimento bruschetta as a starter. It consisted of Grilled French Bread Topped with Pimento Cheese, Diced Tomatoes & Balsamic Drizzle. There was a very generous amount of pimento cheese, and it went very well with the balsamic drizzle. Our server also suggested many other menu items as well. I decided to order the Eggs Benedict from the brunch menu. It came with your choice of Pork Belly or Smoked Salmon, in lieu of the traditional Canadian Bacon. I selected the pork belly option. The Eggs Benedict looked picture perfect, and the pork belly option sounded good; however, it didn't taste like the traditional breakfast entrée I typically enjoy. The poached eggs were prepared perfectly, but I often prefer the yoke a little more runny. My daughter ordered one of the flatbreads. The server explained that one of the cooks had suddenly departed; therefore, the manager was not 100% certain if the flatbread would turn out all right. When they brought the flat bread to my daughter, the edges of the flat bread were well cooked, but the middle was too doughy. The manager offered to allow my daughter to order another entrée in place of the flatbread, and my daughter tried the California omelette from the brunch menu. We had decided to sit outside on the back patio in order to enjoy the spring time weather. While I realize this is May be out of the restaurants control, but our meal was, unfortunately interrupted by the noise made from multiple trucks trying to deliver products to the various restaurants in the area. I was always under the impression that restaurants would not allow deliveries during lunchtime hours, especially on weekends. Nevertheless, multiple trucks parked right behind the restaurant and started making deliveries and disrupting our peaceful patio experience. Overall, we had a good experience. Our server Holly was friendly, attentive, and she gave multiple good recommendations. The pimento bruschetta appetizer tasted very flavorful and was clearly the highlight of our meal. I wouldn't order the eggs, Benedict again, but I'll definitely come back to try the pimento cheese smash burger, short rib, sandwich, and tomato bisque soup. Cheers read more

I had brunch with a friend here since I had gift card I needed to use. Downtown Roswell is my stomping ground so I've eaten at most restaurants here but never Canton St. Social. The brunch was fine. Chicken was underwhelming and so was the short rib sandwich. The bang bang shrimp appetizer was actually the winner! And the cocktails were awesome. Very well mixed and strong! Went for a date night. I got the chicken piccata and it was outstanding. I like the addition of mushrooms and the thicker noodle. The sauce had lots of flavor and was the perfect consistency. Not too runny or too thick. The space is a little tight and kind of noisy. The server was friendly but did not tell us they had specials. Excellent spot for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is in downtown Roswell so parking is a premium; be prepared to pay $10. The restaurant is very small and intimate. Maybe only 12-15 tables total so a reservation is a must. The brunch menu is quite diverse. For starters you can build your own Bloody Mary or mimosa. There are shareable plates as well as traditional breakfast dishes. Build your own omlette or choose from one of their creations. I had the chicken and waffles which was delicious and a generous portion. Dessert isn't listed on the brunch menu but they do have a few offerings. The bread pudding was the best we had ever tasted. My group of eight was in search of a kid-friendly restaurant in downtown Roswell on a Saturday afternoon. I called Canton St. Social ahead to ask if 1) they could take our group and 2) if they have a children's menu. They said come on down. I was glad to see ample parking right in front of the restaurant. Easy breezy. When we arrived, there was only one other party dining, which was great for us since we have four children under the age of 13. After the other group left, I didn't see another customer for the rest of our meal, which made me sad because the food, the ambiance, and the service were all top notch! They're still new, so I hope they get more customers. I only saw one server the entire time and she did a fabulous job, especially with our party. I tried: Avocado toast $16 BYO mimosa (pineapple) $12 The avocado toast was very unique. It was topped with shrimp ceviche, a poached egg, lime cilantro crema and a side of fresh fruit. Loved the flavors, layers, and textures. My mimosa had the perfect juice and champagne ratio. My son ordered a big bowl of cheese grits with a side of bacon. The grits weren't on the menu, but they made it for him anyway. He loved it and ate every single bit of it. My husband ordered one of their specials, a massive burrito filled with chicken, rice, beans, and a bunch of other ingredients. My photo doesn't do it justice. New favorite place on Canton! Last night was the first time we've been to Social and it was amazing. It all looked good, so we ordered too much and regretted nothing. The grilled lemon shrimp appetizer was recommended by our server and was amazing. I usually like to change my order up every time, but that sauce was so good it's now officially a staple. Burger and Mahi Mahi were amazing and very flavorful. I didn't get pictures of the food because we devoured everything so quickly! Loved them both. And the drinks. The drinks!!!!! Even if we change it up and eat somewhere else on Canton, we'll always stop by here for the drink menu alone. Very unique cocktails - they even have a secret (and very strong!) speakeasy menu.
