I called a couple of days in advance for a Friday afternoon for my husband and I to get an anniversary pedicure. It was so refreshing to go to a salon where I could chat with the technicians and they were all so friendly. They took their time getting the pedi just right! I loved the attention to detail and no-rush feeling of relaxation and pampering. We brought our own champagne to celebrate our anniversary and the techs were great to make sure our glasses were never empty. And, right after my husband's pedi the tech took apart the bowl/jets to sanitize and clean. She said they do that after each appointment to maintain hygiene and cleanliness! As a long-time Revel 8 Salon and Spa customer, I've been hearing about the nail bar for so long that I was kind of afraid I'd have it too built up in my mind and might end up being disappointed. Not a chance. This place is amazing. I came here yesterday afternoon with a close friend. We had a wonderful time getting caught up while two lovely gals gave us fantastic manicures and pedicures. I love the downtown location, beautiful space, and big velvet pedi chairs. First of all, Main Street is so underrated and this building is beautiful. I parked in front of the salon easily and can't believe how much un- or under- tapped potential this street has. I was warmly welcomed, offered a drink, and the girls were ready for us at our scheduled appointment time. I can't really convey how beautiful this place is, I lack the appropriate vocabulary of all things velvet and plush, golden and soft, that's the perfect blend of original/old/weathered and new/pristine sparkly, so you'll just have to check it out for yourself. Much like Revel 8, this vibe feels urbane but not discotheque, upscale but never stuffy, nice but not too nice to be yourself. The chairs are on these awesome swivel bases so it's very easy to get in and out. Like, I'm 38 weeks pregnant and this was easier to get in and out of than a regular pedi chair because of the swivel base and the big platform with stairs. The mani pedi was wonderful and on par with what you'd pay anywhere else, which is pretty amazing considering most of the places I go are in strip malls on north May Ave. I can't say enough good things about this place, but maybe you can visit and write a review and do a better job than me. read more

This salon is such a vibe of relaxation and brightness. Went for my first gel manicure and Zaria was amazing. I have awful cuticles that are so dry and she did a lot of work to clean them up in addition to giving me advice on moisturizing and taking care of them. Zaria also has a one week guarantee against any chipping or peeling to come back in and have it fixed at no additional charge. This space would be perfect for a girls night out, birthday party or a bridal shower. The polish I got is a metallic red and so perfect for all of the holiday festivities I have going on. They charged me the full amount of $50 and would not help me. I would understand 1/2 of the amount, but 100%? WTF? I waited about 5 minutes until I was in the plush comfortable chair. The nail tech was so nice & very gentle. Never again. I tried this place b/c it's not too far from the capitol so convenient for a lunch time pedi. I book a same day appointment and head there on my lunch. I'm immediately seated. The chairs are super uncomfortable. The gal asks me to pick my gel polish. I pick a pink glitter color. The pedicure itself isn't even mediocre. No bomb leg massage. No rough spots removed from my feet. Never asked me about shape or if I'd like my toenails cut. She just jumps right in. Then she paints my toes. I notice when she takes the light off my toes it's white glitter. She says ugh do you want a base color. I say no, due to the fact that she stopped my pedicure several times to chat with other technicians about NOTHING, that I don't have time for her slowness to redo her crap work. It was a $55 pedicure and I left a tip for $8, which I very much regret. Unfortunately, you have to pay the technicians directly and they process it on their phone. Holy identity theft Batman. Overall, it's a hard pass. Parking costs money. Technicians are unprofessional and under skilled. I now have to go after work, in Norman, where I know they'll do it right, for a fraction of the cost and time. Find anywhere else, it'll be 100 times better. read more

I'm so happy I discovered this salon. It's in the Downtown area but has complimentary parking spots across the street (bonus points). It's very cute inside with velvet pedicure chairs, good music, and a lack of harsh fumes that come with the average nail salon. I visit Njeri every 2-3 weeks for a gel manicure. She's a cool, cool lady and willing to experiment with any shape/length/pattern/style idea I come up with. I've never had "Pinterest-worthy" nails until I began visiting Revel8. They look great. This isn't your typical nail salon. They appreciate reservations and don't rush you out the door. Your manicure is going to last longer and your nails are going to be healthier (they don't grind them down to remove gel). Don't let my review scare you. But, really... unfinished and cracked concrete floors, blank walls (no art), and plain white plastic furniture was a bit underwhelming. I had a previous girl who did my nails on a regular basis at a different salon, but she became lazy. Eventually, I decided I wanted to try another salon and get my acrylics removed. I can't remember the name of the girl who did my nails, but she did such a good job! I was expecting my nails to be very brittle after the removal, but they weren't because they were taken off carefully. When I get acrylics again this will be the place I'm going to. read more

I thought "no way are they going to take that long and why?" But oh my Lord, those were the best 3 hours I've ever spent. I felt like a complete princesses during the whole process and not to mention that it felt like a little oasis! And I can not, I mean I CAN NOT, rave how much I loved and appreciated Dusti who did my mani and pedi. I mean she's so unbelievably good at what she does and so humble at the same time. I loved the fact that she took her time and was very attentive to detail (which I've never experienced in my nail life). I never used to be the one to get mani and pedis on the regular but NOW I'M SO HOOKED! This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! I have had many mani/pedis and I have never had such an awful experience. Wish I could rate this 0 stars. AVOID this place like the plague!!! 1. I made an appointment for 4 girls to get gel manicures and a regular pedicure. This was for my sisters wedding. The appointment was made weeks in advance and they weren't staffed to accommodate 4 girls. One had to reschedule her appointment for later in the day. 2. We specified that we could not spend more than 1 hr. getting services done as we had other appointments. They did not accommodate. The visit took 1hr and 45min. 3. They did absolutely no callus removing on the bottoms of my feet. They were worse when I left then when I walked in. I also had an in grown toe nail that she continually put pressure on making the whole pedicure so painful. She also used the cuticle pusher aggressively with no solution to help soften the cuticles 4. The manicure was useless. She didn't soak my fingers at all. Once again was aggressive with the cuticle pusher. She also cut me with the cuticle trimmer and made me bleed. I saw no difference in my nails when finished. 5. The gel manicure was horrible. It chipped the same day, causing my nails to look like crap on the wedding day. I also lost all gel on 2 nails by day 3. This place is all about the frilly atmosphere and leaves you with an expensive bill for poor quality. read more

Keely did a super kick hiney manicure for a 9 year old friend ofine and then did mine. She suggested a matte black gel, and though skeptical, I must say this is hands down (no pun intended) the BEST manicure I have ever gotten. I'm used to manicures chipping within a day (even gel ones), and it's been a solid four days so far and it's not only going strong, but i have gotten more compliments than I can shake a stick at.
