Wagyu beef cooked table side on a hot stone - so good!

Reverie at the Park is an experience that will tantalize all your senses! The ambience hits you right when you walk in with intriguing smokey aromas. Our server Wesley was super accommodating - definitely order any cocktail he recommends! These guys specialize in a blind tasting menu. I believe it's about $45-$55 for a 7 course meal. We had some requests and dietary restrictions which were accommodated with ease. Literally, LOVED every single dish that came out!!! Some of the dishes I can remember were (some we ordered extra): - fire roasted shishito peppers - smoked beef tartare - katsuobushi salad - which is best described as a 'deconstructed' charred caesar salad - seared scallops - made in-house black garlic tagliatelle - gnocci - grilled octopus - miso cod - wagyu beef cooked table side on a hot stone The Chef Jef even came out follow up after our meal. Clearly very passionate, he told us all about how their ingredients are seasonal and locally sourced - some grown right in the neighbourhood! I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend trying the blind tasting menu. It's seriously such an amazing value for what you get, and you're literally taken on a culinary adventure! I can't wait to bring everyone I know here!

3.4/5 This place is nice has a seating area to lounge around with a few drinks in the front and dinning area with open kitchen in the back. It was surprisingly quiet and not too busy when we were there for dinner but probably gets busier later in the night. As a tapas type restaurant the dishes were good portions I really liked the seared brussel sprouts and was seasoned to perfection the following dishes were okay miso cod texture of cod was kind of chewy and after the Brussels it tasted a little bland. The short rib black garlic tagliatelle was very quite enjoyed the texture and flavors and portion was just right.

Came to Reverie for a birthday. Very eclectic decor and staff. Taxidermy animals in the window. Nice big open space. Lots of room between tables so you don't feel cramped. Wonderful cool ambiance, low lighting with great sound track playing. Staff are all great and super attentive Cool cocktail list. Started with the Wood of the Bar. Jar filled with cedar woodsmoke, drink and ice in separate containers. Open the jar, pour in the drink, add ice. Very nice, subtle wood flavours mixed with the drink. Very nice. Second one was Cartier's Discourse, tequila with cinnamon, chilli, lemon, Lillet Blanc and Effervescence. Wow, another amazing drink. Started food with the Zuchini Radish Salad. Beautiful light and fresh. Great starter. Followed by the Gnocchi Fritti, an interesting take on an amazing ld tradition and ending with the wonderfully prepared Venison. All the food was beautifully prepared and presented in a original and inventive way. Really liked this, not yet so well know, hidden gem. Go now before it is impossible to get a table, because its going to happen.

Interior is beautiful! Was really surprised it was empty.

Came on a Friday evening as a party of 3. The server recommended that we order ALL the sharing plates on the menu (there were 12 dishes total) as the portions were small. We were incredulous and ordered 4 dishes (chicken risotto with figs, duck with polenta peach and greens, salmon patty, and gnocchi). The dishes were good but not amazing, although the plating was beautiful. They are all very small serving sizes and meant to be shared. The menu also changes frequently, so don't try to plan ahead what you want to order! I felt the prices were high for the portion size. We didn't order anything else and went to la carnita after to get chips and guacamole. Service and ambiance were great. This place would be amazing for a date! I would definitely come back with a date to try their cool list of cocktails.

Love the ambience and the drinks. My favorite bar and restaurant in Kensington. Perfect for a date.

I'm finally getting around to posting my review of Reverie after being lucky enough to hit this place twice in the past couple of months. It's a memorable and delicious experience unlike anything I've had to date in Toronto. The cocktails are a big highlight. Inventive and I seriously can't get enough of the Young Gypsy with its sage smudging aka burning off the side of the glass in a very intoxicating way. The food is really good - we did a bunch of shared plates both visits and we were blown away. The smoked beef tartare, the scallops and the gnocchi were standouts at our visit. But keep in mind the diverse menu is seasonal and changes frequently. But you won't be disappointed - there is a lot to choose from and everything we tried exceeded our expectations. We will be back!!!

We had an amazing dining experience. This is the type of place you walk in sit down and trust the chef and bartender to make your food and drinks. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a truly unique dining experience.

Impeccable. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive without being overbearing. I felt welcomed from the second I walked through the door. I ordered the Avocado Salmon Toast paired with the beautifully pink and perfectly named Pink Flamingo drink. My friend went for the Sweet Berry Waffle and a classic lemonade. Let me just say--the flavors did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh, creamy avocado was piled high, and the toppings were thoughtfully layered. My only tiny critique (and I say this with love): the toast itself was a little too crispy for my liking. It made the dish a bit tricky to cut into, and the texture leaned dry. Next time, I'll definitely ask for it untoasted or lightly toasted. A softer base would really let those flavors shine without the crunch competing. Now let's talk about that Pink Flamingo--WOW. It was tropical, sweet, and honestly gave me vacation-in-a-glass vibes. I almost ordered a second, but adulting (and budgeting) called me back to reality. That said, it's worth every sip! I snuck a few bites from my friend's Sweet Berry waffles, and yep--I'm getting that next time!! Light, fruity, tasty!! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Who knows, maybe next time I'll get to sample a few more dishes Seriously though--support local and give this place a try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Found this cocktail bar through a friend and immediately made a reservation after seeing the menu…read more The ingredients are complex but intentional, with East Asian influences. I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. Large windows line one wall with a view to the exterior, but are tinted enough that people walking by cannot see in. Service was great, although they do have a strict 1 hr 45 min time limit for seating, regardless of whether the bar is packed or not.

We walked up to an unassuming entrance that is part of the experience, and once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. The space is intimate and cozy with dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed speakeasy vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a couple of drinks. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. The menu is creative without being gimmicky, and the flavors are well integrated, with each drink offering something distinct. The staff were welcoming and happy to explain the menu or offer recommendations if you are unsure what to order. They guided us through the flavor profiles and offered thoughtful suggestions based on our preferences. Service felt attentive without being overbearing, and the overall pace made it a great place to relax rather than rush through a drink. The team checked in at the right moments and kept the experience feeling personal and unhurried. If you are looking for a cocktail bar that offers something different from the usual classics, After Seven delivers a memorable experience. Between the hidden entrance, intimate setting, and creative drinks, it is the kind of place that is easy to recommend whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for one of Toronto's more unique bars. The balance of atmosphere, craftsmanship, and service makes it a standout in the city's cocktail scene.
