They offer a variety of massages: deep tissue, reflexology, Thai, chair massage by the minute, etc. and have reasonable prices for them. I decided to treat myself to a two hour massage and was able to get a next-day appointment on their website. The massage studio itself is fairly bare bones: you won't find fluffy robes and sparkling water here. When you arrive they have you take off your shoes and give you house slippers. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The individual rooms are more like stalls in that the barriers between them don't go all the way to the ceiling, so that means you can hear things from other customers, but it's usually not that big of a deal as people tend to be quiet. They offer relaxing music but don't pay for the service so occasionally you have to hear an ad, but you'll be so blissed out from the massage you won't notice it. The massage therapists really know what they're doing. They'll start by kneeling on you (not as creepy as it sounds) and they will really dig into your knots. They're receptive to feedback if the pressure gets too intense or if there are areas you need avoided. You might not feel the effects of the massage right away, but after a good hot shower and a sleep you'll feel far more limber and in less pain. They also offer couples massages for any duo. When you check out they give you a Thai hard candy and a water bottle.

I visited The Now on my birthday for my first ever massage, which came as a gift. I arrived on time, but my massage was started late and then shortened by 15 minutes without anyone letting me know ahead of time. The service was booked as a 25 minute massage, with an added scalp massage as well. It ended up being about 10 minutes total for $100. My partner who booked the massage initially called to check in on the error, and was met with hostility and was told there was video surveillance of me arriving late and also a video of me being told the service was shortened. This is not true, and we obviously would not have called The Now for explanation if that had been the case. I work in customer service and was baffled by The Now's response and failure to take accountability. I later called to speak to management directly and was told a manager would call me back same day. I was never contacted again, and it has been over a week. Lincoln Square is full of so many amazing and independently owned businesses, and The Now has decreased the warmth of this lovely neighborhood with their corporate dishonesty. We have let our friends and neighbors know that this is the case with The Now, and will be pursuing privately owned massage businesses from here on out.

But my biggest complaints would be the care is not consistent in quality, the prices are a bit high/raise often and the accommodations aren't great. The waiting room is uncomfortable, public, & active. The steam room takes a long time to warm up and if you go in the morning you should just wish that goodbye. I've gotten some great massages here. Gotten one of 2 bad ones. And a bunch of fine. They also email ALOT but never with any sort of incentive to come back.

I have been super self-conscious about my skin (VERY bad acne in high school) which has left my skin very scarred and uneven. I usually just wear a LOT of makeup to cover it up and have tried a lot of different treatments that promise to help - soooo many chemical peels I shouldn't have any skin left (lol). A friend recommended Revive so I thought I would give them a try, and soooo glad I did. I met with the Dr (who took more time with me than my Dermatologist) and he thoroughly examined my skin. He recommended a couple options and was very sincere in letting me know it would take some time (all the other places promised miracles in one visit and I felt like they just wanted my money). He also gave me the option to think about it and do nothing at all. I decided to try their VIVACE treatment (I had tried at home microneedling, but really didn't see any difference). I am now on my third treatment and I can't believe the difference, even my boyfriend said my skin looks good (he never notices anything). The treatment is super easy and your skin feels a little warm after, but I went to a party the same night and received a ton of compliments (I did have a little makeup on, but far less than what I usually wear. Overall, it has been a huge confidence booster. I highly recommend Revive, the staff is super nice and caring.....I will definitely be back and want to try their other treatments. read more

I have struggled with rosacea/facial flushing most of my adult life, and often it has been a source of embarrassment which only worsened the condition. I was desperate (read: "face transplant desperate") to get better control over it. So over the past 10 years I have tried a host of treatments including various prescription and OTC topicals as well as IPL/BBL. Although those things helped, Jim recently introduced me to laser genesis in combination with IPL. And wow! Even after my first treatment I already feel there is improvement in my baseline redness. I am beyond thrilled with this amazing technology. The procedure is very tolerable causing only minimal discomfort- and if it is too unpleasant, just let Jim know as he can modify what he is doing to make sure you are comfortable. I'm really looking forward to completing a series to see the final results (about 5 treatments recommended to see maximal benefit). Although redness is my main focus, it has added benefit In addressing pore size, fine wrinkles, and overall texture (HUGE BONUS). the procedure is performed in the new section of Revive - which truly looks and feels amazing! Finally get to end my relationship with this company. Took a friend in to retrieve my gift certficates that they wouldn't send me. The girl was nice until she read the notes that the owner wrote about me. IMO, it's not fair he critized me for putting up a review but then can write mean things about me that changes the way the staff is toward me. I took a friend in with me becuase I felt uncomfortable and threatended going in by myself and the change in attitude was noticed more by the person with me, even though I didn't tell that person what had happened. Either way, they didn't give me the write gift certificates but at this point and with all the stress I was caused from the business, I am okay with a small loss. It's a true shame becuase the massage therapists here were great 90% of the time and I like to support small businesses but I don't support owners who don't stand behind what is told to customers or owners who don't have good customer service skills. read more

So often reviews are left for negative a service, so I thought because I had such an exceptional experience, I thought to leave this and follow up with a small note directly to the management/owners of the spa. I received a gift certificate from a friend who frequents this spa for massage. I used the GC to get a facial because I recently had hand surgery and thought this was more practical and easier for me. It was not your average facial! Not only did she ensure of my comfort with my bandaged hand, and offer me a foot massage rather than a hand/arm massage, but my skin was completely radiant when I left! My husband complimented me on my skin when I got home and didn't even know I had a facial! Though I don't live in the city, I am seriously coming back in another month to see Madeline. One of the best massages I've ever had! I came in with a sports-related injury and needed relief immediately to continue working at my job. My therapist, Abby, really listened to everything that I needed. She asked educated questions about how my range of motion was limited and explained to me what muscles could be causing the injury. During the massage, she was very attentive to how I was responding. She made sure that she was not causing any additional pain while managing to use enough pressure to get my extremely tight muscles surrounding the injury to release. In just a few sessions, she was able to transform my ankle from practically immobile to back to normal, so I was able to return to work and save my job. Revive is definitely my favorite place for all of my skincare needs! The staff is always so warm and welcoming. I always book my facials with Madeline. She is professional, so friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about skincare. She is always so helpful when I ask her a million questions about my skin. Every time I see her, it's like a mini escape! I leave feeling so refreshed, relaxed, and definitely glowing. I have always had an issue with keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms and have never found a product that worked for me. Madeline pointed me in the direction of the Lira body brightening cleanser and it has REALLY helped (it also smells amazing too)! Beautiful new space in Andersonville, so happy to have this spa just around the corner. Everything looked really good and the massage room was really relaxing in terms of decor, lighting, and music. I'm training for a 10K and came to see Jessica for some work on my neck and back as well as some specific attention on my knees and calf. I am new to massage and she took the time to find out what I was looking for and to talk me through what to expect. She was really great at explaining what each muscle was and why it was tight as she worked on them. She even went so far as to demonstrate some stretches to help me as I continue running. After four weeks of producing and setting up red carpet events for the Chicago International Film Festival, I was in much need of a deep tissue massage! I came into Joe for a facial and waxing appointment, he was amazing! Maybe the best facial I've ever had. The spa itself is beautifully designed and the whole staff was friendly. Went to Revive Massage Spa on Clark Street on Saturday. Parking is easy and plentiful. The facility is clean and quiet. Eloin Rodriguez gave a great massage as usual. He found tension issues I didn't even know I had and focused on them. He was concerned about my comfort the whole hour. I've had 2 visits here and both time I have enjoyed the service and staff. Complimentary water in the waiting room, text appointment reminders. The place is beautiful and peaceful and clean. Parking is always available on the street. I've tried the teeth whitening and Micro Dermabrasion, it is diamond tip and the latest technology. Both services were wonderful.
