It's been my 2nd time to get work done here and I can attest that it's consistent excellent work. I am asian and at the risk of sounding racist, asians cut asian hair best. I've tested that. I had a haircut before. I have straight, thin hair and he did it great with layers. Yesterday I was going to get just another haircut but he talked me into getting color as well. I needed it anyway so did that too. I'm happy with the result. I came in around 12nn, done by 1:30pm with color and haircut/trim. I think that is good time. I got the worst haircut I have ever had here!!! The long haired .... cut my hair in July. He had just finished a customer with 4 foot long hair. I was a walk in. He sat me down immediately after finishing her hair. He gave up 2/3 of the way through. I have chunks of my hair missing in places. Complete areas that weren't touched. If you catch the right angle you can see an entire area of my hair is shorter than everything around it. But, it is in a line, because, he made the mistake as he was giving me a fade. My head is completely unbalanced. I look foolish and have been wearing a hat for a month and a half. Waiting for my hair to grow out long enough to get it cut properly. He literally just stopped before he was done cutting my hair. I'm completely disgusted and pretty angry I have had to look like a fool for this long. I went in to get a perm today because I hate doing my hair. I asked for loose waves and showed several pictures. The lady was very nice and made me feel confident that she knew what I wanted and could make it happen. Not so much. Two hours later, my hair looks the same exact way that it normally does when I get out of the shower and don't style it: a frizzy, somewhat wavy mess. What a waste of $100. My styles are typically low maintenance, so a barber is my definite preferred go-to place. Luckily, I discovered this shop while looking for pho and have been coming back since. The real deal maker? $10 Men's cuts. Minimal wait. I've always had Ken do my hair. Every time that I've come, Ken immediately comes and takes care of me and my hair needs. He'll recommend what he thinks is best for my head shape and style needs, and I usually let him work his magic with the buzzer and scissors. If you're not Viet, there can be a slight language barrier, but we always do our best to try and communicate with each other. Peter did an amazing job! I showed him the pictures of what I want and he did the exact thing I wanted! It took about 3 and a half hours which is amazing for the condition my hair was in before. My hair had the ugliest shade of green/brown since I had blue hair about 6 months ago, on top of that, I did 2 box dyes on it as well to get it brown again. Over all, I went in with no high expectations of what the outcome was, and it turned out 100000 times better than what I expected. I'm just really amazed by what he did in such a short period of time with the terrible condition my hair was in. I got a color touch up for $40 which also came with a blow dry. It took about an hour and I got my bangs trimmed as well for free. They didnt put vaseline on my scalp area so I ended up with dark dye on the top of my forehead. read more

A good friend recommended me her aunt, Mimi that works at the beauty salon. I didn't know what to expect, since my thin hair was super damaged and had green stains from dyeing it green before. It was difficult to do my hair. She was very informative about what needed to be done and took really good care bleaching and toning my hair. And was able to get the stubborn green stains out of my hair! It exceeded my expectations. I never had blonde hair before so having a bright brown-blonde ombré was a great surprise. I have been doing my Japanese Straightening in this hair salon for a very long time with old management Van's. When Tony took over Mimi would always do my hair. When she left I didn't have her contact information, so I continued to go to Tony Beauty salon. My hair would eventually get done but it was long painstaking process of waiting. I would come there at 9am and leave salon by 6pm, mind you that know how long the process takes as I have been doing my hair for over a decade now. What I didn't appreciate is that they would take other customers in between my hair processing or straightening and have me wait or have another employee take over till they finished with other customer that came long after me for him to continue working on my hair. It made me not to be valued as their customer. Overall appearance and cleanliness of the salon deteriorated, with new management as owner does not dust and upkeep cleanliness, at least the times I was there. Hands down the cheapest Asian hair salon for a quality haircut. I made a reservation for a Saturday night at 7pm, an hour before closing. There were customers coming in and out, so I imagine that there is quite a bit of traffic here during peak hours. Mimi cut my long hair into my request for a short bob, after showing her three images I pulled from Google Images for reference. She got the picture right away, and was able to make a sound judgment of which hairstyle would best complement my facial structure of the three pictures that I showed her. We made easy-going conversation, and it came out to $20 before tip. I would highly recommend Mimi for cutting female hair.
