He answered all my questions and made recommendations that no other optometrist has ever suggested. He and his staff work as a seamless team, I felt so taken care of. Last fall my eyeglasses prescription changed to reflect some prismatic developments in both eyes. Because of this, my doctors at NY Vision Group (see my review at: yelp.com/biz/harry-r-koster-md-ny-vision-group-new-york-city) suggested I have my glasses made at Revolution Eyes, as the prismatic correction required was substantial, and many optometrists could not handle it. I have been living with these glasses for many months now, and they have been terrific since I picked them up. As I am nearsighted with differently rotating astigmatisms in each eye, I suppose that my prescription has now become rather complex, but I am delighted to report that my glasses have been outstanding, and I wear them without any eye-strain whatsoever. They are the kind of doctors that make me glad to have a Yelp account so I can help others by telling readers about these wonderful optometrists. I was in the market for Contact lenses and my insurance company's website advised RE accepted my plan. A quick Yelp search confirmed they were worth checking out, so I called and spoke to Sean. He confirmed they took my insurance and invited me to come in right away, or at my convenience. I came in later that day where Dr. Lee provided me a fair quote for materials based on my benefits, performed an eye exam, provided me with sample contacts to try in store and gave me samples to take home. I was on the fence about the blue contacts because I didn't think they looked pretty. I looked like Sharon Needles. Dr. Lee personally emailed me and invited me back to try other contacts at no cost. At one point, I met Dr. Sharma who is also incredibly amiable and professional. He helped me get the contacts I ultimately ordered and even recommended some places to go on my upcoming trip to New Orleans. Adorable. I highly recommend this place and I NEVER recommend doctors. I found Revolution Eyes to be knowledgeable, attentive and and accurate all around, from diagnosis to choice of frames. I recommend Dr. Lee and his staff highly. I am particularly light-sensitive, but Dr. Lee was able to work around that and still create accurate diagnostics and prescriptions. The two pairs of glasses I have bought are of high quality... I was looking for a spot to renew my prescription for glasses and fell upon this spot, and I'm so happy I did. With all the great reviews, I knew I had to check it out, so I made an appointment with Dr. Lee and came in on a Wednesday evening. The location is convenient, a quick walk from Brookfield Place and multiple subways. The store is smaller than it looks, but the service is top notch. I was greeted by a woman who handed me some forms to fill out and they checked out my insurance. After that, I was introduced to Dr. Lee who did my eye exam. After coming to him, I won't see anyone else. He was extremely nice, patient, and knowledgable. He explained every step of the exam what my prescription needs would be. I know he's an optometrist, but is it weird that I would trust him with my life? He's warm, caring, and knows his stuff. Dr. Lee is amazing. I've already referred coworkers and friends. The frames in the store are a bit pricey so I decided to get my script and shop around elsewhere for frames that I like. The script was conveniently sent to my email address the next morning which I thought was cool. All in all, love this place. I'll be coming back next year for my 2019 exam. read more

Dr. Lee gave me awesome recommendations - choices I would never look into on my own - and although I had to wait about a week to get them in (I wanted them in a specific color), when they arrived, I loved them! Went there for an eye exam a few weeks ago and recently returned to pick up the reading glasses I was told I needed. I've always dreaded places like this because there's always some hidden cost that you aren't aware of or they try sucking as much $ out of you and recommend the most expensive frames. Not here. Very transparent, they tell you what your insurance covers and break the cost of everything down for you, show you what's available for you- no sales pushing. Everyone that works there is friendly, (the doctor as well, he was fantastic) has a good sense of humor and they work efficiently. Very happy with this place! If you're told you need glasses, make sure to get measured before you leave. Otherwise you'll be back just for that! read more

A few weeks ago, I went to an optometrist for a new pair of glasses. They totally screwed up the measurements. As a result, it was asymmetrical and kept sliding off my head. I realized that I needed an adjustment, but I didn't want to cause some drama (which in retrospect was a mistake- I should've been assertive and ask for an adjustment). Today, I was leaving work when I happened to pass by this place. I went inside and asked if they do adjustments. This cute Asian girl behind the counter said yes. I then asked how much it costs. She said that they'd do it for free. I gave her my glasses. The process took 5 minutes. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. What a wonderful place. It doesn't seem as big as you may expect compared to other places, however, this place offers a lot of care and heart. Dr. Lee was absolutely fantastic at explaining my wife's eye health in detail. He did not rush as I sometimes expect from doctors. If i could give no stars I sure would! I made an appointment here because of the location and it looked super cute. The reviews were great too! Unfortunately it all went downhill from there. I made the appointment online and the call to confirm the date was a little off putting but I kept a good attitude! They needed to get my insurance info before they would confirm the appointment. I asked if i could call it back in shortly as I was headed into a meeting- Immediate NO- they needed to info then and there. No problem! I gave it over the phone and assumed we were good. Four days later I get a call at 5 o clock as I was driving home stating they couldn't find the insurance info in their system and they needed it now. I pulled over to give them the info again and they had a typo the first time but after holding for awhile she said she located it and again I thought we were good! Next day at 530 pm! I get another phone call from their office. To state that I would have a fee for my contact lens exam. As I always pay more for that I was like okay? That's fine. She went on to say was I prepared to pay the fee and went on for a bit more. At this point I was just turned off- I felt like I was being spoken down to and that they wanted to be sure I could afford to go here. Now here's the thing- who wouldn't go in wanting to do a special exam, order new contacts and glasses and not expect to pay??? I felt they were more concerned about money than customer service or even giving me a chance to get in the door and I cancelled the appointment. I have never ever dealt with such weird service and such a condescending manner. It was annoying and guess what- I would rather drive to my old eye dr and shell out those coins!!!! read more

Great experience at Revolution Eyes. I was in town and recently and had a weird feeling in my right eye. Dr. Sharma was available to help me out and clear up the anxiety I was feeling. He was the kind of doctor you want helping you out: patient, friendly, and relaxed! I was in and out of there really quickly. I don't live in NY so don't really know about prices but they were on par with where I live (in the South) so I assume they are priced well for NY! The best place for eye care in NYC, hands down. I have been coming here for 2 years now (since I moved to NYC) and cannot recommend them highly enough. Jeremy, Ash and John are all very helpful and excellent at picking out frames for you to try. Their frame selection has great variety. The exams are friendly, comfortable and thorough. They are also great at working with your insurance and FSA programs so you know what is covered/possible up front. Quick turn around on glasses and contacts both. They can take walk-ins, but appointments are best for exams. If you need glasses, contacts or just an annual exam, this is your place for great customer service on all levels. read more

I picked this place randomly because it was just a few blocks from my work. I was very happy with the patience and knowledge of Dr. Lee, who spent over a half hour examining and explaining my various eye issues. I paid extra for the Optomap service, which I felt was worth it because I am at high risk of macular degeneration. Dr. Lee showed me the retinal pictures of my eye, which I had never seen before. He allayed several concerns about the current state of my eyes, and did not try to upsell me on glasses, contacts, or even followup visits. A great and professional doctor. read more

I'm SO happy I found Revolution Eyes, they are the best! I'm an ex-patient of Associate Ophthalmologists at their Broadway location. I went to them last year and it was fine, but I waited over an hour (even though I had an appointment) inquired about contacts and the Dr. told me my vision wasn't that bad (even though I was always putting my glasses on), and it took about 3 weeks to get my new glasses. When I went this year, they told me they didn't accept my insure (day of appointment). Frustrated and annoyed I went onto Yelp and found Revolution Eyes. I called them right away and they were able to get me in that day! I saw Dr. Lee and he is absolutely amazing. He was respectful, caring and knowledgeable about my needs. I explained I wear glasses, almost all the time because I can't see very far, when it gets blurry, and I was curious his thoughts on contacts. He went through EVERYTHING with me from start to finish. He also told me that I had a mild case of astigmatism, which is also in my current prescription that my previous doctor didn't even mention!! He explained what that meant, told me about contacts and glasses and we decided that I would test out daily contacts for 5 days to see how I felt. He took the time to teach me how to put them in my eyes and take them out. How to properly care for them and the symptoms I may experience as my eyes adjusted. I went in the following week to confirm my prescription and order my contacts. I am SO THANKFUL that AO no longer look my insurance because Dr. Lee and his staff is amazing and I highly recommend them to any and everyone in the area (or NY!). read more

They did fine work. I had an eye exam and had two frames that I brought with me fitted with lenses. It took them 48 hours to get the frames back. They give a hard sell on the anti-reflective coating. Other than that, they do fine work. They met a price for lenses I got from Cohen's. read more
