They did the whole service but recommended I change the front tire as well because although it had tread it was what I would say scalloped. This place is charming and provides great service. I checked out Scuderia West, SF Scooter Centre, and called a couple of places in the East Bay before I bought my 2009 Genuine Buddy 150 Pamplona ("Pepe") here. Logan helped me with my purchase and has been great with all follow-up work. I'll probably take it to SF Scooter Centre for service, but I think it speaks volumes that even though I live and use my scooter in the city, I bought it from these folks. I can't say enough good things about Pete and Revolution Moto. So this is gonna be a wordy review. Earlier this year, I realized I was tired of my old scooter and wanted to upgrade to a Vespa. I found a used one I liked on craiglist and phoned about it but when I phoned, Pete told me that it had literally just sold. I liked that he was upfront about it (rather than saying nothing just to get me to come in) so on a Sunday afternoon I made the trip up to Santa Rosa to see what selection they have. Since I am way too chicken to drive a scooter on the freeway, I asked about delivery and was told that it was an option. The shop is small but nicely stocked, very clean bathroom and there are two quiet dogs who slept almost the whole time I was there. I test drove a Vespa, found a scooter I liked, got set up with financing and picked up a new pair of gloves all within about 90 minutes. Pete threw in a VERY nice helmet ($$$) and a matching top case for the scoot. Plus, delivery to San Francisco was included as it was a new bike!!! When the scooter was delivered, Pete picked up my old scooter and took it back to Santa Rosa to sell it for me. I thought the sales commission was more than fair, considering I wouldn't have to deal with any flaky potential purchasers on my own. It sold fairly quickly and I was happy with the price. And when it came time for my first oil change, I got lucky enough that Pete was delivering some scooters to the area and he picked it up, did the service and returned it to me! In every dealing I have had with Pete, he has been helpful, kind and very enthusiastic. He is extremely knowledgeable about scooters. In every interaction, he made things easy for me, which I very much appreciate. Pete at Revolution Moto is the greatest. I took my Piaggio MP3 there to sell on consignment. No more Craigslist for selling bikes for me. Too many flakes. Pete has a great setup for sales and service. I have now used both. His terms for consignment are very fair, and not stress inducing. It took a while to sell, because it is a 3 wheeled scooter. I thought when the rains came we missed our window to sell. Pete disagreed, and said with the 3 wheels it would make the market better. Sure enough just a couple of weeks later, he sold the bike. I REALLY want a Vespa. I have been searching and haven't found the right one. However, the vespas at Revolution Moto are exactly what I'm looking for. The only problem is I live VERY far away. So I reached out and heard back from Pete. He gave me some options of how I could get it back home. Unfortunately, through no fault of Pete, the cost to move a Vespa to my location is cost prohibitive. I still wanted to leave him a positive review though for his communication. He was quick with replies, even to my silly question of if I could fit it in the back of my Honda Element. When buying a used vehicle, be it a car or a scooter, you need to deal with someone you fee you can trust. From my interactions, I would completely trust Pete! I brought my scooter here too get an oil change and tune up. They changed the oil and spark plug, just got it back. It runs worse, and cost me $274. I returned it they then said, "Oh you need your carburetor cleaned out completely. We do that for $196. Did that, still doesn't run any better he says, "That's the best I can do for a 20-year-old Chinese scooter." SO ALMOST $500 LATER I HAVE A SCOOTER THAT RUNS WORSE THAN WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN!! Can't imagine ever giving Revolution Moto a bad review or anything fewer than 4 stars. I bought a Vespa from a dealer who wasn't very interested in me. It was all about the sale and add ons. Fast forward to buying another Vespa and the choice to go with the local guy (Revolution Moto) who's in it for the right reasons was the best thing I could've done. Prices were very fair if not outright great matching a local dealer for a 300 Super. Roy, Johnna and Neil are like family now. And the hang with them is great too, feels like the old days of hanging out at the record store. Thank God for brick & mortar stores who care! Not quit sure about the customer service. They didn't want to help, even after purchasing a Vespa from them. Seemed more like assholes to me. Thought I bought a BRAND NEW 2005 Vespa ET2, but it turned out to be a LEMON! Purchased in 2007. They guy kept on giving me excuses that I wasn't riding it enough???? I ride it 3-4 times a week, until it started making loud noises and the engine started shaking only after a year! It must have been sitting at the dealer for some time. Should have known not to buy it if it has not been having an upkeep driving and sitting for quit some time at their store. Just poor customer service. They don't know how to treat and talk to a customer graciously. Tone of his voice was "buzz off" I can't help you, it's been a year..... I always garaged and babied it. I love my Vespa. The Good: :: they are a local business. help support local businesses that are awesome! :: johnna and roy were amazing with their assistance. we rented vespas for the whole day, and they were completely friendly, helpful, engaging, and cool. they gave us tips on where to take the scooter so that we could avoid the gross highways as much as possible to get where we needed to go. the routes they recommended were amazing (minus the one patch where it was super windy in petaluma!!! never doing that again!) :: vespas were in amazing condition. my lx150 only had i believe about 500 miles on it? it started like a dream and was extremely well-kept and responsive. my boyfriend's vespa was the bigger gt250 and was also in excellent condition and came with an awesome locking, retro-looking, and roomy storage piece on the luggage rack. VERY useful when in wine country b/c we threw a LOT of stuff into that sucker: bottles of wine, snacks, gifts, etc. :: the store itself has a lot of neat stuff for sale, from corazzo scooter jackets to nolan glitter helmets to parts for your scooter to scooters for sale. anything and everything, they are pretty well-stocked. The Bad: :: none The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Is water wet??? I am using them every time I make my way to Wine Country. It makes the experience of visiting wine country even more amazing than it already is. I don't usually write reviews, however, the fine folks of Revolution Moto deserve a good one. I bought a very nice, low miles, Lil' Buddy 125. The price was fair and the service has been excellent. They have been very helpful even though I have had a lot of pesky questions. They have been very generous with their time. A fuse on my bike blew out and instead of telling me how to fix it or simply replacing the fuse, they replaced the original fuse box with a newer, upgraded version and did not charge me a dime. I can't say I have ever experienced such good customer service anywhere, ever. They even referred me to a great online forum for my specific brand of scooter where I learned a lot. I will be returning to Revolution Moto for all my scooter service and repair needs in the future. I forgot to mention another great thing that they did for me. I told them that the bike would eat up all of my money, and some borrowed. So, instead of allowing me to ride off without protection, they gave me a very nice helmet and a scooter cover completely free of charge. Between the two it must have retailed at over $200 in gifts they provided to keep me safe on the road. read more

I purchased my 2018 Piaggio Liberty S 150 on Saturday from Roy. I am new to the two wheeling stuff, but the minute I test drove this scooter I knew it had to be mine. I did my due diligence and called around and considered a used scooter but this ended up being the option that worked for me. I have bought many a vehicle in my life so I set aside a full day to deal with this transaction. BUT that was not to be, as much as I loved hanging out at the cool shop and talking with Roy and his dog, he had my paperwork done swiftly with no crazy sales crap. This is the best! Great scooters, fantastic tour of wine country, and the friendliest staff ever! We went on the tour, beautiful roads, interesting stops, delicious food and the best wine. But, we are also scooter people, so we had a blast hanging out at the shop talking scooters. They have a eclectic mix of items and gear to compliment the scooters. A true boutique! Generally, the purchase of anything with an engine is a deluxe pain in the ass. Well, maybe not a lawn mower... BUT Rev Moto is fabulous. They made the purchase of our 2 Buddy scooters a breeze and a pleasure. We had been to the shop a few times as we made our decisions, and also called them with questions. What a great thing to find someone who loves scooters and also sells them. We asked all the questions we had (there were many) and we were never treated like we were bothersome. Not once, not ever. Did not buy a moped but walked in asking for advice about transporting one and was provided excellent and friendly service, good information and a rental of a Versa Hauler which we used to drive my son's moped to UCSC. Pete rented us the hauler, ramp, locks and cables - basically everything we needed to get the moped safely and easily to Santa Cruz for a great price. The biggest problem: Poor Customer Service. They need to learn what that means, especially as they claim they have "...doing this for over 10 years." They don't act like they have the customer at heart. Example: We brought a scooter we purchased from them in for service. Wife wanted seat adjusted after they kept selling her on how easy and helpful it would be. Comments like "it will make the ride much better" were offered, but when we had the seat adjusted, it didn't do anything other than make the ride worse. She expressed this to them at the time of pick up and was told by the service guy "I didn't do it" and by one of the owners "There are other scooters which might work better because they have lower seats". This was not a fix. After a post here on Yelp, they called us and stated they would make it right. When we called back after deciding which course to take, I endured him telling me how I was contradicting myself when I stated how the seat didn't improve for my wife and was worse for me, and him constantly telling me how wrong I was. It took my wife calling back and speaking them to get them to replace the seat; BUT, only after the following demands were meet: 1. I had to remove a previous 1 star review on Yelp and Google. 2. They said I was "banned" from their store and could never return. This was like being held hostage! Seriously? Why are you still in business after treating customers like this, and from several of the reviews I'm not the only one. The only reason I went from 1 to 2 stars is because they did replace the seat, but I would caution anyone about their very poor customer service. I'll be taking my Vespa elsewhere for future sevice. read more

I have been into Revolution Moto on four different occasions and have always found it to be a pleasant experience. This is a very small shop with only four staff. You might have to wait a few minutes to get some help, but when you get help--it is 100% attention to you and to you only. The staff at RM is very helpful and willing to please. The prices might be a little higher than SF, but the way I was treated by the RM staff makes me want to pay a little more and be a customer of theirs. I have not yet purchased a scooter, but I will most likely be purchasing a brand new 2008 Pamplona 150 cc buddy scooter. Another great thing about RM is that they have the hottest female staff around. A blonde and a red head that will take your breath away. Even if your not into scooters, but you love beautiful women, its worth stopping in to take a look at the ladies behind the counter. This shop is the best scooter shop around hands down. Don't believe all the other haters on Yelp. I live in Santa Rosa and will always due business with RM scooters. read more

We bought a Vespa from Revolution Moto and it was a good experience. We love the scooter and the sales staff was great. A cool place too. However, dealing with service on the Vespa was quite another thing. The owner will promise you the world when you have a maintenance problem, but then does not deliver. When we complained we were told we did not "respect" her and she refused to provide service until we apologized for "not respecting" her. It was pretty clear they see (and treat) their service customers as hostages since there are no other Vespa dealers in the North Bay. We found a great Vespa service facility in Oakland and were absolutely delighted. Bottom line, unless you like being treated as a hostage to Revolution Moto, go somewhere (anywhere) else to purchase or service your Vespa -- where they treat you like a real customer! read more
