Arai and Alpinestars, ready to ride my new bike!
    Kevin L.

Spoke to Nathan on the phone about an online order of gear that was too small. He was very nice and said no problem at all just come in and see us. Brought it to exchange and got great advice and excellent customer service. Nathan knows well on all the brands that Cycle Gear carries, awesome friendly guy. Will definitely come in and see him again for more gear instead of just ordering online. Exchanged for a full leather Alpinestars jacket 3x bigger than my blazer size of 40, got a 46, these run small wow and X large Arai helmet, I was totally off when ordering online. Good to come in and get fitted. Nathan recommended a mirrored Arai V shield for more visibility and even took the time to install it. Danny helped at the end as well and packed up the helmet and made it shine. Attention to detail. Great guys would recommend anyone looking for new gear to go see them for expert advice and get fitted.

My go-to motorcycle shop to mount motorcycle tires. They are pretty quick, about a day, even though the sign says 24-48 hours. They probably got tired of idiots asking for their tires mounted NOW! I prefer using ceramic beads to balance my tires. It's the latest and greatest technology to balance tires. No more ugly wheel weights sticking to my rims! They're an eyesore and pain to clean off. Plus, it's better for the environment as there are no more lost lead weights. But most motorcycle and car tire places refuse to add beads because they make money balancing tires with weights. Well, they could also make money adding beads, but they haven't figured that part out yet! Anyway, you get the beads on Amazon, Counteract, Kit B, Motorcycle. Cycle Pro doesn't add beads either, but they will mount and not balance the tire. Then you add your own beads. You just remove the valve stem. Clear the valve with toothpick. Add beads thru the valve stem using the bottle and tube supplied. Replace the valve stem with the ones from Counteract. Add air, and you are done. Once you have the kit, you can just buy the beads. It's 1 ounce beads in the front and 2 ounces beads in the rear. Using beads, my tires wear evenly, and the ride is smooth, even at high speeds of 100+. Did I say that?!! Oh well, here's what a rim looks like without any ugly wheel weights!!

Come here all the time. Great store and employees are very helpful. They also do a helmet trade in on certain brands.

Absolutely Worth the 2-Hour Drive - Best Dealership Experience Ever!…read more I had been hunting online for a Street Triple RS for what felt like forever. Everywhere I looked, sellers were asking new bike prices for bikes with sky-high mileage--totally unreasonable. Then I found Factory Powersports. I messaged Juan about a bike they had, and right from the start, everything felt different. Straightforward, honest, and helpful. I made the trip down from the Bay Area, cash in hand, and wrapped up the paperwork with Rebecca in just 30 minutes. No games. No pressure. Just fair pricing, knowledgeable staff, and a dealership that actually respects your time. This is exactly how every dealership should operate. Worth every mile of the drive--I'd do it again in a heartbeat

My partner has been looking to purchase quad for a new property she just purchased, so we came in to see what they carried. First off, the entrance to the parking lot is a little funky. They try to make it one way in and one way out. The parking lot entrance is actually around the corner on Carrillo St. (small side street) and the exit is on Cleveland Ave. (larger, main street). You would think the entrance would be on the larger street and exit on the smaller street, but it's the opposite, so if you are driving on Cleveland Ave. towards College Ave. and miss Carrillo St., you will need to turn back around. As for the store itself, they have a good selection of motorcycles, power crafts, ATVs and accessories. The thing that this place is lacking is customer service which seems to be the theme when I read other reviews. When you walk in, no one greets you. There was an employee sitting at the desk doing some paperwork, looks up as we walk in, but there was no greeting. As we were browsing the inventory, no one came by help or ask if we had questions. When we walked out, again no acknowledgement that we may be potential customers. I'm sure if they had better customers service, their business would be much better.

It's enormous -- the kind of enormous where you half-expect to find a lost civilization in the camping section. And somehow they have everything. Outdoor gear, bike shop, rentals for basically any activity you've ever considered trying drunk at a party, lift ticket discounts... if it involves fresh air and mild suffering, they've got you covered. Now let's talk about the Basementeers membership, because it deserves its own paragraph. Twenty-five dollars. Once. For life. That's not a typo. For the price of a mediocre cocktail, you get 10% off forever, plus occasional 20% Friends & Family discounts. I've made worse financial decisions in the same afternoon. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and seemingly immune to the judgment you'd deserve for asking "what's the difference between hiking and walking." Basically: go. Join. Buy things. Touch grass -- they sell gear for that too.

I like the program because the items don't end up in the landfill and someone else can use a perfectly good item. I used to love trading in and the credit was 25 to 30%, then it went to 20% then it went to 10% and now 5% for street items. I do understand camping gear is more than 5%, not much more. I would really hate to see that section go under and not be used the way it was intended, when the program was created. I imagine fewer people are bringing items when they only receive 5% on street items. I brought a street item in, which was a very nice new woman's backpack, with the tags, for $65 not including tax. I received $3.25 trade-in, that's 5%. The down grade is very disappointing. The profits could be shared, the store credit ends up going back into the store. Good luck, maintaining this section due to policies. Please reevaluate before it's too late, check for decline.

After bringing my bike in for lost keys, a repair I was told over the phone would cost a few hundred dollars was suddenly inflated to a thousand-dollar charge for a new fob system. When I calmly questioned the owner, Phil, about cost-effective solutions, he dismissed my concerns, rolled his eyes, and walked away. During that first service, their installation of the new fob system compromised the bike's wiring, resulting in the security light staying on. To fix this, they installed a red light bulb that ultimately melted the housing of my custom smoked lights. When I returned to address the melted plastic, the manager initially admitted the damage was their fault, but then told me I had to pay for the part. After I declined to pay, he informed me that Phil had added a note to my file banning me from the dealership solely because he believed I had written a bad review. This level of retaliation and poor service is entirely unacceptable. I will be escalating this matter to Harley-Davidson corporate and the Better Business Bureau to ensure a thorough review of this partnership's practices.
