FYI there is plenty of parking. I enjoyed the Texan burger. Also shared the Philly cheesesteak with my friend. Both were fantastic. We weren't too impressed with the notzerella sticks. Some people seemed to like it, but if it's a choice between the burger or those, go for the burger. Another day we came back and got the shrymp tacos. SO GOOD!! They use some root in lieu of shrimp, and I feel like it hits the texture spot on! Just a heads up: the wait was a little long, but that seems to happen at a lot of these food trucks probably because they make the food on site. I'd definitely recommend this place to omnivores. This place is awesome. The chef saw me eye'ing his truck as I was making my rounds trying to decide which truck to get, so he made me 2 free tacos to convince me. I was warned the spicy salsa was very spicy and it indeed was quite spicy but deliciously flavorful as well. It paired perfectly with the seasoned jackfruit meets. Al pastor, carnitas, barbacoa, chorizo, spicy shrimp, and carne asada ALL VEGAN tacos offered at this place!! Plus vegan mozzarella sticks, mac n cheese, burgers, chick'n wrap, even vegan ice cream. Best Vegan Burger around... Well made, tastes super fresh & flavorful. I knew I wanted (vegan) Burger & Fries because I had a taste for it today. I looked up WHO was making it, and this place does. This was a bit of a drive from our hotel but I was pumped for it.  Online they advertise that they sell notarella sticks (vegan mozzarella sticks!)  We got their so late they were out of majority of their menu items.  I ended up ordering spicy shrimp tacos and curly fries.  I really liked both.  I will be back for those vegan mozzarella sticks!! read more

I am in no way shape or form a vegan so I will say that first off. But I am open minded and I was willing to try something different since I was in a new area. I tried the carne Asada taco and I was blown away by the amount of flavor and slight kick of heat that came with it. That little taco packed a punch and I was definitely impressed. Do you know difficult it is to find a dedicated vegan place south of the river? So difficult my friend. This is hands down, the BEST vegan place I've eaten. It's right smack in between my place and my gf's place so I think we found our new date spot. Seating is outdoors only, dog friendly, under trees for shade. Really nice atmosphere. The food y'all. I got the carne asada tacos....it was delicious! Like surprisingly amazing. Flavor and texture is spot on perfection. And the pickled red onions are the bomb.com. Just left from this spot and I had the best, LITERALLY THE BEST chicken wrap I've ever had in my entire existence. This is my second time here and I can't remember what I had the first time but if you're looking for a good starter meal to try get the buffalo chicken wrap, it will not disappoint! Also, the customer service was awesome! I ordered over the phone came to retrieve my food and the clerk noticed I had a veterans shirt on (I forgot) and gave me a discount. On top of that when I called I asked for a suggestion on a appetizer and he told me to get their must have cheese sticks which were just that, a must have -- they were BOMB. I went on a Friday afternoon in Spring and was pleasantly surprised to see RVK was in a food truck park. Although I am not vegan I am a pescatarian who enjoys vegan and vegetarian food. I ordered the Vaquero Burger and BBQ Chicken Sandwich. I thought the burger was spot on (loved the crunch of the onion rings) but the sandwich was just ok. It's very important for Vegan food to actually taste good, and this place does not impress on that part. Visually the food looks great, however they are lacking on service. Tried the krunch wrap supreme...unfortunately, I had a vegan crunch wrap in Houston, and I feel like they just copied the same idea, but it doesn't taste as good. Absolutely amazing food! The recipes are their own and creative. The "notzarella" sticks come with a tasty marinara. The fries they give with their food are among the tastiest I've had. The lemonade totally reminded me of what my mum would make for me as a kid, very refreshing. The staff had masks on all through when serving and making food. Nice folks and awesome food. Waited 20 mins with 4 people in front of me for a vegan burger. The burger was dry, and the gluten free bread fell apart. Most importantly everything was over priced. Spent $16+ on a burger and a sweet lemonade that tasted very mediocre like water with a splash of lemon. read more

Amazing vegan tacos! I tried all except the 'shrimp' tacos - which were unavailable. Every single taco was delicious. I was worried about them all tasting the same given most were made from jackfruit, however that wasn't the case at all. Every taco had a unique flavor profile. The salsas were delicious. They're also open till 8pm - which is nice. PS: they had some sort of super hot aoli/sauce, which was also incredibly delicious and extremely hot (I've got beads of sweat on my forehead just thinking about it) read more

They opened up around 12 and didn't seem to have anything prepped. Cook told me everything was cold and it'd be a while. Well, after ordering-- he wasn't wrong. The food came out cold (STILL even 20 minutes later). I got a bbq "chicken" burger. Let me just state that I am not vegan but was excited to try it. Other than the temperature being way off, it's bland. No better than cardboard. I took a couple of bites and ended up tossing it out. The staff was really rude. There was a lot of grease on the first bag they gave me to the point that it was probably going to rip with the weight. I asked for another and the girl acted like I stole her dog. Prices are moderate but not worth it in my opinion. This place let me know which is a shame because I went in with an open mind. Too many other good food trucks in Austin to waste your time here. The rest of the park seemed to have friendly staff and their customers seemed very satisfied. Lesson learned. read more

The Texan burger was delicious. This food truck just moved into the Thicket food park recently. My only complaint is that we have tried to go there 5 times now during what is supposed to be their normal business hours and they were closed. It was worth the wait though, if you see they're open you should definitely hit it up. I am really looking forward to trying more of the menu next time! *edited to add: Try the mac n cheese!!! I must agree with most of the previous reviewers, this place is great. To a new vegan I really wish I could cook this way! I had the shrimp tacos (made from konjak) - delicious! Looked, tasted, and had the same texture of shrimp. I'd def buy those again. I plan to work my way around the entire menu. My husband had the veggie burger and loved it. Plus the mac and cheese was great too. Service was friendly. This food truck is located in a place called The Thicket. It's a cool spot with other trucks - a mediterranian, a greek, a smoothie truck and a couple more. They have lots of plans for this spot - a community garden, live bands - already happening, movie nights. Something for everyone and kid & dog friendly. Lots of shade and byob too! read more

I tried revolution vegan kitchen today for the first time ever and I am VERY impressed. I ordered the tacos al pastor and am shocked that they were in fact vegan!! What a let down. I was a little disappointed to see most of the tacos were jackfruit based but I ordered a variety to test it out. Out of the carne asada, al pastor and the barbacoa tacos, the only one that was bearable was the al pastor. The spices and seasonings on the others were terrible and the jackfruit was super mushy. We also order fried pickles which were drenched in grease. The curly fries were definitely not fresh and were super dry. I didn't bother finishing and left, super disappointed. You're way better off going to Nissi Vegan Mexican for authentic and tasty tacos, not the hipster nightmare. read more

Love this food truck! It's not only great for vegans but also if you are transitioning to a vegan diet or even trying to add more plant based days into your life.
