This review is about my second visit to Revolution Vegan Kitchen, a vegan food truck I discovered a while back. On my first visit, I was exploring vegan options near me, and since this spot is about a 10-20 minute drive from home, I decided to give it a try. I ordered a vegan burger and really enjoyed it, which made me curious to come back and try more items from their menu. My second visit was for a late lunch after a long drive back from San Antonio. Unlike my first visit, which was on a weekend, this was a Friday afternoon. Parking was more difficult this time since the daycare lot next door was full. I eventually found a spot near the food trucks, but it's something to keep in mind depending on the day and time. It was a particularly hot day, and I had planned to grab my food to go and eat in the car while taking a call. There weren't many customers around, but I got in line right after a group that had placed a large order. It looked like there was only one person working in the truck, so the service was understandably slow. I was getting pretty hungry and a little impatient--especially as I overheard the group jokingly trying to get the worker to stop and come sit with them, even though he clearly had other orders to take care of. That felt a bit inconsiderate. After about a 20-minute wait, I finally got my order: a vegan crunchwrap with fries. I ate it in the car and thoroughly enjoyed it. The crunchwrap had a lot of soy crumbles, which was fine, but I think it could've used more sauce to balance it out and enhance the flavor. Overall, despite the wait and minor frustrations, I'll definitely keep coming back to Revolution Vegan Kitchen. Running a fully vegan food business--especially in Austin, where you'd think vegan spots would thrive--isn't easy, so I want to support them whenever I can. That said, I do hope service can be a little more efficient in the future.

Fast, affordable, and delicious vegan food! I'm always on the lookout for new vegan or vegetarian options and Austin has so many options. I'm glad I grabbed dinner here one night it did not disappoint. A lot of flavor, unique combos, I tried a few different things just to try them. The street tacos were so amazing and like a classic legitimate taco you'd find from a taco truck. Worth it!

As a fairly new vegan, I'm always excited to try new places around the city to see they are different. Takes on vegan cuisine. This is a food truck located a food truck park, which was very cool because I got to see a lot of different places that have lots of different food selections! Perfect place to visit with friends and family who have different food taste and come sit outside to enjoy a nice summer day. I appreciated the service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when it came to picking different options on the menu. I tried two different things the Vaquero burger and the buffalo chicken wrap both come with french fries which I always love. After ordering you give them their your phone number and they'll send you a text when your food is ready (it was a hot day so happy I could wait in the car). Overall, the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the buffalo wrap. I think the burger could've had a little more barbecue sauce to really bring out that barbecue flavor but overall really good place to try and I'm excited to come back again.

Super friendly. And I love that they use a text service to let you know when to pick up your food. It's too hot in Austin to be waiting around like that lol. I got the breakfast sausage taco add pickled onion. Let me tell you... WOW. It was so freaking good. The flavor was just amazing. I couldn't finish it. I had one bite left and I literally saved it for later. I couldn't waste it lol. My friend did get the burrito and I don't think he was as wild about his as I was mine.

So yummy! Super glad there is a fully vegan option at Thicket :) I got the taco, which were pretty yummy, but their burgers also looked super good!

The food here is really good. I got a phony cheese steak and a cheesecake. When I went, the food truck closed within about an hour of opening because they ran out of food so be aware that could happen!

Viva La RVK!!! My Gawt!! Take me back please! Absolutely destroyed it here! 100% fantastic outcome! Had: -Barbacoa -Big Mac -Fries -Philly Cheezesteak -Onion Rings Man O man! So glad to have finally had to opportunity to enjoy RVK, amazing food but even better people. Love the food truck and menu options; customer service was fantastic, food was fast and fresh. Thank you, Revolution, for being such a staple for the Vegan community!

TL;DR: There was a staple in my wrap and I almost ate it. So I was sitting there on my couch kind of enjoying my buffalo chicken wrap and watching the final episode of Utopia when I feel a bone crunch in my mouth. I think, puzzled, what kind of realistic vegan chicken are they using... I keep chewing and contemplate swallowing but the crunchy "bone" doesn't break. So I reach into my mouth and to my surprise it's not a bone at all. It's a staple.

Waited one hour and then they finally told us that they couldn't finish the meal due to a propane problem.

Very shady due to the large mature trees. There's plenty of picnic style bench seating to choose from. All in all, great Austin hangout!

I think some are open in the morning/afternoon and others in the afternoon/evening. I ordered an al pastor taco and chips with queso from CJ's tacos right before they closed at 7pm. The taco was good (a little greasy) but much better once you add the green sauce they serve with it on top. The queso was really tasty, like a better version of the tostitos queso. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. Overall a cool spot and a nice way to try a bunch of different food trucks and cuisines at once. Just check the hours for the food trucks you want to try before you go.
