    Carbonara
    Shirlyn Jung J.

This is one of several food trucks in a small park area. We ordered the carbonara pasta, spaghetti with clams, and bruschetta. One of the carbonaras was forgotten, so we had to wait for it. The presentation was nice, but the food itself was disappointing. The carbonara was extremely salty, and the spaghetti with clams wasn't cooked properly--the pasta was hard, not al dente. Overall, we left feeling very disappointed.

It was so good, I got it two days in a row. Al dente pasta that is cooked correctly and doesn't stick in your teeth! Amazing flavors that I've been missing since I've moved to Austin from Chicago!

The best comfort food! I checked this place out with a group friends and it was delicious. The owner of the food truck was so kind and offered a variety of dishes to try. I ordered the gnocchi with Gorgonzola and walnuts. It was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. My friends ordered the truffle mushroom and mushroom macaroni. I tried theirs and they were also amazing. We also tried a variety of desserts and they did not disappoint!

One of my favourite Italian for truck restaurants in Austin. They offer a variety of pasta choices and my favour and is definitely the penne - it is really creamy and full of flavour. We order the pistachio ricotta for the dessert - topping off with some cream and real pistachios, I love that it is not very sweet. We ordered the food to go into my surprise is still taste really good after a while. The only downside is it might take a while for the food to get ready, and we were waiting there for 30 minutes around dinner time. Additionally, the portion is not very big and I wish that they can over a size up option. I highly recommend trying it if you are in the area. They have an actual restaurant up north if you want to dine in.

I absolutely LOVED Artipasta. They have so many different noodle and sauce options it's endless. I recommend getting multiple dishes are sharing if you can. We ended up waiting over 45 min and it was very busy the night we went so I would recommend ordering ahead or being prepared for the wait. The atmosphere is very cute being surrounded by other food trucks as well.

Great food! Super cozy vibe and helpful staff. The portions were a little small (great for me, I don't eat a lot, but my partner was still hungry after) I got the tagliatelle shrimp and lemon it was very yummy! I've never tried tagliatelle better, the noodles were firmer than I expected. The sauces was spectacular, well balanced. My partner got a sausage and broccoli pasta dish which was also fantastic. We ended the night with a slice of tiramisu, I thought it would be overly sweet with the chocolate drizzle and chocolate chips but it was actually not. The extra chocolate was dark chocolate and I normally don't like chocolate chips like that but it liked this extra texture. Wish there wasn't a chocolate drizzle on it, however! That's just my personal preference I feel like it's perfect without it:) Food: 8.5/10 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 4/5

The pasta is always so good and fresh! I got the tagliatelle with house meat sauce and the macheroni with sausage and mushrooms. Both were creamy, saucy, and flavorful. Portion sizes are great! Just place your order at the window, grab a beeper, and have a seat until your order is ready. Throughout the day parking can be hard to find at the food truck park and when it's really busy, it's hard to find a place to sit and eat too, so usually I try to take everything to go!

The service was very friendly and I liked that they give you a little buzzer so you know when your food is ready. A littttttle pricey for a food truck but nonetheless the pastas were rich and tasty. I was nervous about the Gorgonzola sauce because sometimes I find it too strong of a flavor but it was a mild and pleasant flavor. There was live music playing at this food truck park which made waiting for the food even easier. I wish there area was a more well lit to make sitting there and eating a bit more enticing.

Artipasta sits in a family-friendly food truck park in the south of Austin. Love the ambiance, especially in the springtime when the weather is not too hot. We got gnocchi with tomato sauce and fusilli with house meat sauce. We made the mistake of ordering online to try and save time when we got there. The prices online are hiked by $2-3 for each dish you order on top of whatever convenience fee and tip is added. This isn't transparent and we didn't realize until we got to the food truck and noticed the prices were different. It ended up being around $40 for 2 dishes. Now, the gnocchi with tomato sauce was pretty good when we first got it, the sourness and acidity of the tomato sauce complemented the chewiness of the gnocchi and the cheese on top. The basil was amazing as well, probably the best part of the meal. However, besides the basil, it felt like I was eating carbs + sauce without any other substance, which felt somewhat underwhelming. The fusilli with meat sauce was okay at first; the meat sauce was savory but the pasta was bland. After letting the pasta soak in the meat sauce for a bit, the flavor improved greatly, bringing the overall dish from a 3/5 to a 4/5. Quantity-wise, I was hoping for more, especially considering the price, but the quality was decent (discounted a star due to lack of transparency in pricing). Overall, I would probably try the brick and mortar restaurant sometime to give Artipasta another shot.

The hamburger patty was overcooked and dry except for the very center. If the hamburger patty was cooked like the center throughout, it would have been perfectly cooked. The fries on the other hand were delicious. They were wedged cut fries and they were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and seasoned perfectly. They were the best part of the meal. The downside is it was a small portion of fries and they were very overpriced at $4. The ice tea was good. The hostess was welcoming and pleasant. Our waitress was polite and friendly. She asked if I was ready to order and I said i needed a little more time. I was looking over the menu to see if there was anything else I'd rather have than the $6 cheeseburger special. She didn't come back until after about 15 minutes. She took my order and when my order was ready she brought it out. She never came back to the table to see if I needed a refill or if I needed anything else. I had to flag her down to get my check. There are no markings on the outside of the building whatsoever indicative that Famous Dave's has any presence in the building. "If you don't know, then you don't know." 2. I got there when it opened at 1115am. The "host" had no clue what he was doing - didn't know how to access the FD system, whether any of the FD food was ready, or how to input my order into the computer. He had to "go ask the manager" 3 separate times what to do. Note: there was a question whether FD ribs were ready bc they normally aren't available until after 330pm. 3. I tried to order online for pickup, but the website said it was too early. But when Host finally figured out how to ring me up, both the pre-tax and post-tax prices more expensive than what i saw online. So, i tried placing the order online again, but it would not let me schedule a pickup time any earlier than 330pm - it was 1130am at the time. I asked what we should do. Host got the manager involved. Note: while Host retrieved the manager, i looked at the CARRINO'S menu, noticing it also has ribs listed as an option but without any connection to FD. When the manager finally arrived, I showed him the pre-tax prices were different. In his most condescending, incredulous, and indignant tone, he shouted "that's BEFORE TAX." So, I showed him the after tax difference - proving i was right and being honest. He exasperatedly acknowledged the difference. Then, acting as if he was doing me the greatest favor, said he would reduce the in-house charge to match the online charge to circumvent the need to order online. Good solution, garbage attitude. 4. Now suspicious, i began asking the Manager about the relationship between CARRION'S and FD. He had no idea how to answer basic questions and became visibly uncomfortable. 5. So, I canceled the whole order. The host was incompetent, the manager was unreasonably offensive, and i got the distinct impression some kind of under-the-table shenanigans are being played here. E.g. I wonder if they were going to give me their in-house ribs instead of the FD version. Is there even a difference? Neither the manager nor host could explain. Final thoughts: FD should pull their license agreement - assuming one even exists - and find a place/partner more suitable for high standards and quality service. I've been a fan of Famous Dave's for over a decade and it's one of my favorite places to go. I hate to see such a great company represented in such a substandard way. I wont be back to this location.
