This burger spot is essentially just a food truck, but the food is solid, and the service is great The food truck itself is nice and clean, and there's a big signage out front. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. 5/5 Stars - Hands-down the best meal of my trip!** I'm in town for a conference and have been eating out every single day--hotel breakfasts, chain spots, random takeout--and honestly, nothing has come close to what I had at Jimmy's Big Burger tonight. This was by far the best meal I've had all week. The cheeseburger was outstanding. The bun was perfect--soft, and held everything together without getting soggy. The meat had incredible flavor, juicy and well-seasoned, and the divine (I'm assuming that's the special sauce or topping?) absolutely blew me away--it took the whole thing to another level. The fries were exactly how I like them: thick-cut, tender, not overly crunchy or crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was spot-on. Service was excellent too--friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. Shoutout to the team for making a conference-weary traveler feel right at home. When I chose to eat here, I checked the reviews and there were way more positive reviews than negative, so I thought the odds were in my favor. The few negative reviews mentioned bland burgers, but the positive ones say these are the best burgers in town. THOUSAND ISLAND BURGER: I liked it at first because of the thousand island, but for the bites that didn't have it, I noticed that the patty didn't taste seasoned...like at all. They didn't answer the phone, my first impression was skeptical -- However when I arrived they were listening to some music and ignoring me; or I thought they were. The music was too loud maybe? Again skeptical, but I went with my gut and knew that this would probably be one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I ordered, very fairly priced! I did the Texas double cheeseburger minus the beef and switched it out with turkey meat, no bacon, side of fries and water. My company ordered this for lunch for 12 of our coworkers and it was so good! Ordering was super easy and was ready on time when I arrived. Everything was packaged nicely and was very hot even after my drive. The burgers are HUGE and SO good!!! We also got fries and chicken tenders and loved everything! The guys at the truck were very nice and I liked that there was a shaded area for sitting and eating. Well they moved down the way on South Congress. Their new location is 6201 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78745. I did report to Yelp so they can update the business address. Yelpers, I am telling you this food truck has the best burgers in the Austin area. They are phenomenal and delicious. You can opt for a double patty but I will tell you try the single patty first. The double patty is a lot. Now if you have a bottomless pit or tapeworm then go for the double patty. The staff here are cool as can be, you can go with just the hamburger or do the combo. They do offer a variety of other food such as wings. Parking at the new location isn't too bad, but they are sharing with other businesses. A bit tucked away, but we did a quick turnabout and found it snucked away by what looks like a "happy ending" massage parlor. There was one customer in front of us around 5:30 on a Wednesday. We chose the Avocado Burger for our son, but he said the avocados were no good yet offered the Guacamole Burger, which we declined. Instead, we went with the Bacon Cheeseburger for our son, and we chose the La Toriada combo, which for $6 more came with fries and a canned soda. It took about 10 minutes to receive our food. Jimmy knows how to make a burger. I tried the Chipotle and my boyfriend had the Hawaiian. They were both so good- huge juicy burgers. I ordered mine in part because I wanted mushrooms. I was super happy when we pulled into Jimmy's big burger to see an adorable little dining area and a little food truck. This is the hardest review I've ever written. I paused 2 days between eating and collecting my honest thoughts. I've been curious of this place for awhile in its old location. When they moved, closer to home I had to try. Got the mushroom burger. When it came out, the namesake of the place did not disappoint. The whole thing was pretty big. First bite I had a hard time getting the whole thing in my mouth, all bun. lol. The mushrooms were done very well. The actual burger. Meh. no seasoning, Meh. They have a good selection of burger choices, unfortunately they were out of the blue cheese I wanted but the Chiptole and Chili Cheese burgers were amazing. The fries were very good as well. I've been wanting to come here for a while but kept getting side tracked. It was right as they were opening so I was probably the first customer. His open light wasn't even on yet but he was ready to take my order. I got the Jimmy's Big Burger Combo and added bacon. It's a standard burger, fry and drink combo but that burger was anything but standard. It was huge. The beef was obviously real and not some compressed meat disk. It was loaded with veggies and the things that were not apart of a standard burger were the mushrooms and pickled jalapenos. Also, the onions were grilled so that definitely elevated everything. On top of all of that, the cheese was EVERYWHERE. It was done fresh and when I got it home it was still warm. On the way the smell was so great I was lucky to get pics. The burger was so juicy. All I can say is that you could tell everything was chopped and put together that day. It reminded me of the burgers from my childhood. Those awesome, juicy irreplaceable burgers your mom made that you didn't appreciate as a child because you wanted McDonald's but as an adult you're on a constant search for (because now we're all too busy and lazy to do it ourselves). The fries were really good too. They were chunky and seasoned really well. Not sure what the seasoning was but they stood up well to the wonderfully seasoned beef.
