I was surprised how long some of our cats took to turn into their chrysalis! These guys each got huge overnight. We did have two that didn't survive turning into a chrysalis and we had two that didn't make it out of their chrysalis. :( But it was so fun watching them grow in size daily, moly and while the chrysalis went quite as pretty as a monarch they were still beautiful. We definitely had a great experience, and everything was included in what we needed and the directions were pretty spot on and very helpful. Location caught me off guard and I wish there was a sign off the road because I do most felt like I was encroaching onto a property I wasn't meant to be on. But service was friendly. They guided me with such care--helping me choose the right butterflies for our location, explaining how to care for them upon arrival, and ensuring everything went smoothly. We received 88 individual release envelopes, a beautifully crafted box with 12 butterflies, and 12 small display boxes that allowed the children to see the butterflies moving inside. Watching the kids gently hold their boxes was precious. When our family opened the larger box, the sight of all the butterflies taking flight together was breathtaking. Some butterflies lingered on guests' hands, shoulders, and clothing, creating intimate, magical moments. Our family and friends were overwhelmed with joy. Many had never witnessed a butterfly release before, and they said it was a beautiful and meaningful way to honor our daughter. Every butterfly arrived safely and made the journey. I am deeply grateful to Riverbottom Butterflies for helping create such a heartfelt and memorable tribute.

It was a costly purchase and I just wanted to let others know in case they end up doing the same. If you like that color and are expecting it, everything else seemed to be ok. I was told you can check their facility prior to ensure the color is what you want.
