Their cocktails are strong and tasty with premium liquor. The 50 Cent Scoop features Branson cognac with a strawberry purée mixed with champagne. The Newsroom closes at 11 PM but the Lost in Paradise rooftop is located in the same hotel and is open until 4 AM if you want to continue the party.

The drinks were good, and most of the food was good as well, but I would skip the lamb chops--they were dry and lacked flavor. But I ordered a couple of drinks for the full experience. I got a cocktail with mezcal and pineapple syrup and an espresso martini because no other drinks really called to me. One great thing about Queens bars is that places are still inexpensive, so I'm not mad at only spending $17 on these drinks, but the creativity isn't matching the likes of Dutch Kills or 56709 up the avenue. It's totally serviceable and it seems others have a great time here, but I found the experience wholly forgettable.

They split the audience into three different groups and had three magicians that rotated from each group then finished up with a couple whole group magic tricks. It was fun to see different styles with different focused. I definitely would recommend this for the vibes and a good fun night. We are at uva next door beforehand since they only have chips for service on show nights.
