I had a raw silk dress that I thought was ruined. My husband spilled a drink all over it and it had a huge stain. We brought the dress into a competitor's dry cleaning and they gave it back with the same huge stain. I tried Rex's Cleaners and the woman said that they'd be able to make the dress look brand new. I had my doubts but they were right. They got the stain out and the dress looks brand new! They saved one of my favorite dresses. I'll only use Rex's Cleaners from now on. After 4 years, I am still upset about my Gucci dress. I can't live this one down. Rex is still worst in the dry-cleaning business. I don't think so. If I can give this place "no-stars" I would. I am surprised they are still in business. I brought in two dresses to have them dryclean. That's where I made my mistake. I should never bring my high-end fashion clothing to a cleaner that does not have 5-stars. They stained my Gucci dress. The white areas are no longer white. They must have cleaned it with other color garments so there was some bleeding. It was horrible. Sheer disaster. The second dress, a Roberto Cavalli dress still smells of armpit odor. Hmmmm. I don't think they cleaned that one. The old raggedy looking lady was very rude. She insisted that they changed out their filters etc instead of being apologetic and help me feel at ease that they would do something about it. I will be slapping them with a civil lawsuit. I told her that if they are unfamiliar with cleaning nice high-end clothing they should never have accepted my garments. I had another Cavalli dress I dropped off just yesterday, I immediately requested for it back, cleaned or uncleaned just so I know that the garment was no longer in their hands. I may face another disaster if they were to "try" to clean it. Not sure why the other yelpers are giving this place high reviews. This goes down in my black book as "never come" again. Whatever. Moving on. A definite no-no for high-end clothes Maybe for throw-aways and hand me downs? Thoroughly disappointed. I did, however find another cleaner who actually consoled me and said that he would do his best to rectify the matter. The people who run this shop are great at dry cleaning and just all around nice. They were my regular dry cleaner when I lived in this neighborhood. When I moved, I tried a dry cleaner closer to my new house. That second dry cleaner gave me back "cleaned" clothes that smelled strongly of mildew. After a second chance to fix the smell, I took the injured clothes to Rex. They were wonderful! Not only did they bring the clothes back to life, they took pity on me and didn't charge me. After 5 months of waiting for any sort of communication regarding the status of my wedding gown -- I am told that they cannot successfully clean my wedding gown. Why did it have to take so long for them to just inform a customer that they cannot do the job? They should know that the longer you wait around to get something cleaned, the tougher it would be for the stain to be successfully removed, especially for a wedding gown that costs a lot of money. When I brought my dress in last February, the owner said that it would be ready within 3 months. To be completely fair, he showed some concerns that the beading in the dress might melt. I decided to still go for it as the designer's asst. told me that the dress is dry-clean safe. Fast forward, 3 months later, I haven't gotten any phone calls from Rex Cleaners so I assumed that things are going OK, and that they are just a bit delayed. 3.5 months later, still no phone calls. I decided to give them a call and the lady who picked up said that "everything is fine", and "they just need to redo the train as there are still some stains, and they would just give me a call once the dress is ready." 5 months into the waiting period and starting to get very concerned , "I" call again and apparently, "everything is NOT okay." I was told that when they tried to clean it, they apparently had to stop as the beads were coming-off. When were they planning to call me and let me know? In 5, 6, 7++ months? Moreover, I could've had taken this gown somewhere else that would be able to clean it, and work around the bead issue, had they informed me as soon as possible, within the promised time-frame that they cannot do it. I really do not understand what they were waiting for. 1 star for not charging me for the attempted dry clean. I would not recommend this place. read more

I am so happy I found this place!! My sister told me about Rex Cleaners and said I had to try it, so I gave it a shot since I have been recently getting disappointed with my dry cleaning experiences. I brought them a good amount of items, including my winter coats that have some stains, which other dry cleaners were not able to get out - Rex Cleaners amazingly was able to get those stains out!! I've had nothing but outstanding customer service. Prices are decent and with all the dry cleaners out there these days, it's nice to finally come upon a family-run place that actually cares about their customers. So I've been going here a while and they've always been good but never 5 stars. But this week I went and took about 20 shirts to be laundered and Danielle advised for a few that I dry clean them to get the oils out of the collars. I'm Italian and well I have oily skin. Anyway I picked them up and they were great but 3 of them were still just okay. She caught them before I did and asked if she could keep them for a few days and when I picked them up today they were like new. 1 shirt was super expensive but I bought it about 15 years ago so if it didn't work out, I'd be okay with letting go. I have been bringing my clothes here for years. It's 12 miles away from where I live, but well worth the drive. There are cleaners closer to where I live that have ruined some of my clothes. UPDATE. Although I love Diamond Cleaners, the hours of operation at Rex are far more convenient. Rex also accepts credit/debit cards, which is a plus. I was very hesitant to return to Rex after leaving a negative review a few months ago. Hoping the employee I complained about wouldn't recognize me, I bit the bullet and decided to give Rex a second chance. Unfortunately she did recognize me (terribly embarrassing). Although she did not apologize for her actions during our previous encounter, she did explain what happened. She also went out of her way to acknowledge me and was very pleasant to deal with. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews on Yelp, nor do I enjoy having multiple negative experiences at the same place of business. I obviously agree with all the other five star reviews but I wanted to post my own because recently I was running late and if I didn't pick up my dry cleaning I would be without a suit for the next 5 days. I called Rex Cleaners and the owner picked up; I told him that I was running late and asked if he could please stay open 10 minutes late for me. Without hesitation he told me it would not be a problem. at 6:09 I came screeching up to the front door and the "Open" neon light was still on. I have been going here for almost 3 years. I have had nothing but great experiences and I have had a variety of issues. 1. I got my wedding dress preserved here - it was very well done and the price was comparable to what other places were asking. 2. I spilled red wine on a WHITE sweater (actually, my daughter pulled the table cloth off the table and the wine came with it...). I washed it multiple times and it was still there. I was pretty bummed because I had just bought this sweater and wasn't quite ready to part with it. I decided, on whim to see if they could fix it. The first thing he told me was that water sets wine - bummer! But he would try. I picked it up today, and it is as good as new!! 3. I dropped a candle tray with melted wax and the wax splattered all over some new white corderoy pants (as I am typing this I realize that I shouldn't buy anymore white clothing and I am accident prone). The wax was pink and he wasn't sure he would be able to get it out. But voila! Done and back to new status! I always feel welcomed by the people who work there and am more than pleased with the results. I have moved out of the Rose Garden area and into Cambrian and still continue to make the drive down to that part of town to enjoy this great service! read more

The store looked relatively dirty. Not a great location and horrible parking. This place is okay for dry cleaning-my clothes were clean but it was expensive. I would NOT give them my dress shirts I saw them pile all the shirts together in a truck to take them to be pressed elsewhere. Rex did a superb job cleaning my work shirts. I hate ironing my shirts so I just opt to have them lightly starched @ the dry cleaners. I recently moved to San Jose so I looked to Yelp and found Rex Cleaners. I went in and dropped off my 5 shirts on a Friday and said it was no rush so I picked them up on Wednesday. My husband has used Rex Cleaners on numerous occasions. What they get right is getting your clothes back to you quickly. However, on multiple occasions we have received clothes in worse condition than we left them. Sure, they're dry cleaned and pressed but they have new stains. I'm not quite sure what the issue is. Maybe they have too much business and can't take care of each individual piece with as much care as they should. Very disappointing. This last time, one of my husband's dress shirts came back with two burned looking stains on the collar and lower shirt. When I picked up this particular batch of clothing, the woman working at the front mentioned that there were some issues with stains. I asked, her if they were NEW stains? She paused and said no, stains from before. That was not true. We are done going to Rex Cleaners. read more

I wanted to like Rex Cleaners because the staff is nice. But I've been here twice in two weeks and both times my order was incorrect. They don't have an on-site seamstress which causes problems. The staff doesn't know how to pin, so you will not receive accurate tailoring services. Dry cleaning is also not conducted on site. Also, they do not have a dressing room to change clothes. You have to change in the office next to the microwave and there is no lock on the door. My husband's suit and shirt were nicely cleaned and pressed. But when he put his shirt on, several buttons fell off. I asked for a pair of my pants to be hemmed and the elastic, genie-style hem removed. The pants were hemmed "with the elastic." The person who took the order did not write down my directions. They didn't charge me for the mistake and sent them back to the seamstress. I had to pick them up 2 days later. I dropped off a second pair of pants to have the zipper replaced. When I dropped them off, the staffer who took the order said the seamstress was out of town and he didn't know when she would return. I called today and the pants zipper had been replaced. They charged me for both zipper replacement and cleaning, but I only asked for zipper replacement as the pants had already been cleaned. They removed the cleaning charge. The charge for zipper replacement was $20 which seemed high. Unfortunately, even though they are near my home, I will have to find another location for cleaning and tailoring. read more

But as far as I'm concerned, Rex Cleaners has great customer service, and they do their job well. I spilled bright red nail polish on my skirt and lucky for me it got right on the white part of the print. I tried everything to get it out, nothing worked. Before giving up I decided to take it to the dry cleaners. Well, lucky me indeed! The nail polish stain was removed and my skirt saved from the Goodwill donation box.
