Rex Cleaners is AMAZING! My wife and I have been taking our dry cleaning here for a few years now. The owner or his wife are almost always there and are incredibly nice and always willing to help. We recently had our best experience there a couple weeks ago. My dad passed away very unexpectedly and I needed my suit let out. We made his arrangements quickly so I needed the suit turned around really fast. The owner personally took the suit to his seamstress that night to get it adjusted. She did a perfect job and Rex Cleaners got me my suit in time for the funeral. I also love that they will starch my shirts very heavily which is hard to find someone who will do it right and with enough starch! After receiving a personal recommendation to try Rex Cleaners, I did. The first thing you will notice is that Rex Cleaners understands customer service. Turnaround times are predictable and always met. On my second visit, I was greeted by name! Dry cleaning work is of superior quality with proper and precise pressing. Shirt laundering is well above average and unlike the last dry cleaner I used, Rex Cleaners only removes stains, they do not introduce new stains. Very dissappointed with Rex's business ettique! I read great review about Rex on yelp and my first dry cleaning experience there was great - good service, reasonable price. Second visit - sent in 2 tops and 1 dress, tops have some food stains on the front ruffles and dress has sweat stain under arms. All designer pieces over $150 each. One of my top has few layers of ruffles. I sent it to another dry cleaner to clean up the food stains. The Other dry cleaner (also in San Jose)cleaned and HONESTLY pointed to me that they couldn't remove the stain completely. I paid and no complaint because the top still in good condition though few stains still there. With great confidence, I sent the top to Rex for second cleaning. When I collected it, there is a penny size HOLE on the top layer of ruffle! (It's too obvious that the fabric is ripped and ruined). The owner claimed that "It's not our fault, we did not do anything to the garment, it must be your sweat stains that eat up the silk top." and he kept rubbing other stains trying to show how easy it can be ripped. His arguement was kinda unreasonable. -there was some food stains but NOT sweat stains (how could sweat stain showed on the top layer but not the bottom layers that close to the body?? and who doesn't know that silk need to be treated gently and if one pull the fabric harshly, it will certainly ripped!? While I was calmly arguing with the owner, few customers came in. I told the owner I am not happy with his explaination but I will still pay for the other two garments. The owner suddenly soften his tone and said out loud " No, since you are not happy, I won't make you pay for the other pieces". At that moment, I don't feel right but I just took the 3 garments and left the store. has the story ended? NO... I went home and feeling very upset about the ruined top and thought maybe the owner did tried to accommodate by not charging me. However, when I checked on the other two pieces. OMG , the stains on the other pieces are Not being removed at all! I don't know if they tried or not but it was absolutely dishonest not to point out. Next time you want to clean up your clothes stains at Rex, be sure they can do a good and honest job! read more

Kevin went above and beyond when I realized a week before I was going to renew my vows that my dress had yellowed since the last time I looked at it. The dress didn't have its cleaning instructions so Kevin went through several steps to carefully assess how the dress could be cleaned. He kept me constantly up to date through phone calls and, the dress looked fantastic when he handed it back to me. Exemplary customer service and for a reasonable price. I struggled finding a good dry cleaner for years- one who didn't: shrink or fade my clothes; accidentally launder something that was supposed to be dry cleaned; or pleat my pants when I said "no pleat" - and then I found Rex! I won't take my clothes anywhere else. Kevin is the best :) read more

Super establishment! Kevin the proprietor is excellent and so far so good. I'm pretty much a once a month customer. I can never seem to make it more frequently. So each month I trundle in with month's worth of shirts and wool slacks. Turn around time is good and special needs are taken care of expertly. I had a wool sweater vest that became a buffet for the moths. The holes were economically and acceptably repaired, and it is back in service! Kevin has a collection of bicycling and car magazines in the waiting area, my fave magazine fodder. Fortunately I never have to wait long, but then again I don't get much of a chance to catch up on my reading. It's a trade off I'm willing to work with. Thanks! read more

I had some RED WINE stain on my blue silk dress. When I went to pick it up on the pick up date they said they tried to clean it but was not able to completely remove the stains and they're going to try again. Two days later I picked up the dress , they were able to completely remove the stains. Impressive! read more

I have and will continue to use REX, they are fast, and reliable, and do a great job. -1 star because they are a little pricy.

I hardly ever write Yelp reviews but I just wanted to point out how great the customer service here is. I had a skirt cleaned and am currently about a week late in picking it up (because I had more articles that I need to bring in later). I just received a call from Danielle who very kindly reminded me that my skirt was ready and happily informed me that the cleaning turned out very well. Wonderful dry cleaners! I had been looking for a new one & decided to go with Rex cleaners because of the good reviews on Yelp. I was going to wait awhile before I posted my review to gauge the level of service. Yesterday they cinched their 5 star review. I dropped off a pair of pants with 2 smalls tears & they returned them mended - free of charge. They said it was "included" in the dry cleaning cost. Such phenomenal service! They were also able to get some stains out of my son's jacket (that were caused by who-knows-what). Prices are comparable & lower in some cases. read more
