Upon sitting they served chips and salsa. I got the street tacos ($16) and ceviche ($13). Salsa tasted quite watered and didn't have much flavor. Food then came out in about 15mins. I got the street tacos with half steak and chicken. The chicken was quite dry and had a bit of seasoning. The steak slightly better, however also dry and lacked flavor. Went here for dinner. Service was not great. Food was even worse. No flavor. Way overpriced. 2 adults and a child $76. Would not recommend.

This place is under new management and food has gone downhill since we first started going there many years ago. My food was very bland and lacked any seasoning (I had the #3). We've always loved this place, but we got delivery last night that deserves a mention for something over-the-top. As always, the food was great even though they put lettuce on my taco when I asked them not to (it's a quirk I can't get them to stop doing). I always ask restaurants to make food extra spicy, and on the rare occasions they even bother trying...they don't understand spicy. This place does. They included some *really* good hot sauce that actually had a bite to it. No other restaurant has ever done this. I love them for it. They've always been very accommodating, whether we're in a hurry for take-out or being picky about our food (except lettuce). I really enjoy this place and I have for years. I've eaten in once and taken out once and both times I was truly delighted. Generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly service! I love their chips and salsa and will probably order extra on my next to go order. I've tried a variety of food items and not a single one disappointed. The street tacos were really good and the taquitos were exceptional as well. The dining room has gorgeous hand-made tables and comfy booths. It gets busy for dinner even during the week but if you go in during the slow times it's very peaceful. Looking forward to going back soon. The only problem will be deciding what to order! read more

Food, so-so, nothing to write home about. Service bad...our waitress was so unfriendly, looked mad and could have cared less. Appears you have to pay extra to get more chips, but hard to get wait staff to ask. Miserable wait staff. And really get some margarita glasses! Haven't been there in years. This is a small chain of 3 restaurants. This location is nothing fancy on the exterior, but there is some over the top heroic Aztec themed art inside. The service is efficient, and they do a good business. The portions are good an everything tastes authentic, although a little bland. We ordered draft beers and they were huge. Great food. Nice tables (when eating in). Some of their processes regarding pickups are badly designed. Good margherita and does have a bar. Not exactly late nights, though, this place closes early and isn't always open for lunch. I feel they have tremendous potential to revolutionize their bottom line with Doordash / Grubhub and extending their hours to other times of the day, but are too caught up in being what they are: a good version of Rey Azteca (better than the Monroeville one). I can't recommend any one thing but can say that there are the basics, tacos, chalupa, burrito, tamale, and most of their specials are all rolled up into combinations of the above. Best deal for dollar is "Special", anything at the $10-11 level is good and if you want to have a siesta you pick the $14 items. I personally avoid the shrimp. Summing up: FRESH GUAC FRESHLY MADE AND NICE BUT NOT HOT SALSA AUTHENTIC In the Tarentum area it's hard to find anything other than "American" and "Italian American", so this place is an OASIS DE MEXICANA! read more

I love their menu and food but there is something that causes me to have severe acid reflux so I can't eat there anymore.

A great Mexican spot in New Kensington. It's located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They have a pretty sizable drink menu and an even larger food menu. Love their salsa. I had the #19 combo which was great. Portions are good size and prices are very reasonable for what you get. Their fried ice cream was fine, not the typical fried ice cream I prefer but still very good. Overall, a great spot, worth checking out. read more

Bad call on my part. Was seated then waited and waited asked waitress to take our order she kept saying in a minute. Turns out she was not the waitress just serving drinks. Did not communicate with our waitress at all. Then when asking for salt for the bland watery salsa waitress just kept saying yes, never did get the salt. Two tables that sat down after us (different waiter) received thier dinners 10 minutes ahead of us. Did ya ever have a salt and sugar rim on your margarita. We did. Food was acceptable but not great, did not get the Verde sauce until we re-asked twice. Probably won't be back for a while until I become stupid and forget the experience we just had. I got food here once before and it was good. I just went there tonight...awful! my order was wrong! Chips with no salsa OR Queso. My quesadilla...boiled chicken and a DROP of cheese! The chicken literally had NO seasoning! It was what my mother feeds her dog! My soft tacos..lot of meat no cheese! Everything was cold! When I went to pick up the order the guy told me the order and I corrected him and told him what it should be and in stead of going to fix it he just shook his head yes like oh yeah I just said it wrong.
