This restaurant is next to the very popular Kaufe Haus. The Rey Sol is traditional Mexican food. It was good and the only place that we found that did temperature checks before dining indoors. They also asked you to wash your hands before entering. If you don't want to wait next door, it's worth a try.

Wanted to try a new place in town. The front patio was empty and yelp Said they were closed. They saw us sitting in the parking lot and waved us in. We obliged. They don't serve alcohol which was fine so I was REALLY hungry. Gregg and I ordered the shrimp molcajate (sp?) It was to die for. A dozen or so shrimp still sizzling on the side of the lava pool of what I call "bitchin Mexican fondue". It had cucumbers, grilled green onions, chilis, Nápoles, chorizo and queso. It came with fresh hot tortillas. We licked The bowl clean (first time we had no leftovers! The young gentleman server was extremely attentive! Can't wait to go back.

We were trying to eat next door but the wait was to long. So we tried Rey Sol. The food was delicious and the service was great! I highly recommend you giving it a try.

Overpriced for sub par food and all of it was cold. $20 for eggs that were cold...no thanks. Skip it and find something else.

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. This place is really small, so if there's a big party you're SOL. We never leave PP without eating here, we love it so much

We had…read moreactually seen a video about it on YouTube before our trip, and when we checked into our hotel, one of the employees also recommended this place for their buffet. So, of course, we had to give it a try! We tried a little bit of EVERYTHING, and there were so many options. They had pozole, picadillo, chicharrón en salsa verde, beans, rice, pancakes, and so much more. They also have an omelet station tucked into the corner. I completely missed it during our visit, but now that I know it's there, I'll definitely be checking it out next time! For our table, we decided to get just a little bit of everything so we could all taste the different dishes. I literally took about a spoonful of each of the meats and dishes because I wanted to try as much as possible. Everything we tried was delicious. They also bring handmade tortillas to the table, which is always a huge plus for me. They have aguas frescas available at the station as well -- jamaica, tamarindo, and an orange drink that reminded me of old-school Tang. And I have to talk about the desserts! I'm not really a dessert person because I don't like pastries that are overly sweet or sugary, but these were REALLY good. We got one piece of each and shared them around the table so everyone could try them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. The service was excellent, the restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The decor is really well done, and there's this gorgeous brick dome in the center with a beautiful chandelier that really adds to the whole aesthetic. It gives the restaurant a really nice, authentic feel. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Restaurante Lolita. Great variety, delicious food, handmade tortillas, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in Puerto Peñasco! I'll definitely be back and next time, I'm NOT missing that omelet station!
