First time at Reyes. Let's start with the waitress, Gabriella ... absolutely adorable. She's their secret weapon. She was skillful at food description and menu choices. We started with a spinach and cheese pupusa... delicious. Never had one. Would try the jalapeño and cheese next time bc we love super spicey. She recommended how to eat... adding the cabbage and sauce with each bite. Perfection. Based on her recommendation i had the shrimp taco. Didn't disappoint. Would definitely order again. My husband has his go-to Mexican choice-- chicken enchiladas. Again, delicious. He was very satisfied and happy with his choice. We had a top shelf margarita... can't recall the name. Something like Caddy Daddy. Loved it! The breakfast menu looked amazing as did the cocktail menu. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items. As we were eating, a regular customer stopped at our table to tell us she has had a variety of foods on their menu and said we can't go wrong, EVERYTHING IS AMAZING! I can see why. Came here for dinner because my husband and I were craving pupusas, and overall this spot delivered where it counts. The restaurant shares a parking lot with a veterinary hospital and a few other small businesses. Heads-up: there are no indoor restrooms inside the restaurant the only bathrooms are outside and shared with the neighboring businesses. They do, however, have a really nice courtyard area for dining, which made for a pleasant evening. They also have a full-service bar, which is a nice bonus. We started with the pastelitos; fried dough filled with chicken and veggies, served with curtido (pickled cabbage, carrots, and jalapeños). These were excellent: crispy on the outside, hot, flavorful, and served piping hot. Definitely a strong start. They also brought out complimentary chips and salsa, and I loved that they use homemade flour tortilla chips - those are my favorite. For our mains, I ordered a zucchini and cheese pupusa and a fish taco, while my husband had a bean and cheese pupusa, a quesabirria, and a Salvadoran chicken tamale. The pupusas were fantastic - crispy exterior, hot inside, and generously filled. The zucchini and cheese was especially delicious and plenty filling; I'd absolutely order it again. They come with curtido and red salsa, which paired beautifully with the savory pupusas. My husband felt the same about his bean and cheese pupusa. The quesabirria was a highlight too. It was a good size, packed with plenty of tender meat, and very flavorful. The Salvadoran chicken tamale was also very good, with lots of tender, flavorful chicken. The one miss was the fish taco. It was bland, soggy, and just didn't have much flavor. Credit to our server though: she noticed I barely touched it, asked if I didn't like it, and kindly removed it from our bill without any hassle. Service overall was attentive. Our drinks were refilled promptly and we were checked on regularly. We'll definitely be back for more pupusas and to explore more of the menu (just not the fish taco). read more

Came in for lunch yesterday after running errands and grocery shopping. Ordered our usuals, my step little and I both ordered revueltas and my fiancé ordered the chicharon and cheese- they were delicious like always! We also tried the chicharon and guac appetizer and it was also yummy. My only critique is I wish there was a bit more guac- It was a pretty small portion and I'd happily pay a little more for an extra avocado in the guac. Just a suggestion but we still love this place. My second time here; not sure if I'd come for a third time. I would only come back for their papusas. Chips have some corn and some flour chips. Salsa is generic. Breakfast burrito was ok. I wish it had more filling; seemed skimpy but the flavor was good. The green sauce was sour. I've had papusas prior to this, and didn't like them, but I do like this restaurants papusas! The ingredients are integrated into each other and very crispy. Flavor is good. The papusa sauce is generic. Server was pleasant but I did have to wait 30min for my food. It didn't seem that busy. I was looking for a pupusa restaurant and found Reyes. The place is conveniently located in an area with other restaurants on the same block. The place was pretty full but we were seated promptly. The menu offers both Salvadoran and Mexican dishes. For starters we had the plátanos fritos (fried plantain) as an appetizer. The plantain were sweet, deliciously accompanied with the sour cream. I tried the cheese and the chicharrón pupusas. They were super cheesy with that fresh hand made masa flavor. They were served with curtido and salsa roja. I opted to top mine with curtido (pickled cabbage, jalapeños) since the sauce tasted a bit bland. Overall the food was great. Our server constantly checked on our food and provided a pleasant experience. I would definitely come back to try some of their other offerings. read more

Superior margaritas -- and I mean that literally. Tonight, we tried three of the incredible flavors: strawberry hibiscus, Cadillac, and cucumber jalapeño. ALL were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The revuelta pupusas? Absolutely AMAZING -- a must-try. This spot is such a great addition to the community. The restaurant is clean, well-kept, and fairly spacious, with about 16 tables plus full bar seating. Had a good experience with the food and servers service, yet was cut short by another worker due to "time limit". Personally found it very rude because the server didn't have a clue yet we were already highly upset over being kicked from our table especially on mother's days. We were patient on our drinks already with the server being busy, but being kicked for time limit on a day it's known to be busy is outrageous, congrats to the server for being nice but bad look on the lady who came and excused us reconsider your hospitality if that's how you let your managers speak to others other than that food was amazing, hope to see the server soon for a new experience on this restaurant! Second time here best service they will take care of you. I been getting the margaritas they are made with house made syrups/real fruit if I may have not heard wrong. They have a cucumber jalapeño, but I just got that just jalapeno it has a great kick! I tried the Salvadoran pupusa's and oh my they are so crispy and the cheese just pulls apart nicely. Must try.
