The Dr was nice but that's the only thing that was good about this practice or experience. I was…read morereferred to this practice by my regular dentist because I broke my jaw. I am disabled and on GA Medicaid. I get $822 a month to live on. GA Medicaid shows this practice as a provider. I filled out all of the new patient paperwork online and on the day of my appt had to pay $534 for the initial exam and a 3D scan. There is absolutely no need for this scan! I had medical CT scans done at the hospital just days before!! I was told "this is how our Dr likes to see it". I had noted on my intake paperwork that I'm allergic to penicillin, also went over it with the nurse and the DR. So during my exam I was told I would need to wire my jaw shut for 6-8 weeks but that was it, he told me there wasn't enough space/bone to do a plate. They brought me a bill of over 8k stating they don't take Medicaid and I should have known that from speaking with my regular dentist (once again even Medicaid has them listed as a provider)! First it's your job to explain financial obligations to your patients not another office! Once I was on your books it became your responsibility to contact me and make sure I understood that you didn't accept Medicaid and everything would be out of pocket! Next they were "nice" enough to give me a copy of the 3D scan...yes they did use that phrase...but I tried to use it at two other places and they told me it was USELESS, just a way for this office to make money. The place I ended up getting treatment/surgery needed the scans from the hospital not a 3D scan that I was forced to get and spend money I didn't have. That brings me to the next issue. Even with a 3D scan this Dr completely missed that I had a second break in my jaw. When I saw the xrays it was so obvious that I pointed it out!! How did this Dr miss something so obvious an untrained eye could see it?? If I had gone through the treatment suggested here I would have been in so much agony due to the second break not being addressed. That brings me to the last complaint...as I said earlier I'm allergic to penicillin. I was so upset at the end of this appt realizing I had spent $534 for nothing that I didn't look at the prescriptions he gave me till I got to my car. He had prescribed me penicillin! I notified the office and was told someone would call me back. It has now been over 2 weeks and nobody has called me about it. Obviously if they called me back it would be admitting they did something wrong, this office is negligent from the time you walk in the door. I ended up having to get two plates in my jaw, crazy that another Dr had enough room to do it but this office couldn't...

I was able to fill out a lot of paperwork online and had no issues whatsoever. He's great with kids and appropriately medicated my son.

Dr. Gordon personally called me the evening after my surgery to check on my condition and asked if I had any questions or concerns . The staff at both locations were very helpful, especially Ms. Betty and Ms. Brenda. The attention to detail and the commitment they have to patient care is incredible, the entire staff treated me in the most respectful manner and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional, they made sure that all of my questions and concerns were promptly answered and addressed. They informed me of all charges and procedures before any work commenced, this is truly a first class operation that I would definitely recommend to anyone that would require this type of care.

I have since called his office twice and sent three text messages relating that the abscess had gotten larger and quite hard and the pain was much worse than before the extraction. The abscess is pressing on the tmj and nerves in my ear and jaw bone, creating pain that even prevents being able to keep my mouth closed. I conveyed that my body does not have a necessary enzyme required to convert tylenol #3 (codeine) into morphine; therefore, I am without pain medication. Dr. Gordon would not allow me to give him the history and progression of the tooth injury and resulting abscess. He said that I should only respond to questions he asked. He further chastised me during surgical prep and did not allow me to ask any questions about what he was prescribing. He left the surgical suite, and I had to get up and leave after a while because he nor his staff came to check on me. Prior to surgical prep, he assured me that he would call later that night to check on me. He did not and has not responded to any of my 5 communications where I am describing what is going on. I thought that I had an appointment with another dentist, but I was told that no dentist wanted to step in to "cover" another dentist. As a result, I am left in pain and concerned about how to effectively care for an oral abscess!

I had two teeth that needed to be extracted and I was recommended by our dentist to NorthWest oral in Acworth. When I called in horrible pain due to a tooth infection, they got me right in that day at their Dallas location. I saw doctor Dicky and he calmed my nerves a bit. Very down to earth and a very nice guy. He informed me that one of the teeth in question was angry causing nerve pain and needed to come out sooner then later. He explained the entire process to me and was able to get me in the next morning at the Marietta office. Due to health concerns and current medications I'm on, I was very uneasy about IV sedation. The staff at Marietta was nothing short of amazing. I had 2 surgery techs that were so nice and patient with me. The nurse was also very nice and the whole experience went very smoothly. I had concerns about pain afterwards due to PTSD from my wisdom teeth. I felt heard and well educated on what to expect. My husband was my ride and we had our 4 year old son with us. They were very patient with us and understanding that he was my husbands wingman for the day. They even let my son pick a prize in the prize box which he was static about. Overall I am very happy with how smoothly everything went. I will say even the billing and payment was explained well and I felt like there was no surprises. I have a few more procedures that will need to be done in the future and will definitely be using Dr. Dicky again.

OPEN ON SATURDAYS!!!…read more Omg. YES!! and the fact that they do not charge you an arm and a leg to get in, for that dental office that is open an Saturday. Came in cuz hubby just had a tooth extracted (somewhere else) and by Saturday morning, we were afraid that the extraction site may have been infected. We found them via google search, and was pleasantly surprised to have only been charged $80 for them to x-ray, examine, and clean the extraction site. They also gave us this huge syringe like thing to use for cleaning his extraction site from home. That is SO cheap!! and oh, that is how much it is WITHOUT having to use dental insurance! I honestly thought it was going to be at least $150 just to see the dentist on a Saturday! We did not have an appointment, but we can in very early, and since there were no other patients in yet, they saw us right away. They were very nice and showed a great deal of care to us. I highly recommend.
