I literally live 1 minute away from this place and most of the vehicles there have just been sitting. On this last occasion my brother brought his truck there for an oil change and a clutch and now his truck is not running. I really feel bad for him that he was used by this company that's a family ownership and you actually deal with owners. Please skip this shop when choosing where to send your vehicle!!!! Within 5 minutes he came back in showing me a video of a screw that was loose which he tightened up and took care of the problem. I had a scheduled appointment and dropped my car off around 7:00-7:30 a.m. on Friday, yet I didn't get my vehicle back until Monday. I also never received an update call--I had to call them myself. While delays can happen, my real concern is the accuracy and honesty of the information I was given. After their inspection, I was told my vehicle needed a new A/C compressor, condenser, and expansion valve, bringing the total repair cost to $6,411.07, including labor. That is a major expense, so I declined the service and sought a second opinion. I then took my car to Alpine Motor Works, where they identified the actual issue: a leaking Freon valve. They replaced the valve and recharged the A/C system, fully resolving the problem for $205.65 total. There is no reasonable explanation for being told I needed over $6,000 in repairs when the real issue was a minor leak. This feels extremely misleading and unprofessional. I was even encouraged to finance the repair and pay off the balance within 90 days, which now feels even more concerning given how unnecessary those repairs turned out to be. Being given such drastically incorrect information after a diagnostic is unacceptable. Customers rely on shops to provide honest assessments, not inflated repair recommendations. I will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to major repairs here.

Not only were they able to secure my battery in place but they also checked the status of the battery and showed and explained what was actually going on with the battery. I started using A-Z diagnostic care in 2023 and I came back time after time to get small and big repairs to my car. they are extremely honest and well priced for the Heights/Houston area.

I came in and asked for my signal light to be replaced as well as my oil and filter changed. I was told it would be ready the next day since I came in around lunch time. I brought the supplies required but I brought the wrong bulb so they used their own which is fine. I just don't know in what world it is okay to charge 79$ for a signal light replacement EVEN IF they used their own light. I bought the wrong one but they're not selling bulbs for more than 10$ at the auto store. As for the oil and oil filter I do understand I have a diesel so I'm always charged more but 99$ feels like a lot especially since I brought my own things. Everyone I told about these prices said they said it was overpriced. I don't really know much about cars or what things cost in this area which is why I was asking all my friends but I'm not coming back because I feel like it was pretty pricey and this was with a 20$ discount from the mailer.. I'm kinda disappointed because I really wanted to support a small business but never mind. They did get the work done and were very nice so this is why I gave 4 stars. I had the both the water pump and timing belt replaced at a dealership just over a year ago and was shocked that the dealership had improperly installed the timing belt. Fortunately Chris and the mechanics at the Auto Doc caught the timing belt before it broke. Highly recommend.

I took my Truck there with Running engine for repair. I asked them estimate, they wanted me to wait for 1 Hour. After that they gave me estimate of $4500 for some repairs on the Truck. It looked expensive to me and I wanted to Try another mechanic to make sure I'm not being over charged. Guess what? They car was not Running any more. They opened many parts from engine. I asked the mechanic to put it back on, He was very Rude and said: NO, YOU NEED TO PAY AT LEAST 4-5 Hours Labor to me, (4x$120), Minimum $500 to put them back on. They never had my permission to take off parts from engine for Diagnostic. I asked Manager to Talk and the Manager was even Worst and Rude. He was forcing to charge me. They never put parts back and I Had to get Tow truck to take out my car because I was sure their plan is to just charge you, No matter what. I called Tow truck to come and take it to another mechanic. Finally they charge me $100 for Diagnosing fee and my car was Not running any more. I payed a lot to tow the car to different mechanics and No one touched the car because some else took parts out and cut the bolts off. A few weeks later any other mechanics recommended me to take it to the original shop who took the engine apart and ask the to put parts back and make engine running like it was originally for Diagnosing and repair. I went back to the shop and talked to the Manager Which still was so Rude. Asked Him to fix the Car With His original Estimate around $4500. Guess what? This time he said $6500 for same repair. What normal person or Owner Does that? That was unbelievable. I asked them to do at least for $5500 for same original estimate of $4500. Same work just because I left and had to come back. They knew it and it was part of their plan. The manager said No. You have to pay $6500, Nothing less. I asked him to put the parts back like originally and pay him the labor he wanted. He Said No. I told the Owner I will leave reviews and let other people know about it. He said Do it, I Don't Care about reviews. I had to leave because I was sure even if I pay them the $6500 they never fix it and then want $10,000. The whole car Doesn't worth more that $6000. I…read morehave now come here for two oil changes and two vehicle inspections and felt very positively about the service I received here, especially since I am not knowledgeable about cars, don't have the tools necessary to work on my own car, and do not have a garage. This also means a lot being a young woman and first time car owner. Every time I've been here, I walked in and the service that I wanted was done within 30 minutes. They have a comfortable waiting room with waters, coffee, armchairs, etc. They also updated me about the state of my vehicle and performed extra services as needed, for instance they filled my tires with air and refilled my windshield wiper fluid (without me asking) and free of charge! MD Automotive goes the extra mile to make sure I can keep on rocking and rolling, and as a relative newbie to Houston and vehicle ownership, they really make me feel like my car is being well taken care of. I cannot speak on the quality of their repair services which I noticed make up most of their poor reviews, but for oil changes and regular service, I will definitely be coming back here!

The van literally broke down on the way home and I had to have it towed back.
