This restaurant left me in real discomfort; overall ,our service was horrible. We were really mistreated by our waitress- with a smile on her face the whole time. She made ordering very difficult, I asked for steak sauce and she didn't bring it out until the steak was gone. She left us sitting there at our table for about 20 minutes without checking on us. We wanted to order more drinks, but she didn't come, so I had to find another waitress to get her attention. She brought our order out and it was incorrect she messed everything up multiple times. My fish wasn't cooked all the way, I had to send it back two times I asked her to prepare it well done It got to the point where I didn't even want it anymore, but the food was excellent. Here's is the tricky part we got sick once we got home , me, and my fiancé both had a very bad upset stomach I did not know she had the same issue for a day or two later I even gave my leftovers to My Niece, and she said she had stomach problems as well. I sort of wish I would've stayed inside cause the waitress seem really nice and sweet but once we got outside on the patio, we were treated horribly with a smile on her face the whole time that's the worst part and I hate that the food made have a upset stomach cause it was very good. I thought RH House (not to be confused with RH Rooftop in Birmingham) is an elegant restaurant in Rochester Hills, offering a nice selection of steaks, chops and seafood. Appetizers generally great - I love how the seared ahi was prepared with a super crunchy edge of sesame seeds. Mac and cheese was good and so were the crispy Brussels sprouts. The boom boom shrimp is a must order and is easily shared and super flavorful. They didn't have the Monastrell bottle in stock and they also only had one tomahawk steak left (we had a large party looking to order two). My French onion soup was super salty - way more than it should be. The steaks were prepped exactly as ordered but the cuts seem to have quite a bit of sinewy fat. I am not familiar with the area, but RH House is a nice restaurant that was chosen for a corporate dinner. RH House has a great atmosphere and is a great place for corporate customer, however they did have to seat our larger party at two separate tables which is not conducive to networking. Our table ordered the brussel sprouts, steak bites, and calamari as an appetizer, all of which were delicious. I opted for the pan seared scallops with salad for dinner and it was ok. I wanted the scallops to be more "melt in your mouth' and the risotto was a bit crunchy. Overall it was a nice place and if I were in the area I would try it again, but select a different entree. read more

Cute place-remodeled from a fast food restaurant and looks upscale and modern. Our waitress was very attentive, bringing refills without being asked. The food all came out in a timely manner. We ordered entrées which came with either soup or salad, and both of them were delicious. I got the fillet which was cooked perfectly and came with a delicious vegetable medley. I upgraded to the risotto side, which was also delicious. My husband had the ribeye and he said it was delicious as well. We each got a dessert. I got the carrot cake which was humongous. Our dining experience got off to a great start with a complimentary bread basket. The bread had a thick crust, making it perfect for dipping in the next excellent part of the experience: tomato basil soup. This is chunky with San Marzano tomatoes and a generous touch of fresh basil. With such a strong start, we eagerly awaited the rest of our food. My wife didn't care for the salmon burger, but I thought it was a good blend of salmon, breadcrumbs, and seasoning. My wagyu beef burger, unfortunately, was a huge letdown. They layer tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and pickles between the bottom bun and patty. The result is a gloppy mess of a bun that was impossible to pick up without everything falling apart. Why weren't these put on the top part? The bun wasn't toasted...this would have helped. But, the worst part of burger, sadly, was the patty itself. It was surprisingly plain. I had a burger at Red Robin recently where the beef tasted better. This prompted me to look up if there are different grades of wagyu beef. Indeed there are. The fries were excellent, however. While we didn't finish our sandwiches, we did clear out plates of fries. The service was prompt and efficient, though the server didn't offer to replace the bun when I told her how soggy it was. Beautiful restaurant! It's a great date night spot; not necessarily high end but more than just casual. We were out for our final meal of 2025. Tomato soup is delicious as are the sausage and peppers. Peppers had a hint of spice so I thought they were fantastic. The drinks were also very good; our waiter recommended a couple and we appreciated that. The Berkshire pork chop was my main course, it was recommended to be cooked medium well and I couldn't say if it would've been better any other way. It was seasoned well; came with a vegetable medley that was kind of bland but my wife's dish came with zip sauce so I just dunked it in there and all was right! My final bite of 2025 was of this amazing 8 layer carrot cake, it was awesome but I was unable to finish it. My first bite of 2026 might have also been that carrot cake, not sorry. The crispy Brussels sprouts were good but very oily. The French onion soup was very good. I liked the Maurice salad but still have yet to find one as good as the one at Hudson's/Macy's. My husband really enjoyed the burger and the truffle fries were awesome. The side of Mac and cheese was good but a little steep at $12. Lastly they brought out our crème brûlée dessert with a candle and happy anniversary message written on the plate. A very nice and unexpected touch. A group of 6 of us met for dinner at the RH House. First of all, the ambiance was very attractive. We all liked the little lights on the tables. Just the right amount of light without taking up much room. I appreciated that all the entrees came with bread and salad. All of their dressings are house made. I had the strawberry vinaigrette and it was lovely; thicker than I would have expected and just the right amount of sweetness. The salad was a good size, although there were too many onions. The bread they served was light and delicious as well. For my dinner, I had the chicken fettucine alfredo. I loved the giant bowl that it came in. There was the right balance of sauce to noodles, and there was a good amount of chicken. I also appreciated that they put broccolini in it. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. She answered our questions and offered great recommendations. Food came very quickly after it was ordered, even though everything is made to order. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp and Steak Bites for appetizers. For entrees, we ordered the Tortellini a la Vodka with an RH salad, and the Chilean Sea Bass with a bowl of Tomato Basil Bisque. Came back to try out dinner... it was delicious compared to lunch I had a few weeks ago. I'm not into cocktails, so I started with a glass of Prosecco, can't go wrong there. Had a side dinner salad with house balsamic dressing; it was fresh, crisp and very tasty. I chose the Perch Picatta; a rather large portion, but I ate it all, because I don't like reheated fish. Our apps were the Brussel sprouts and calamari. Brussel sprouts had a lot of flavor, but a bit too much oil. Calamari was a bit bland, but crispy. Sauces elevated it. For our mains, we had the scallop carbonara and chicken fettuccini. Scallops were cooked well, but pasta flavor was a bit bland. Chicken fettuccini was like every other fettuccini Alfredo pasta. Nothing outstanding, but it was good! The tomato bisque was my favorite thing! So much flavor and thick creamy soup base. Great food, awesome location (this area is begging for a nice restaurant with good food!) and a beautiful layout. But the service was meh and, considering that my father and his wife are practically regulars, the server was borderline rude. I didn't take any photos because 1) the place was packed, so it would have just looked like a lot of people at a place and 2) I'm not sure how down Dad was going to be with food on social media. I will say that my perch risotto was definitely served beautifully, Dad's scallops looked perfect and his wife's au jus sammich was the best looking hot mess ever. The food was brag-worthy and, given the menu size and diversity, I was grateful to have found something so wonderful. That said, I don't recall any question from the server about drinks or refills (we were fine, but would have been nice to ask) and it seemed like a long while before any bread came out. The restaurant was busy but c'mon; bread is easy. The pace of the meal was otherwise OK, particularly given the crowd. Paying at the end was awkward to say the least. Dad and his wife have a short stack of gift cards to RH House. Everyone gifts them with these, which speaks to how much they love this place. So they brought a few along, handed them to the server and expected either a small bill or just needing to leave a cash tip. Instead the server said there were only a few dollars on each. When Dad asked for the cards back, the server refused claiming that he had already run them. No further explanation, no eye contact and zero feeling of customer service; as I said, it was very awkward. It was an otherwise nice night out - I hadn't seen my folks in years - but the outing was bumpy. Dad took it in stride but was pretty tight-lipped about it afterward (and I wasn't about to raise it for discussion). If they visit again - and that is very likely - I hope they remember this and ask about the gift card balance ahead of time.. and keep better notes about their balance, just in case. Happy to say that after my first visit to this upscale restaurant in a unassuming location in Rochester Hills, I've got nothing but positive reviews and comments to report to my fellow Yelpers. The first thing that struck me is the refined but elegant decor of the entire dining area. The feeling I got was more welcoming than over-stated. The menu had a nice selection of pasta, seafood, steak, sides and appetizers. I chose the Chicken Parmesan with a bowl of the tomato bisque soup. The Chicken Parmesan was perfectly prepared with a nice crust and very tasty marinara on a bed of spaghetti pasta. Outstanding. The tomato bisque was creamy and delectable on a cold winter night. My wife ordered the Perch Piccata that she enjoyed immensely. The service was on point without being overbearing.
