WOW, just WOW. I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food but this place singlehandedly makes me want to come back everytime! I visited Rhaan with my mother for the first time while we were looking for Asian food options in the area (other than ramen or Pho). Upon arriving at 2PM, there was no one in the restaurant. We took a seat at the corner table and their menus are huge. A great variety of options and they also have boba milk tea choices! I ordered their roasted duck curry with lychee boba, while my mother ordered the crab fried rice. Both entrees were fantastic and my lychee boba was cold, icy and thick. Brilliant for a hot summer day. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal; it's of good portion, and I thought the heart shaped rice was super cute. Duck was well cooked and not too soggy or chewy. Next time, I want to try the crispy duck curry. I'll definitely be back. read more

We stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We were seated immediately, and our food arrived surprisingly fast. Our waitress was friendly, patient, and happy to answer our questions about the menu, making it easy to decide what to order. I ordered the Pad Thai with a medium spice level, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, and the spice level added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. I also ordered the children's orange chicken meal and it was a great portion size for a child. I appreciated that they even provided an extra plastic dish, making it much easier for the child to eat. The Thai tea was another highlight. It came in a generous sized glass and had the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. We came acrossed this spot via Yelp! We love Yelp for everything... This spot looks new, very clean and simple design. Big menu and the few dishes tried are all pretty good! The staff are always welcoming too. We are all about healthy eating and this restaurant seems to have many healthy looking dishes. The chicken samosas are dead on authentic! So happy to find these here... The only thing we don't get it is this sugary syrup that comes as a side for dipping. It's just sugar water with color added on! This is diabetes ready. They don't serve this in Asia. Our neighbors shared that they come here too. We seek only restaurants that have 4 stars and up. Keep up the good job but you need to replace the sugary colored syrup with something else... I would have given 5 stars otherwise. read more

The minute we arrived, we noticed that the restaurant was very clean. Ambience was calm and inviting. Our server greeted and sat us right away. We ordered the calamari and roasted duck over rice. Calamari was very crispy but not greasy. The roasted duck over rice came with a cup of clear vegetable broth that was so comforting. The roasted duck came boneless on the rice with brown sauce over it. The duck was tender and very tasty. I would definitely recommend if you're crazing Thai food! read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time for lunch. We were seated right away without any wait. What I like was that you get one spring roll with each entree. We ordered their Thai iced tea along with some hot tea. Then we ordered their pad Thai with chicken, shrimp basil and massaman curry. I really liked their Pad Thai and Massaman curry with chicken. Buyer beware: new management December 2024 and recipes have changed! I order from Rhaan Thai at least once per week, and the food has always been excellent. I ordered from Rhaan Thai today, and the food delivered was not as advertised or as good as usual. Specifically, the food was not prepared as described in the menu, and the food was undercooked or overcooked, depending on the item. I called and asked about this, because it is so unusual, and was told they are under new management as of three days ago. Met up with an old friend for dinner since I have been in this area for three years. This Thai restaurant is very close to my hotel and had pretty good reviews. We ordered the same dish, Three-flavors fish with mild (for my fried) spicy (5/5 for myself). The fried cat fish fillets were tended and slightly fried and mixed with vegetables and crispy basil leaves. It was a wonderful selection. We also had Mixed Seafood Salad as appetizer, and warm stir fried seafood mixed with lemongrass, shallots, tomato, mint leaves and spring green were a perfect combination that topped with Thai chili in lime juice. Another great dish. The other appetizer, potstickers, never been served but we have nothing to complain since the food is so delicious. There were too many patrons inside. Maybe the locals don't like Thai food. My friend is definitely coming back from more in the future. This is his newly found local favorite from now on. read more

Went to R'Haan on a date with a regular and I'm so glad he made the suggestion! Great restaurant with chill ambiance and awesome Thai food. We started with the potstickers which were tasty with a flavorful filling and accompanied by both sweet and sour sauce and peanut sauce. I ordered the pad kee mow and it's some of the best I've had, I loved the noodle texture (but probably could have upped my heat, I picked 2). My date ordered a curry which he raved about. No alcohol, but I hear you can BYOB. I opted for the Thai tea which was creamy and not too sweet. Perfect date night spot: quiet enough to have a conversation with great food and service. My previous review was under the last owner. It was great. Now, not so great. The flavor profiles are completely different. The chicken is boiled and tastes like it. Too much fish sauce is the main flavor profile. It's just not the same. I will not ever be back. Previously it was great. Now it's just awful. The gluten free and veggie options are clearly marked on their regular menu. The standard gluten free options are your basic curries, pad Thai, and salads. I've had both the red curry (zucchini!) and yellow curry (best potatoes ever). Both curries are beyond flavorful. I've also had the papaya salad which is also super delicious. The ambiance here is very soft, chill and romantic. There are faux candles "lit" at each table, perfectly dim lighting, and soft instrumentals playing as you enjoy your meal. It was shockingly quiet and empty tonight, and we were the only two people seated at 5:30 PM. it was very peaceful and kind of cool to hear the pots and pans clink as they prepared our food. Our server was very kind and friendly. She answered all our questions and made sure my green tea was piping hot - every single cup! My fiancé got a sparkling water and it was served in a wine glass which I thought was so cute. To start we got the crispy wrapped shrimp, which was 4 pieces of perfectly cooked shrimp wrapped in super crunchy fried egg roll wrappers and served with a delicious sticky sweet dipping sauce. Then I got a cup of wonton soup (wonderful portion, can't imagine how large a bowl is!) and my fiancé got the garlic prawns. The soup was perfect for a cold day, warm and simple with 4 adorable wontons, glass noodles and a hint of chicken and veggies. I got chili oil on the side to add to it and it really elevated the whole dish, but be careful - it is genuinely spicy! The garlic prawns were fantastic, came with tons of veggies in thick brown sauce and with a side of perfectly cooked rice. The food was just 10/10 across the board. And then....we got dessert. The sweet rice with ice cream to be precise. Again, the rice was just cooked to perfection and served with a fat scoop of blue bell and a bright red maraschino cherry. What more could you want? This was a fabulous dinner and I hope they are getting the foot traffic they deserve. I only saw 2 people come in to pick up orders while we dined. We spent almost $150 on this order and I had to throw most of it in the trash ... will not order from again ... so disappointed. We were going to the Italian place next door and it was closed, so we stopped in to this place and man are we glad the other place was closed, the food here was sooo flavorful and delicious! Thus restaurant is ok. The service is always super slow though. Getting a refill on your soda is almost impossible. When we come here for lunch the food takes a really long time to come out, I think they only make one dish at a time in the kitchen. Though the food is tasty. There is typically only one server, which is not enough for the busy times. Parking is ok, spaces are kind of tight which makes it rough to get in and out. Another thing is sometimes you order a spicy item from 1-5 and 3 can be fine or super hot. Consistency is lacking. read more

I am really happy that I decided to just randomly pop in here today for lunch. The food is amazing, I'm in love with the mural, my server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu, it's all Thai dishes, and they mean business! Personally, I think it is great that there are no Chinese-American, Vietnamese, Bento Boxes, Sushi, or Korean BBQ dishes on the menu; there are familiar Thai dishes, like Pad Thai, and some that will be new, like the Thai chili sauce dish I had. So if you love Thai food, you'll find something you'll enjoy, or ask the server for a recommendation. You really can't go wrong either way! I'm going to recommend the fish cake appetizer, which is my go to Thai dish and is as good or better than the one's Thai Passion in Austin, Tx served when they opened back in the day. The food was okay, but the bill we received was ridiculous. First, they charged an extra $3 on two of our entrées. When we spoke to the manager about the error, she claimed they had a new computer system that doesn't match the menu. Second, they added a 22% gratuity -- that's crazy! Restaurants usually charge 18% or 20% for large parties, but not 22%. Lastly, they also calculated sales tax based on the subtotal plus the gratuity! read more

My husband and I came here on Christmas Eve for lunch. I don't know what's up with the negative reviews re: new management, but we enjoyed coming here and are glad we did. We originally were going to go to Spazzios but they were closed, and we figured we'd take a chance on this place. We were not disappointed-I had the Yellow Curry with Shrimp and my husband had the Rhaan Pepper Steak oand we both agreed the food was delicious. (And I've eaten at many Thai places-it's one of my favorite cuisines). Service was prompt and friendly, prices are reasonable and they were even playing some really beautiful classical Christmas music while we ate.
