Came here today to try the new pho integration into the BNK! They have a really extensive menu from sizzling plates like Bo Né to Vietnamese crepes like Banh Xèo/Banh Khốt, i was even surprised to see Bun Cha Hanoi on the menu as well. But we came here to try the pho! My bf ordered their large special oxtail (Pho Dưới Bo Đặc Biệt) while I had their famous Be Thui (Baby Veal) The broth was very flavorful, the portion size was huge, and we love the wide rice noodles. Their sauce for the be thui was good as well and I liked that they garnished the it with red onions and ngo om, that gave it a really good flavor balance! My bf inhaled his entire bowl down to nothing so I think it's safe to say he liked it. Their saté is also really good! It's always nice to find a place that has custom saté or at least not the generic ones! The service was really friendly and it's a vibe for the restaurant, plenty of seatings and plenty of TVs especially for football season!

    #7 Pho on the menu.

If you want a solid hot pot, hangout with friends, date, solo trip, it's great. Highly recommend best of both worlds broth and definitely get the fried rice.

A buffet and hot pot combination can be a dream come true for those who enjoy having the ability to…read moremix and match or experiment with ingredients, control how it's all cooked, then go back for more. But, as Happy Lamb Hot Pot demonstrates, things that are great in theory aren't always that way in practice, Here's how it works. The first step is to choose a soup base from about half a dozen varieties. You can have one, two or three different types in the same pot (although adding a third will cost extra). Then you choose meat: chicken, beef, lamb or pork. They also offer some premium cuts of beef for an additional fee. Once those are ordered, you visit the buffet where there's a wide selection of seafood, vegetables, sauces and even some foods that don't go into the hot pot, like chicken wings, sesame balls and fried rice. While I loved the fact that there were so many options, it quickly became apparent that some were much better than others. For example, the chicken and lamb were fine, but the non premium beef we got was not the best quality. The seafood and vegetables from the buffet were fresh and plentiful. However, the items that were not hot pot-able left something to be desired, like spring rolls that were cold in the middle, or dried out, overcooked fried dumplings. Our group was big enough to use separate hot pots at our table for a total of 4 soups. The Thai Tom Yum soup base was hands down the best and most flavorful of them all. The worse was the original marrow broth, which had a pungent sour flavor that basically made it inedible. I'm sure through trial and error a fantastic meal could be constructed from what's available here. But, for the price, I won't be in big hurry to return and make the effort.

Taipo is a little speakeasy restaurant behind a hidden entrance and it's a fun vibe, especially for date night. We stopped in one evening and Rasham was bartending while Mia was shadowing on her first day but her actions let us know she's an industry pro - which she was. They both gave great recommendations for food and drinks. We got Nepali Reaper Momos, Sichuan momos, chicken chow mein, mango habanero tofu, an old fashion and a strawberry margarita. Everything was flavorful, but my favorites were the Nepali-style fries, the sichuan momos, and the chicken chow mein. The reaper momos were good but they were pretty spicy (coming from people who ordered most of the spicy things on the menu haha). The interior was ornate and beautiful but again, the service is what couldn't be beat. Rasham went above and beyond to provide an experience for us showering us with bubbles for a nice photo and adding some flare and glitter to my strawberry margarita. Mia was knowledgeable of their menu and overall nice to talk to while we sat and ate at the bar. Definitely recommend this place and can't wait to come back soon!
