Dropped off my car on Saturday morning for a transmission service, the mechanic behind the counter was professional. They sent a text to notify me it was ready for pick up. Once I did the pick up I asked how did the service go, he said it REALLY needed the service (2016 never had a trans service) I also asked when should I do fluid change, front desk was very helpful. FO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! I swear every time I've brought either one of my vehicles here there were missing parts, nuts n bolts. I would literally leave with more problems than what I came with. The mechanics are incompetent and forget things, like putting my wheel lock back in my truck instead it's in their tool box. I had my truck on a lift at another shop and had to put it down and drive all the way back here to get it! Unreal!! They did work on my car too and didn't put the skid plate back on correctly and it kept falling off and dragging. This happened twice. The first time they put another one on but the second time the owner was being a D wouldn't fix it even tho it was their fault. Never apologized to me or made it right. I stopped bringing my cars here but they still kept sending me fallow up texts. I asked them to stop and the owner texts me back, "don't get exited". . I visited Rialto Smog and Muffler once before todays visit. My first visit was for a basic diagnostic on a much older car which I no longer own. Great customer service, the team kept it straight forward and found the best and most affordable route for me when it was time to fix my car. Today I went in for an oil change that was very much needed. Danny, whom I met during my first visit, was very helpful. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, I expressed the issue with my car, he asked for my keys and BAM my car was in the garage getting worked on right away. The wait time was 15 min. which was perfect for me because I have such a busy schedule throughout the week, hence the reason why my oil change was overdue. Nice comfortable setting with running AC, the business is conveniently located on the corner of the street. I didn't have to look for the business which is even more amazing. A large shop, clean, fully stocked with modern mechanical diagnostic equipment, and tha most polite, respectful group of men doing all kinds of fixing things. This shop waz immaculate, tha bathroom waz spotless and tha waiting area waznt too bad either, I saw coffee n a donut box on tha table, as well as cable tv... Ultimately I waz directed in a stall n they qwikly n efficiently determined tha problem, got my approval n began fixing! Since I had that rear end collision a month passed, I had them install tha lens and socket I had bought but hadnt installed, and got an oil change too. I took my car in do to multiple leaks. I was given an estimate by the manager for repairs. I thought that the estimate was a little on the high side, but I agreed to repairs because I needed the problem fixed. A week later, I was informed that the repairs were completed. I went to pick up my car and I was told that I still had a "oil leak" and would need to put oil in the car DAILY. I complained to the manager and I was told that the ORIGINAL estimate was for a different leak, not the oil. I was then given ANOTHER HIGH ESTIMATE to complete the rest of the repairs. "Jaime," he only works weekends here and is very dedicated, works 7 days a week while going to college and providing for his family. Very honest, up front and he actually let me know before hand that my jeep might pass but no guarantees. It passed easily, prior shop wanted almost a thousand dollars to get it to pass. I did work myself, minus recommended bull-crap fixes at first shop. I spent 100 in parts for a tune-up and it passed. This shop that Jaime works at on weekends only, was very nice, clean and cordial. I would like to use this space and time to recommend Rialto Auto and Muffler and Mr. Hector. Couple days ago, my "Check Engine" light turned on and upon me using my Digital Code Reader, was informed that my automobile had a possible problem with the catalytic converter. I quickly searched Yelp! And found Rialto Auto Muffler as being the closest to my place or area of residence. I called and spoke to Mr. Hector who told me to bring it down to the shop so that they would take a look at it. When I arrived, I was informed that they would be able to look at the car and possibly tell me what the situation was. Unfortunately for me, when the digital code reader showed me the information of what was wrong with the car, I erased the code afterwards; making it almost impossible for Hector and his crew to properly diagnose the issue. He gave me a ballpark amount that I would have to pay to get the car fixed. According to what I told him it sounded to him that the whole muffler system had to be changed due to the fact that the catalytic converter would have needed to be soldered onto the muffler and that sometimes does not work. We agreed that I would drop-off the car bright and early on Saturday when they open. To my surprise when I arrived 15 minutes prior to opening of business, Mr. Hector was already there, with a box of doughnuts and freshly brewed coffee, ready to take my information down and start working on the car. About half-an-hour later I received a call to inform me that the catalytic converter was not it need to be changed and that in fact what he originally quoted me was not going to be the full price paid for the work that was finally done. He fixed the car and reviewed for any possible future fixings that could arise with the use of the car. Any other mechanic would have just changed to muffler and catalytic converter, charged us an extravagant amount and possibly not do a single good on the car. Hector and Rialto Auto and Muffler were very honest and understanding that we are all "working-stiffs" who don't own money trees. I appreciate and again recommend Rialto Auto and Muffler as a top-notch business. In closing I must add that I so appreciated when Hector told me that he would call me in a couple of weeks to see how the car was working....I have never had any mechanic treat any of my cars as if they were patients at a doctor's office....come to think of it, I've never had any doctors call me to see how I was doing!
