This was actually our second time at Rialto. The first time was great. I had ravioli and husband had chicken parm. So we decided to go back for lunch today, and we were disappointed. The food was decent... I had a four-cheese calzone, and the marinara was top-notch. Husband enjoyed his baked lasagna, and our toddler devoured her pizza. That being said, the wait time was a little ridiculous-- and they weren't extremely busy, so I don't know what was up with that. The lunch menu was very limited. I would expect that of a lunch menu, but the prices and portions were definitely DINNER-sized. We may as well have come for dinner; at least then we would've had more selection. It's also worth noting that Rialto is not kid friendly. No kid entrees (not on the lunch menu, anyway-- we had to ask for the cheese pizza) and no high chairs. Just a wobbly booster seat that had me praying she wouldn't slide out of it. I get it that some restaurants don't necessarily welcome children. Rialto is apparently one of them. Beautiful interior and a great find in Vidalia - definitely should check this one out! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and hustled - she was the only front of house staff there the day we ate lunch and managed 4 to 7 tables very well! The wine slushies are a great reason just to stop in! The food was good...especially loved the homemade minestrone soup and warm potato chip/fries. It was a little pricey for lunch, but will try them again for dinner one night! read more

I can say as a traveler of the united states, I have eaten some wonderful italian food. But this place, in this small quiet town outranks them all. The bread and herb butter that compliments your meal is fresh, warm, and crusted perfectly. Small but wonderful wine list, with reasonable by the glass and bottle prices. The appetisers looked great but the risotto was out so I didn't get to enjoy. What I did order is a veal marsala, but I was brought a veal parmesan. Not a big deal as the veal marsala is not actually on the menu but they will make it upon request. The veal parmesan was amazing. The veal was lightly breaded and browned perfectly. Tender, juicy and perfect. The gravy was robust with a little sweet. Seriously the best red gravy I have had. Paired with the Penn that was perfectly aldente made the dish. The portions are huge, and so delicious. If you leave hungry, your just used to fast food, and shouldn't eat at a high class restaurant. My group also had the shrimp with vodka sauce, delicious, chicken flourintene with pasta Alfredo, also amazing, egg plant parmesan, looked scrumptious. DELICIOUS! I have had the Fra Diavolo, and it was fantastic! The only complaint I have is that the serving was enough for three adults! The bruschetta is the best I've ever eaten! We returned a week later and I had the Gnocchi with Pesto, which was so creamy. The only complaint about that dish was that it was so rich and could have used a bit more texture (and salt) in the sauce. I would return here any time I was in the Vidalia area! Vidalia Georgia has a hidden gem and it is magnifico! The Rialto is pleasing to the senses when you walk in--comfortable decor and seating. The music they play is a real plus . I know you already want to go and we haven't even spoken of the food. A burst of flavors in your mouth, so many layers. While in Vidalia on business for four nights two of them I dined at Rialto. A wonderful shrimp scampi, and salmon Alfredo . You start with with the small , but adequate loaf of warm bread and wonderful garlic butter. Caesar salad spot on ( only disappointment no anchovies). You are not rushed, the staff is efficient and friendly, and Chris adds his person touch by checking on you during your meal. Good Italian food in Georgia-- the Rialto has pulled it off ! read more

The tastiest Marsala (I had chicken) I have ever had! I wanted to take the whole plate home wi me to enjoy all over again tomorrow. The side salad was very chilled and French bread loaf was crunchy and hot. From the moment we entered this restaurant we felt the warmth of the hostess and wait staff... even the chef and owner came by our table asking if all was OK...and the restaurant was full! Our food arrived very quickly. Desserts divine. A lot of perks for a small town Italian restaurant but the very best perk was their delicious food! We have eaten in so many great restaurants over the years and I would put this experience at the top! Go there! You wil not be disappointed! read more

Traveled to the Vidalia Onion Festival and a local recommended this restaurant. Wonderful dining experience. Entrees are delicious and large. My husband and I shared the fettuccine with shrimp. Our friends had the shrimp scampi and lasagna. Meals came with a salad. We all loved our choices. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs. Reasonable prices. read more

Horrible first time experience. Ordered to go. Two meals cost $40. Chicken alfredo and a shrimp special. They both tasted like pure fish. I was awful. Needless to say, they didn't get ate. I'll stick to Tarantinos in Reidsville. read more
