For this company there should be a zero star option!!!…read more DO NOT EVEN THINK OF USING THEM National Chimney & Masonry was contracted to clean my chimney. While cleaning they told my wife that the chimney was seriously deteriorated and recommended a stainless steel liner. Big surprise they had it on the truck and scared her into the installation that day - $1,100. It was bad enough to get taken on the install but they did not even do it correctly and created a deadly situation in my home. I returned home a week later to find our home filled with smoke and soot. I called my oil company who told me that the insert was incorrectly installed and National had sealed the pipe with an excessive amount of cement, which fell into the chimney opening and completely sealed it off. I called a REPUTABLE Chimney service to inspect and here is what they found: A 5 inch insert was placed into a 7 inch chimney opening which was not only against code, but was not large enough to support the existing oil burning furnace and gas hot water heater. This caused a backup of smoke and soot which clogged the furnace and the insert. The installer ran the hot water heater smoke pipe directly into the wall, instead of using the proper connection outside of the wall, which is against code. When the hot water heater was installed in the wall, the installer cut into the stainless steel insert, instead of using a T connection, invalidating the lifetime warranty on the insert. Two new chimney caps were installed, one of which was the incorrect size for the chimney opening. The two caps that were fine were taken away Inspection of the top of the chimney showed that furnace cement was used to seal the new insert in place. Cardboard was packed around the insert pipe to keep it in place while the cement dried, which is not only against code, but caused an extremely dangerous fire hazard in the chimney. Inspection of the top eight feet of the chimney showed only normal wear and tear, a condition in which an insert is not recommended by a reputable chimney cleaning company. Repeated calls to the company and messages left have been ignored and owner Tom Casey told me to take him to court. I took him to small claims court and the judge decided it was a clear case of consumer fraud and awarded triple the judgment. Of course I have not been able to collect from this crook National Chimney Tom Casey, owner

If you need a plumber don't use this Guy or any of his other services…read more Yes a plumber as well If anything like his plumbing business he represents your chimney may come down on you If you are need of a plumber please do not use this guy who contacts you through Nextdoor Neighbor. His name is Nicholas Bridgwood tel no 516-642-8275. He made a promise to comeback the very next morning and did not show up nor did he call. In the evening OF THAT DAY he was to show up I sent him a text. I got no reply. The next day IN THE afternoon I sent him another text I stated . "I can understand you May have a broken phone or a family emergency" and I wanted to hear from him by the end of that day. I also included in my text in the event you are hiding from your obligation I am prepared with a negative review. This guy blew up and I am now hearing from him in a very vulgar manner. I was willing to let this go and let him get away without him fulfilling his obligation but he published a bullshit story on the Neighbor and blocked me from seeing his post. Another reader contacted me that he posted a negative remark against his customer. Hey Bud, the customer is always right and if you want a business you sure are a poor contractor and the number of positive reviews on yelp shows evidence of that. Today 2/17I called up the Office of Consumers Affairs His Pluming Business is Unlicensed and also his Chimney Sweep business under his name nor his phone number as above is not registered where the work was performed. Like you I have evidence of the phone call He then post on this the Neighbor a bunch of lies and then blocked me from reading his review. In this manner he he slander his customer You do not have a license to do contracting work in Suffolk County The washing machine is not from 1973 but 2013 I know it is not your responsibility to tell me what is wrong with you son. All you needed to do was to tell me you can't make it you had a family emergency. BTY The illness is Febrile Seizure not Federal Seizure. A simple I am sorry phone call to tell me you can't make it would have been sufficient. In my email even stated that. But you reacted to the if part. Not my problem if don't uderstand the proper business etiquette. As it stands I stayed home woof 2 days waiting till I had enough of your lack of courtesy. Hey Bud, the work you were supposed to have done was not free like you stated. It was a barter deal where you wanted me to give you a favorable feedback for the extra work. Hey bud please learn your trade. The reason why water was pouring out of the overhead pipe was because the water back pressure which was stopped by blocked and clogged pipe. There was nothing wrong with the washer pump because it was sufficient pump pressure to pump the water up in the first place. I gave you over 30 hrs to respond and NOT 5 mins like you posted. Hey bud, if you are reading this here is your biggest lie. YOU ARE NOT LICENSED IN SUFFOLK COUNTY as a plumber nor chimney sweep. Hey bud, under the law you must provide your licence ID whenever asked to do so. You are also required to post you licence ID on all advertisement on car doors and windows posting, and the internet like yelp. So you are in violation by not providing your ID in the text I sent you. This is not harassment but a legal requirement Hey bud, by you putting out a bad mouth remark on the Nextdoor neighbor had slandered my name. The date of the posting and a feedback from a contact from neighbor illustrated to me of your intentions tarnish my reputation. My slander to you and your business is my reaction to bad business like nature and your initial badmouth. Not you wait and see what happens to your business.

Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value…read moreOur most recent project, a complete home renovation was the 3rd project my husband and I did with John Petsco at LICC. In the past, LICC renovated our kitchen and built us a deck so when we bought our new house, there was no question what company we were going to use. This was a major project. They gutted the house, built an extension and remodeled both the downstairs and upstairs of our home. They installed a new hvac system, all new floors, light fixtures, windows and cabinets, They took down walls, built a new banister for the staircase, refaced my fireplace and built a new front door.. John helped us design the home of our dreams. He is the most amazing contractor. He handled everything. He dealt with the town for our permits, took care of electric, plumbing, hvac, installation etc. John doesn't cut corners. He was hands on from the beginning until our house was complete. He showed up and made sure everything was completed in the time frame he said it would be completed. We trust him completely. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was on point. John's crew was respectful, skilled and attentive. They answered any questions as they came up.. His office staff helped me pick out fixtures and colors and were always available to discuss my ideas for decorating my house. We are beyond happy in our home. LICC did an amazing job. We would recommend them without any reservations. We did extensive research before picking John Petsco and LICC to do a gut renovation of our house…read more We couldn't have been more happy with our choice! Throughout, John was communicative and transparent, and his contractors were of the highest quality. And importantly for us, John understood our open concept vision from day one -- it was like he could read our minds. Among other things: * John helped us discover what was possible to do with the house. After tearing down the walls, he worked with an architect to figure out whether it was possible to vault the ceilings and how. * John pushed back on our ideas when they would have been too expensive for our budget, or overall not worth the money. He worked with us to find different, but equally gorgeous, ways to solve the same problem. * John ran a tight ship, and made clear when we had to pick out doors, materials, etc. This helped the project run on schedule (though of course there were inevitable delays with supplies due to Covid). * When some items were damaged in transit, John worked with suppliers to get replacements ASAP. * When we needed additional work done (e.g. to plan the backyard), John recommended other contractors, all of which have been professional and of high quality. * There was never any doubt how much anything would cost or when we'd be charged. When unexpected issues came up, John was clear and transparent about what our options were and worked with us to decide how to proceed. After the initial renovation, we continued to work with John to renovate our back yard and pool, and have recommended him to multiple friends who are doing similar projects.
