Excellent service. Busy, new location but don't make the mistake of letting that deter you. Their food is amazing, and for less than $12 I made 3 meals out of the generous portion of great quality food. They've trained their staff very well. The waiter was on top of his game, friendly, not overbearing, and me and my family member were able to enjoy our meal without being continually asked how the food was. I look forward to dining here again and plan on making it my "go to" when I want a good, filling meal and a friendly, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Great location off the California Street exit, opposite side of the street from the zoo and next door to Chili's. This restaurant is already in demand. Great place. Awesome barbecue. You have to try the fried pickles and BBQ ranch. Amazing! Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Drinks were mediocre, I would recommend sticking to beer if you order a drink. Blackberry cobbler was great as well, just wish they served it with a scoop of ice cream. read more

This was not good....we were passing through after leaving Winstar... We try to order some of every thing when we see a new BBQ place...so we ordered the 3 meat and got brisket, ribs and sausage and a ribs plus one and got baby backs and hot link. The sausage and hot links were good. The ribs were horrible and had no smoke flavor at all...they had to be old as they were dry and overcooked. The top layer had to be peeled off as it was so hard. The brisket was dry and not good too... The sides we had were good...onion rings and we ordered fries, but got okra, but no problem because it was good. The mac and cheese was okay. The sauces are AMAZING. For $38, we were diaappointed... We got off the exit to go to another restaurant but decided to stop there...we took our food to go..as it is Christmas Eve and we were headed to Fort Worth. Nice inside, Brisket was dry and not very tasty. Tasted like they boiled the ribs. Sides are a disappointment.

The staff is positively amazing at this location and the food is 95% perfection. The only thing that could be upgraded to make the food 100% perfection is the sausage. It is not the best sausage in town. read more

The food was pretty good except the ribs. Brisket was tender and sweet smoky beans were delish. Ribs were dry, tough and chewy. Our waitress Natalie was the best. Knowledge and attentive without being annoying. She knows the menu and brought us a sample of the sausage to see if we would like it. It was similar to Ekrich so we passed. Three meat plate was enough to feed us both and we got full. Lemonade cake was moist and had two kinds of fillings. We will go back. read more

The food was actually really good, as was our server. My 3 stars are more for cleanliness than any thing else. Paper and trash all over the floor and no one taking any time to clean it up. Food was amazing, our server was awesome and frequently checked on us. I had the baby back ribs with original rub. They fell. off. The. Bone. Sauces avail on the table- spicy, Carolina and original. They were all very good. Hubby had the pulled pork and sausage which he loved. Fried okra was yummy! Portions were plentiful. Not much in Gainesville as far as my time living there. But this place was great. Food was hit and tasted. Service was great as well. Every time we went there my wife and I enjoyed our visit. We shared the ribs since it was good size and the citrus run was great. Beans and fries as well. Drink Diet Coke there with Sode if lemon and it was always fresh. Ate at this place for the first time about two weeks ago!! If they had a location closer to me, I'd probably eat there 2-3 times a week!! Absolutely fabulous!! this review is NOT based on the food since we didnt actually GET any. I placed an order on-line while I was about 30 miles from this store. no problem! get to the store, store is pretty crowded, no problem, we've already placed our order 30 minutes ago. my husband goes in, pays, waits, waits, waits some more. now i'm pissed because i'm sitting outside in the truck with a puppy and it's now 20 minutes AFTER the time they said it would be ready. I call the store and speak to Nate, the manager and he says "they're super busy and that he's trying to get the order together but he had to stop to answer the phone to talk to him". oh, I get it..I prevented you from doing your job, got it. So he basically blamed me for me not getting my food instead of maybe just apologizing for their ineptness or maybe offering a discount for their poor job performance. But no, neither of those things happened. My husband cancelled our order, had them refund the $40+ and left the store. read more

I had heard mostly good things about this place in the few weeks it's been open so I gave it a try when I got the chance. The prices were HIGH, like higher than Tx road house or Outback high. The quality and portions did not match the price. I got the two meat plate ($15), STL ribs and brisket. Came with a serving of brisket fit for a child and ONE rib initially. I commented on the lonely rib sittuation and the waiter told me it was suppose to come with two, and she brought me out another one. I personally have never heard of ribs coming in less than 3's...(maybe that's just me). The sides were good, the salad was inordinately big. None of the sauces there on the table did it for me. Bottom line, I paid top dollar for kids menu servings. I feel like that meal was in the $7-8 range. Would probably give this place another shot, but my expectations will be low. From what I've seen, this place won't last in Gainesville. read more

My girlfriend and I came in Friday night. I ordered the Southern Pulled Pork. The waitress with purple hair brought me chopped brisket. I told her I ordered pulled pork. She said, "That is pulled pork." Pulled Pork is white with a pinkish tint. After she decided to bring some chopped brisket out to show me the difference, which there was none she finally went and fixed it. Her explanation was that they originally gave me an old batch and that's why it was brownish black. The New plate was fresh. This ruined my whole experience. Solid Texas BBQ, the baby back ribs with dry rub are the way to go, you can add sauces at will from the squeeze bottles on your table. Beers are huge and cheap, salad was half nachos but ample, mash potatoes and beans were solid, service was friendly top to bottom. Needed lots of food for a large family gathering so I had Rib Crib cater it. Ordering online was super easy, the food was delivered exactly on the day and time, the delivery person was very efficient, fast and friendly. To my surprise, they even provided bags of ICE and sliced lemons for the tea. There was more than enough food for everyone. The food was beyond delicious. Super flavorful pulled pork, sausage and brisket with perfectly cooked beans, mac 'n cheese, potatoes and a beautiful, fresh gigantic garden salad. Rib Crib also provided several containers of the most amazing barbecue sauce for the meat. They even provided very sturdy, well made and handsome plasticware and tongs for the vegetables and meat. Thick Texas Toast bread was included as well and so, so good. Everything was a huge hit and I cannot wait until Christmas so I can have Rib Crib cater it too. I love you, Rib Crib! read more

Not the best I have been here 3 times have had ribs twice and I can say I have had better. The last time we went I had a brisket plate I can get better brisket in Sanger for less money. As far as the sides the 1st time I had coleslaw I didn't care for it the other time I had a side salad which wasn't too bad.
