For a very long time my family and I haven't had good BBQ in Springfield. When randomly we decided to try RibCrib after how many years. And I gotta say it was some of the best bbq I've had ever. Delicious tender cuts of meat, amazing sauce to accent the food and sides and appetizers that were perfect to go with our food. Our server, Samantha was very attentive nice and had a great smile for us. We felt very welcome into the place and loved the feel of the overall lobby! The music, the lighting and just the overall excitement of getting to eat really good mouth watering BBQ. What more can you ask for?? 10/10 next time I'm going for those ribs! My past experience with "The Rib Crib", has kept me at bay, due to the quality of food, but not quality customer service and it became a hassle to order online. That was at least two, maybe three years ago last visited. However, most recently I had been visiting a few of the stores on the shared walk of the Rib Crib and been working two jobs, and I think we're two weeks into storm clean up, as well as damage control in all areas of Springfield. Some places worse than others and some far more worse than others. Any way's, I decided to give one of my once upon a time favorite places to visit one last try and chance, for old times sake! Well, I go in and I'm greeted by this lovely hostess, accommodating, nice and polite as can be. She definitely deserves 5 Stars, just for great customer service. Also, must be an entirely different Bar B Que cooking staff in the back of the house. Being, I was really impressed with the food quality. Both visits. My suggestions for a Sunday afternoon lunch, or an evening meal. Individual, family, or you're just in the area. I highly recommend this place. It is conveniently located. Right across from the Battlefield Mall and other plazas. Sequiota Park, Highway 65, and the Movie theater is to the east. Springfield Lake to the South, Meador Park is less than a mile away. And Hippos is on the same walk. So if you are coming or going, visiting the area, new to the area make a stop and place an order to go, or stay awhile. I am not one to cook in the summer time. The menu is very economical. That's my experience. And I usually don't handout 5 Stars. But I was impressed as well as surprised, by the quality of the Bar B Que. My hat goes off. . the service is good /brisket was tough and dry. When I brought it to their attention, they immediately brought out more, they said it was fresh off the smoker. It was very bland with no flavor and dry. This is the second time this has happened within a few weeks, seems that their food quality is going downhill. The ribs and turkey were excellent. Every Christmas we order meats from Rib Crib and every year it has excellent. However, this year I was extremely disappointed. I ordered hot links, chicken, sliced and chopped brisket. The hot links and chicken were good, but the brisket was not chopped or sliced, it was stringy shredded beef. In addition, no sauces were included. For right now I will have to think long and hard about ordering next year from here. Somewhere else may be getting my order. read more

I love Rib Crib! I grew up going to Rib Crib and had no idea only a few states have them. This is a great place for a family (or anyone for that matter) to have a meal on the cheap. Today, I ate at the Glenstone location during peak lunch time. Our service was adequate and food did not take long at all considering how busy it was. My nephews (5 and 7) absolutely love the Crib too. The kids' meals are cheap, large portion sizes and are served with ice cream for dessert. They also have mats to color and games to play while waiting for the meal. All four of us (two adults and two kids) ate for $34 (including tip). You really can't beat it. read more

Got a chicken fried steak, sliced Brisket plate, a grilled chicken and gruyere cheese sandwich, and a smokehouse chicken sandwich. The good! The waitress did a good job considering she was overloaded. The food came out hot. The sandwiches were the better items to order. The bad! The brisket was overdone and dry. The rest of the plate was meh! The chicken fried steak was a grease bomb! I doubt it weighed 9 oz. before cooking. At least until it was covered with an excessive amount of breading that was totally saturated with grease. My beading fell off of the steak, if that is what you'd call it! I measured the meat, and it was 1/4 inch thick and 4 1/2 inches across the rest was breading, empty of any steak whatsoever! The mashed red potatoes were o.k., and the cream gravy was o.k. My husband and I had never been to Rib Crib and we decided to hit the drive-thru on our way out of town one day. We had somewhere to be, hence why we chose the drive-thru, and 25 minutes later, our luke-warm, very unappetizing food was handed to us. Had we not paid as soon as we pulled up to the window, we would have left after 10 minutes. Nobody came to the window to apologize for the wait or say anything at all which tells me this must be the norm. The meat on our sandwiches were nothing but fat and the fries were nothing that you couldn't get out of the frozen fry section at Walmart. And not to mention, HOLY EXPENSIVE. Way overpriced. I wouldn't even pay 1/2 of what we paid for the food we received. Our food went to waste. As well as our time and money. Needless to say, we won't eat here or at any Rib Crib ever again. read more

I went there yesterday and got their smoked chicken salad and they gave me 3 slices of chicken that were rubbery, not tender at all and had no smoked flavor at all, and that was layed over a whole lot of salad, it's as if they poured out a whole bag of salad, and a sprinkle of corn and beans and some shredded cheese. It was awful, and I'm diabetic and am looking for low carb options so I can continue to eat out once in a while, but I definitely won't be going back there and wish I could get my money back. read more

The service was quick and efficient. The pulled pork was moist and good sized portion. It had a good flavor with the sauces on the side made it even better. The French fries were a coated fry that stayed crisp on the outside but soft in the center. The potato salad was not a mustard or vinegar salad. It was sweet and creamy. We visited around 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon. The food was better than average but the wait for the food was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy tooooooooo long!!! We even had to hunt our waiter down for the bill. The manager stopped by and I shared that it was a long wait for our meal. He said they are currently short-staffed but working on that. Two stars is being generous here. Let me first state that i am rarely negative on Yelp. However this business is getting a nice serving of tough love. First things first, a drive thru is meant for expediant service, not a lengthy wait time. 25 minutes waiting in the drive thru is absolutely ludicrous, but i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I might add also that had the cashier not taken our money very quickly my impatience would have gotten the best of me and we would've left. Secondly, the food was less than mediocre. The meat (pulled pork) was overly fatty and not desirable whatsoever. On more than one occasion i had to consciously think about keeping my food down. The "seasoned fries" were so bland that once again theyp were undesirable. One thing that was positive about my experience was after i left the drive thru i called the manager, Amanda, and she was very pleasant. She offered to make it up to us and that 25 minutes in the drive thru was not acceptable for anyone. So based off my experience i very highly doubt i will ever give my business to Rib Crib again. read more

I have been to Rib Crib many many times and have never had anything that wasnt delicious. I have mainly eaten the smokin chicken nachos, smokestack sandwich with fries and the super spud. The meats here have really nice smokey flavor and have always been tender. This location is conveniently on Glenstone and it has a drive through! Love it! read more

First let me say our waitress was very nice; no complaints regarding service. The food however is just mediocre. We spilt a three meat plate. The pulled pork was dry and flavorless. Had to bury it with sauce to give it some taste. The St Louis rib was tinder. That's the only good thing about it. Again hardly any flavor. Not sure what they dry rub it with, but they need to use more. Now the Hot Link was actually good. It was moist and had some spice to it. So I just cannot recommend this place. Rib Crib wasn't awful...but considering the competition in town, it's a bit overpriced and they should do something to set themselves apart.

My wife and I visited this establishment this evening. Waitress that was taking care of us came to get the drink order. At this point in time I had also put in an order for an appetizer. 10minutes go by and i finally get the beer I had ordered. another ten minutees go by and our entree order arrives. At no time did we recieve the appetizer order that was put in when we ordered drinks I asked the waitress about the appetizer order and was told that she had forgot to put it in. She told us that she would bring them out now and at no charge to us. I declined. and we ate in peace. Upon leaving my wife felt it neccessary to talk with a manager about the issue. After speaking with the manager, my wife was heading for the door and overheard the waitress complaining about our lack of tip and how we never alerted her to any problems. For an employee to complain about the lack of tip in front of any customer much less the one that you think offended you displays lack of character. The 73 cents you were tipped was what we thought of the attentiveness you showed us. For you to make the mistake and then throw stones at your customers for your short comings has got me dumbfounded. I would suggest anyone looking to visit this establishment have second thoughts. read more

I love barbecue and so I've been curious about this place for quite some time having never eaten there. I had the all you can eat ribs my wife the single portion and my daughter a caesar salad. To the ribs, I really felt like they were seasoned far too heavily and even overcooked if that's possible? Actually I'd give the food four stars but what brought it down was the price, for three of us to go out and eat it was $50 which seemed like a lot to me. Went to Rib Crib because we wanted sliced brisket, the waitress came over & took our drink orders, then told us they were out of brisket. Ok, so I'll have chicken, oh sorry, we are out of chicken. Ok... then I'll have the spud. Guess what, they were also out of spuds. It was 6:20 p.m. and they're already out of everything? I can't tell you how many times we've been there when they were out of brisket, but how can they be out of everything? We told the waitress we were leaving, she said she perfectly understood.
