My retirement group ate here. We had excellent service and the food was great. I had the salad bar and a small steak. Both were outstanding.

Don't come here expecting big city steakhouse quality, but it's a great place for a small town in NC. Probably one of the best options in town/. You order a ribeye by weight and I watched them cut the steak from the window into the kitchen. Cooked perfectly rare/medium rare as I like it. Not Prime but good enough for the price and would bring me back if I'm ever back in town. Came with two sides which can be their decent sized salad bar. Service was attentive and very friendly. Skylar was phenomenal. So attentive, so friendly. We've been here 3 times, this was the best experience thanks to Skylar. AND our steaks were good. My sweet potato was perfect. The cook came around and interacted with us a couple of times and I thought that was really nice. As always, salad bar was stocked and fresh (maybe boiled eggs could've looked a little better, they were smushed). But overall, we enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to returning. read more

Had a wonderful meal tonight at Ribeyes. We had a party of ten and were seated right away when they opened. I ordered the early bird porkchop $14 with salad bar,. I personally think it is the best thing on the menu. I love the flavor. I missed not seeing potato salad on the salad bar but other than that it was very well stocked. I had a fully loaded bake potato which was good for an additional 1.99. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Waitress was attentive. Restaurant was clean. Everyone was friendly. 5 stars from this girl. What a great dinner we just had at Ribeyes in Mount Olive, NC! It is in a charming old building on the main business street of downtown. Not a lot of businesses left, but this is an excellent restaurant. The wait staff was a group of incredibly friendly young people who really made us feel welcome in a relaxed sort of way. Their outdoor seating area is wonderful! It was a hot day, but a gentle breeze flowed through the patio. And I was able to have my little dog with me! We didn't try their steaks, but I had the salmon and my buddy had the crabcakes. Delicious food! And they have a salad bar, which is sort of an old-fashioned steakhouse thing, but I really like it. Had high expectations but was disappointed the moment I walked in because of the way the older caucasian ple looked at us. We waited for a table for what seemed forever until I called a waitress over and asked for a table (after she had seen us waiting and never acknowledged us). Was so excited to celebrate my birthday there but was very disappointed in the customer service. We arrived at 4pm and told to take any available seat. We found a table that appeared to not have been taken. When we went to sit down a waitress "snapped" at us that it was taken. We then spent several moments looking for a table but all the other tables were reserved other than the large round tables. Another waitress yelled across the room to take one of the large tables. It was very embarrassing and frustrating. As a result we politely left and took our business down the road. I recommend the staff take a course in common courtesy and have the customers seated to avoid any future confusion. read more

My wife and I stopped there for hopefully a decent steak. The cook came out and asked how we wanted our ribeye. I asked for medium. I received my steak well done. When I looked at this piece of meat I realized why, it was as thick as the sole of a shoe. It was seasoned way too much. The wait staff arrived to take our order and then to give us our check. This place, and its great staff, rescued my Labor Day! I had just finished with three hours of car tire repair (long, long non-steak-related story) that left me tired, hot, depressed. I decided that the fast-food places along 117 were just not going to cut it and that I deserved a nice, sit-down meal. So I turned to Yelp for help, and as it usually does, it saved me. Ribeyes Steakhouse was listed but had no reviews, a travesty I intend to fit here. However, it had the word 'Ribeyes' in the name so I was willing to roll the dice ... and came up a winner! Located on Center Street, in a quaint section of Mount Olive that people really should see more of, it is off the beaten trail of most tourists zooming up and down 117 but was an oasis of calm, good service, and good food. The menu is, thankfully, heavy on the ribeye with many cuts of different sizes available that come with choice of potato (baked, baked sweet, or fries), Texas toast (meh), and one of the better salad bars I've been to (included smoked oysters and sardines!). All of this was explained to me by my waitress who was prompt, efficient, and attentive without being TOO attentive. The steak choices, however, were explained to me by the grillmaster who came from the kitchen to lovingly describe the different cuts. Together we selected a great 8oz ribeye, medium rare. And it was as close to perfect as I could have hoped for. Thick cut and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Well marbled without being too fatty (I believe it was trimmed). And tender as all get out. I will grant you that my expectations were low, but this was a great steak in anybody's book. Anyway, I came in sad and left full and happy. And that's the mark of an excellent restaurant. Ribeyes is a small chain of steakhouses in North Carolina. I think the Mount Olive steakhouse is the chain's newest location. The Decor - 4 Stars, Customer Service - 4 Stars, Cleanliness - 4 Stars, Food Quality - 4 Stars. The lunch specials are reasonably priced, satisfying and delicious. I am a "big city" girl. So, to my surprise, I was pleased to find a nice spot that my colleagues and I could enjoy a nice lunch without cutting too deep into the budget. The salmon sandwich is AWESOME. I have had it three days (missed yesterday). The sweet potatoes are also great. My friends said the burgers were really good also. But, the mainstay of this establishment is probably the salad bar. The salad bar was very pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. All of the ingredients were fresh and plentiful. If you are looking for a good quality, reasonably priced lunch that will fill your tummy - Ribeyes is your place! Simply because of the food quality, price point and customer service, I felt compelled to share this review. While in town for business, this place was recommended as a good place for dinner. So, tonight I popped in to grab a bite to eat. The service was excellent and the food was much better than I expected. I ordered a tuna steak rare with a baked sweet potato and salad. I am always a little dubious about salad bars, but theirs was very fresh and filled with everything you could possibly want to add to your salad. I was also a little afraid that my tuna would be overcooked, but it was seared on the outside and nice and rare inside. Way to go guys! So, if you find yourself in Mt. I'm so glad that Ribeyes is in town! I've been here twice now since moving from NYC, and I am very impressed. They do not have an extensive menu, but they do everything on it very well. The decor is simple and inviting with exposed brick and paintings for purchase displayed. To start, the salad bar is a must. Everything is very fresh (no need to pick around the bowl of salad for good pieces) and there are lots of options. I would go just for the salad bar alone. So far I've had the steaks with baked potato and sweet potato, and the scallops with steamed veggies. Everything is cooked perfectly and really tasty. Simple, straight forward, done to perfection. Each meal also comes with Texas toast. Portion size is enough to fill you up but not overstuff. The last time I was there, my boyfriend and I decided to get dessert - cheesecake and a peanut butter chocolate cake. They were small, but free! I don't know any other restaurant that does that. The service here is always good and everyone is very friendly. I will definitely visit this place regularly. They also have a bar upstairs which I can't wait to try out next. It looks like they have some pretty good beer choices on tap. AND I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can enjoy their outdoor patio. read more

The only pretty decent restaurant in Mt. Olive. Very limited menu (I've been here during lunch both times so I'm not really sure whether they have a dinner menu). The first time I was there I ordered grilled salmon; it was overcooked. Eating overcooked salmon tastes like eating tuna. Salmon should not be flaky. It came with a slice of buttered loaf (believe it or not) and your choice of a side. The next time I ordered grilled shrimp. Came with a loaf! How tacky is that??? Can't they at least serve better bread to make them appear...classy? In fairness, the skewered shrimp actually taste good. In summary, this is the only sit-down restaurant in Mt. Olive so don't expect much. Service is good, however. read more

What a delicious find! We are in Mt Olive and can't get home because of Hurricane Florence. Our hotel had a list of recommended restaurants and we decided to try this one. Great decision. They had the best salad I've ever had, with so many choices and everything was so fresh. I ordered the chicken wrap. It was perfect with honey mustard on the side. My husband ordered the 4 oz ribeye. My hamburger and fries were good but the fried chicken lacked those seasonings that your grandma with the flabby arms throws in there. Yeah, those wings were terrible. I'm from NC and was in town visiting family and was excited to try this place and was highly disappointed. Food was great but service was very very poor. We had our Christmas party their at same time another large party was there. We had 1 waitress per party while downstairs had 4-5 waitresses handling 10-12 tables and not even half those had guest. This falls on management not the waitstaff but you would think that the parties would have at least 2 waitresses per party. This is a nice sit down restaurant in Mount Olive. The food was timely, and the staff was very courteous. Besides talking with our server, the gentleman, either the manager or chef came out and had a conversation with us and ask us how our food was. The food was well made, but I had to give it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price, as the quality was not enough to warrant the price in my experiences, however the added salad bar was a nice bonus. I recommend to anyone for a sit down environment. The restaurant was not packed as we were the only ones in there at the time. Due to the price and the average annual income of Mount Olive, I would consider this one of the higher end eateries in this community. read more

Is Ribeye's a five star restaurant? Heck no, but I imagine it is for Mt. Olive Nc! We found Ribeye's on Yelp and stopped while passing through on a trip to the beach. We were not disappointed. I had an early bird 4 oz ribeye with a salad bar. The steak was seasoned well and prepared a perfect medium rare. The salad bar was fresh and had goodies like smoked oysters and chopped chives that I put on my baked potato. My hubby had delicious salmon that was cooked perfectly and seasoned deliciously!
