At 7:30am and 30 minutes before the Oakland half marathon you'd think I was thinking about the race or a PR or even some Gu jels or powerbars. F**k that. I was thinking ribs. See: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/4470641981_0032a3a817_o.jpg Thank you so much for the post-race meal. It's all I could think about the whole race. The ribs were magical.

Sliced pork and hot link combo

Pretty good stuff! Tried their sliced pork and hot links today. $18.50 for their two meat combo. It comes with potato salad and a roll. They give you a big handful of each meat and fill up the to-go box. I'll probably try their pork ribs and sweet tea next time. Get to the stadium early to avoid the long lines. Even though this costs 2x the price of a hotdog or burger meal, it was well worth it!

Ribs n Things has moved next door from Oracle to O.co. They also have a storefront in Hayward, which doesn't have a good yelp rating. I wonder why, because I thought it was good!! If you love really sweet bbq sauce, you will like Ribs n Things. If you think it is expensive, it's because it is, but everything at a sporting event has a premium on it. Get the value deck seats and get a $6 credit. We were able to get a 1-side order plus tri tip sandwich for 11 bucks. The seats are not good but, as my little 6 year old nephew said, "WOW, you can see EVERYTHING from up here!"

    Ribs and Things - Outside Sec 119 & 120 - Oracle Arena

There isn't anything better than watching a good Warriors game and chowing down on a plate of quality BBQ from the Ribs and Things stand outside Section 119 & 120 at the Oracle Arena. Who would pay $8 for a hot dog when you get a heap of good BBQ with a side of potato salad and bread for $10.50? Read my original review for all the specifics. The one thing I have to add is that a dinner plate with one meat is $10.50 while the two meat combo is $16.50. You get about the same amount of meat with both plates, the only difference is that you get two types and get charged $6 more with the two-way combo. So just get the other person you're with to order a different meat and share. The sliced pork is still my favorite, but yesterday I was able to try the pork ribs. Tender on the inside, and smokey on the outside. Can't beat it. Just ask Mikey (see pics). Side note: If you can't make it to the Arena for their eats I hear they have an actual restaurant in Hayward. But from the reviews it doesn't sound that great. Go figure. I'll stick to their red stand at the Oracle. MUST HAVE: The sliced pork plate topped with... well, actually swimming in a sea of their sweet, savory BBQ sauce with some grubbin' potato salad and bread to sop up all the saucey goodness. Add an ice cold 22oz. from a nearby stand. Do I hear an echo...?

I have been telling my friend about how satisfying and delicious the food at Horn BBQ is, but every…read moretime we came by the restaurant was closed. Finally, we were so excited to see it was open on a Saturday an we came in for lunch. To order you need to scan the QR code and pay plus tip before a single person spoke to us or offered us service. From the menu we saw they were out of beef ribs, smoked chicken, rib tips, no peach cobbler, no banana pudding and no kool aid. I come for their brisket and my friend loves ribs so we went ahead and ordered combo plates to share. Mine was the brisket with a side of collard greens, she had the pork ribs, a hotlink with a side of Mac-n-cheese, & cornbread. For drinks we had lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. I'm not sure what has happened over the last few months but the quality of the food, the service and the expectation to pay and tip up front were very disappointing. The greens, Mac cheese, brisket and ribs were cold. The hotlink wasn't BBQ'ed it was pan fried. Everything tasted like warmed up leftovers and we will not return. For 2 of us to eat it came to $100 and we were not satisfied. The dining room is an attractive space, it was completely empty. The staff was unclear about what we ordered, had to be told to bring our drinks, bartender is also working as server and apologized for his uncertainty. I suggest this restaurant hire and train more staff if they intend to keep their doors open.

Because they always always always ran out of stuff! I can't tell you how many times I came and they had no HOT LINKS! NO CHICKEN! NO BRISKET!! When a place like this is so good and has so much potential it's truly soooooo disappointing!! I honestly think chef Matt horn needs to just give it up! Both his locations are closed now and it's not fair to put out such good food and then close out of no where! I'm done

Everett and Jones once had a location in Sacramento many years ago and I used to visit often. I loved their barbecue sauce and still buy it in stores when available. I had that in mind when telling my family, 'Let's go!" I was disappointed with the food when we arrived. The first thing I noticed when our food came out was that the barbecue sauce wasn't as thick as I remembered, it was very runny, it's didn't stick to the mean. I also saw a lot of fat on the ribs, but thought maybe the taste would be good, so we prayed and ate. Unfortunately, the ribs were fatty and tough to find good meat. I also tried the brisket, which was a little fatty but VERY good. I ordered mac and cheese and greens as sides, but didn't like either. The mac and cheese had a bit of charred cheese on top (which I love), but I wasn't impressed afterward. My friend's hot link had zero flavor, just texture, which was strange. I was embarrassed because I had bragged about how hot the links were! Sike! Everyone at the table enjoyed the sweet cornbread. We also loved the mango lemonade. The desserts were outstanding: caramel cake, key lime pie, and pecan sweet potato pie. I highly recommend those! I'd visit again but skip the ribs and links. As a family member said, 'Don't eat your leftovers alone--you might need someone to do the Heimlich if you choke on the fat." jkjk
