If you're looking for a good mobile carwash within the Los Angeles area (in my case, Sun Valley), then you're already at the right Yelp page! First off, I got to work not planning to wash my filthy SUV. It's a 7-seater Volvo XC90. Ricardo and his team happened to be washing about 10 cars when I get into work so they're already busy. However, he was kind enough to add my SUV into their tight schedule considering its size, and I was thankful for that. So here are my two takes: Customer Service and Quality.. Customer Service: Ricardo, as mentioned, took my car last minute amid his busy schedule that day. Regardless, he was friendly and communicative. I asked him his process of a simple wash (interior/exterior) and explained it to me step-by-step. That gave me peace of mind as I take care of my cars as if they were my babies. Quality: My car was filthy to begin with so any type of carwash is better than the current state; however, I am not taking away anything from his team's service. I personally think that they did an amazing job both exterior and interior! Yes, the car is squeaky clean and I can finally see the metallic flakes again on that silver paint, but one step that he did not miss is making sure that there are no dry watermark residue all-around the paint and windows (I think that's one thing that "other" carwash services miss, but not this one!). Wheels and tires are also cleaned-- tires topped with tire shine. Lastly, the interior vacuumed. I bring two dogs with my all the time and one of them is an Australian Shepherd (these dogs shed like crazy and their hair gets stuck in between the weird floor fabric). He made sure that these are gone! Overall, he did a superb job cleaning my SUV. He did a professional, high-quality job and I would totally use his services again. I would even recommend his services to my friends and colleagues! P.S. I texted Ricardo the morning that I wanted to have my car detailed, so it was very short notice for Ricardo and his team. After a few texts back and forth I had an appointment set up for later that same morning! My car (9th Gen Honda Civic) had some serious bug, dirt, and debris all over the outside. Additionally, I had lovely spattering of now-hardened cement from a truck that passed me on the 10 all over my right rear quarter panel and trunk. The detailer, Edwin arrived and I showed him all around and advised as to where he could park the car to complete the detailing. Overall a solid wash. $50 for a wash is pretty steep, but you're paying for the technique/method of wash. Pressure washer, foam cannon, two bucket method, microfiber drying - that's what most, if not all, these mobile vendors do/use throughout the wash process. These are important b/c your car is less likely to suffer paint damage (swirls, marks) during a wash. You're not going to get that at a typical drive up car wash, which is why they only charge $20-$25. Ricardo's a great resource and very friendly as well. I'm well acquainted with the whole car detailing business/process so it was easy to converse with him about different sub components of the whole topic. He's very willing to help and seems passionate about his business. If you're the type that cares about your car's paint, these washes are worth it in the long run. If you're indifferent, then just use the traditional drive up washes, but definitely avoid machine washes. read more

Ricardo is the real deal! I was incredibly frustrated with how Tesla service had destroyed the paint of my Model 3 and marred it with swirls. I went looking on Yelp and found Ricardo and I'm glad I did! Ricardo spent hours and hours working on the car correcting the paint and giving me a lot of new insight into how much is really involved in making the paint look perfect. Afterwards he applied a ceramic coating and now the car almost doesn't even get dirty. I drove from LA to San Diego and back and save for a few bug splatters you would never know. Before the coating every time I would go the car would get very dirty. The best part about Ricardo is he is an hardworking and above all honest guy. His prices are incredibly good compared to the competition and he didn't try to nickle and dime me for anything even though I drive a Tesla (unlike almost every other detailer I talked to). Detailing done right Stellar work by Ricardo's Mobile Detail. This is just another example of a small team that's passionate about their work and knows what they're doing. We had a very tricky case: satin black wrap after traveling 1000 miles to California. On top of that - several-month-old hard water stains all over the wrap and windows. When I first approached Angel, he was very straightforward with me and said that he couldn't give me a quote without looking at the vehicle first and doing some tests. After that, we scheduled the appointment. Following the initial wash and fixing the most of aesthetics issues, he explained that some spots were impossible to fix due to acid staying for too long, but additional coating would mask them and protect the whole wrap from further damage. 4 hours later we took the car back, and it was great. He also came up with an idea to prepare a small cleaning kit so we could remove hard-to-get hard water stains on the windshield manually once we're back home. Social aspect: from my first and second impressions, Angel is very knowledgeable, straight-to-the-point, but also a kind person that's pleasant to be around. Answered all our questions and gave helpful advice. This is a very professional mobile detailing service. My car, a black 2011 Lexus CT, required some serious polishing work after a poorly done body shop repair that left swirls in the paint on one side. Edvin from Ricardo's Mobile Detail came through and got to work. After putting some time in with an orbital buffer and some polish, he showed me the results BEFORE adding a glaze or sealant. It looked very good. This is important - once a glaze and sealant are put on, scratches are cosmetically hidden away and hard for a customer to see. I've heard of plenty of friends going to get a detail, come away happy, but be disappointed a month or two later after the wax and glaze wear off and the scratches are exposed. This is the first time I've worked with Ricardo's Detailing Service, and am happy so far. Ricardo showed up on time and went through the car (Yukon XL Denali) with me. He showed me damage and other conditions that I never even noticed. When I asked about some paint detailing, he even said he'd buff out a noticeable flaw for no extra charge with the tools he had on hand (though as a consumer, you shouldn't EXPECT the same... just my experience with him...). Him and his guy got to work, cleaned every part of my car, inside and out. When he was done, he showed me what couldn't be done that day paint detail wise, and even took down my VIN so he could get a paint match for a detailing session we booked for a couple weeks from now. He also took out my son's car seat for cleaning, and non judgmentally told me he installed it even tighter since he thought it was a bit loose. What a guy! Very humble and honest. Doesn't up-sell and clearly cares about cars. When you go to a carwash, you get a basic wash from a bunch of guys who don't give a crap and just need a paycheck.
