The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the pizza is on the expensive side (over $20 for a family size pizza) and on RARE occasions the pizza either doesn't have enough sauce or is overseasoned. We never go out for pizza but my husband loves it and he worked all weekend, so we went to Ricardos. The waitress was really nice, but I was very annoyed by the bus boy and the hostess. We asked them both what kind of 3 Sheeps beer they had on tap and both of them said, "i don't know" and walked away. What? They couldn't ask the bartender or another waitress? Really poor training. And the fish tank was filthy, and they sat us right next to it. The food was okay. Certainly not good enough to make us want to go back. Also very loud. Pizza is decent, not great. There isn't much sauce on it, which is a big part of a good pizza in my opinion. It's a little on the expensive side as well. Appalling customer service. Ricardos does not care if you are finished ordering drinks or desert. They do not care if you would like to continue spending money in their restaurant, you have a time limit at your table and they will let you know when it's up. It doesn't matter that there was a booth and two tables available and 8pm with no one waiting, my group of four was asked to vacate our table and go to the bar. Had there been a wait or a crowd we would have completely understood but this was uncalled for. We are not children and we make a conscious effort to ensure that we make it financially worth the establishments time and the waitresses time to allow us to be where we are. Ricardo's Pizza does the kind of volume that means fresh food is on your plate. We have lived in Greendale for 20 years, and Ricardo's has been our favorite pizza place since then. Yes, Milwaukee does have some other great places to find pizza, but Ricardo's is in the heart of the village, and those who live nearby know how great the food is. I have had just about everything on the menu, but we always go back to their pizza. If you are in the mood for salad, their spinich salad is great. The deluxe pizza with sausage is probably their best, but you may want to try their taco, or hamburger pizza. They really are "Taco" and "Hamburger" pizzas. I'm talking a taco on pizza dough or a hamburger constructed on pizza dough. Yum. Yes, the resturant is a bit cozy, but I like that feel. If I were reviewing just the food I would rate it higher. I've had the food and the takeout has always been good. I eat in the other night and wow was the service bad. Gave our drink order that came in two separate trips 10 minutes apart. After being there 25 minutes they finally came to take our order. We asked for separate checks and were told they can't do that. They could however split the toppings on a pizza into halves. I got the side to my entree 20 minutes before the entree ever showed up. Trying to get any service was nearly impossible. When the bill came they added 18% gratuity for our party of 6. No wonder she wouldn't do separate checks. I will not be going back any time soon. read more

Great pizza, excellent wings! The only problem I have with this place is the pricing. It is way way overpriced, especially the pizza. I would highly recommend the wings when they have their wing special. The wings are covered in the right amount of sauce, cooked perfect so they're not dried out and best of all, they're nice and big! We will be back for the wings, but not for the pizza. We've found Rounding Third in Franklin to be our go to place for pizza. Nice Italian sausage even for this non-sausage lover and lots of cheese. Way better deal for the price, just not as much of a selection of toppings as Ricardo's. Ricardo's has great specialty pizzas, just be ready to pay more for it. read more

Love the food - service, not so much. We were there the other night for a dinner for 6 of us. We were promptly seated, and our waitress took drink orders, and our drinks arrived pretty quickly. After that - we waited. and waited. And waited about 15 minutes before she came back take our order. Before we ordered, we had asked if it was possible to split the check. We were answered with a pretty gruff NO. (no explanation as to why, she was pretty rude about it). During dinner, she never came back to check on us or to refresh our drinks. And after dropping off our bill, another HUGE span of time passed before she picked it up. For THIS i paid a mandatory 18% gratuity? Ricardo's food is GREAT, we really love it, high quality, and tasty. But for as crowded as it was, they need more waitstaff, and/or get better help. Seriously. This is not the first time we've had bad/slow service there. Not a one-time occurrence. I was mad enough this time to finally write about it. This restaurant could easy have a 5-star rating with better service. read more

Hands down best pizza I've ever had! Fantastic appetizers- especially the onion straws. Another favorite is the Caesar salad with grilled chicken- tender and delicious and the dressing is perfectly tangy. But you can't go here without trying the pizza- it's absolutely to die for. Did a phone order for pickup at the restaurant. Arrived at approx. scheduled time, paid in cash and was told the pizza would be ready in about 5 min. After waiting about 10+ min. the person at the register told me they somehow lost my order and my pizza was never even made. She stated that happens sometimes when they get busy. I had no intention of waiting another 25 min for my food, so I asked for my money back. She agreed and said I had to take a gift card. I declined, saying I don't plan on coming back here and I want my cash back. She had to get approval from the mgr to give me my cash back. Very disappointing service. read more

WOW, what expensive pizza. We stopped here one night and couldn't believe the prices, especially for what we ordered. My rule of thumb for pizza prices is it should be about a dollar per inch more/less. Ricardo's goes way over that - and their pie sizes are an inch shorter than most places 13, 15 and 17. Yet the cost ranges from $19-$26. Way too much, Ricardo's. Apparently everyone in Greendale can afford that. read more

There are so many more places in this great city to spend your money for a great pizza - Klasianas is better and what are they? We ordered apps, drinks, food more drinks and would have love to have had another drink and possibly dessert but alas before we were asked is there anything else we were given the bill. Then before we could even get it paid we were asked to leave the table but invited to go to the bar, oh wait but there are no seats at the bar. I just moved to Wisconsin and I found this place on Yelp. My husband Loves the place I'm still on the fence with them. The pizza in my opinion is good but not amazing especially for the prices. I recently attended Ricardo's in Greendale because I had been hearing about their wonderful food and service, and I wanted to try it out for myself. I went on a Monday night and to my surprise there was actually a decent amount of people there. My family was seated almost immediately by a cheerful waitress, whose happy attitude would be carried on by all of her co-workers throughout the night. I very much enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as it gave me the feel of being at home even though I was with about forty other people. For an entree I chose the meat ravioli, which was a very good dish. The seasonings added to both the meat and the sauces were quite enchanting and complemented each other very well. Overall, the ravioli was quite filling and tasted very delicious, but I do not believe it was worth the $10.25 I was charged for it. Due to a recommendation from my waitress, I ordered the cookies and cream truffle for dessert. Again the food was very good but I did not believe it should have cost as much as it did. As a whole, my experience was a very pleasurable one, with my only complaint being the price of the food. I would gladly return to Ricardo's, but only on a special occasion. read more

Average burgers and pizza. Pizza buffet is a decent deal, although you need to get in there early to get a seat. Selections get grabbed from buffet pretty quickly, faster than kitchen can keep up, at least for the selections people apparently want to eat.. Average pizza, is definitely neither hand tossed, nor hand rolled. A nice family place. Burgers are average, used to be better. Food priced about right for area, considering this is a bedroom community with a lot of families. Nothing special, really. Low end wines, that are way over priced. Not enough disabled parking, not enough parking period on a weekend. You may end up standing in the doorway waiting for a table, so if it bothers you to eat your food with hungry diners glaring at you, this is the wrong place. First off I would like to say the food here is very good. I have been coming here for years since I was a child over 25 years. We have had many birthday, anniversary, and graduation dinners here. Monthly some of my great friends and I get together for dinner and I thought this would be the ideal spot. We are always looking for a place where we can relax, have some great food, and enjoy each others company. We enjoyed our drinks, appetizers, and meals. We were given the bill by our waitress who did not offer us dessert or refill our beverages and said whenever you are ready. We continued on with our conversations and were rudely approached by I believe the hostess, who may have possibly been the manager, asking us to leave our table and sit at the bar because others were waiting to eat. We would have gladly moved however there were not even four seats together at the bar. Perhaps she could have disturbed someone else's night out to ask them to move down. At this point it is 8:00 and not restaurant rush hour there are multiple tables open in the restaurant and no one standing waiting for seating. If you have been there before you know how there is limited space inside and it was no where close to how busy I have seen it. We were all in such shock we instead decided it would be best for us to just leave. I am a strong supporter of small local businesses, my parents have their own business so I know how important customer service is. The customer service we received tonight was completely appalling, not to mention embarrassing since it was my suggestion to go to Ricardo's. I think in the future I will just get my food to go and hope that if this particular employee is management they get her some extra training on etiquette and customer service! read more
