The reviews looked solid, and honestly, anything with "BBQ" in the name is going to grab my attention, so I decided to give it a try. I'm really glad I did. I ordered the Large 2 Protein & 5 Cold Toppings bowl with smoked brisket and picanha, plus a smaller brisket bowl with 3 cold toppings. The toppings were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want in a quality bowl. The real standout, though, was the meat. The smoked brisket was incredibly tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The picanha was equally impressive--it honestly made me want to head to a Brazilian steakhouse. You can tell they use high-quality meat and prepare it with care. Overall, this was a fantastic meal. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and excellent barbecue. Definitely a 5/5, and I'll absolutely be ordering from here again.

We really liked the brisket, nice burnt ends, moist and a good crust of seasoning. Their BBQ sauces are full of flavor and a little goes a long way. The atmosphere of the restaurant is chill with picnic tables and a small market to buy various sauces, side, dessert... They offer a happy hour for beer. I didn't try the happy hour but something to consider if you want a beer with your BBQ. They also offer Latin inspired bowls with rice/ veggies and choice of meat. Customer service has been great both times I went. In my opinion it's currently the best BBQ in the area. It's not your typical southern style but they offer typical pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Wish they had collard greens! Get their app and you get $5 off your first order. Would be great to visit the restaurant with a group and gather around the picnic tables.

The food is really good. I had a burger and my spouse had a salad. We also shared some apps. Their food is elevated American. I was looking forward to their carrots, but those are no longer on the menu. Server was sweet and on top of everything even though it was busy busy busy. The space was exactly what we were looking for. It was private, beautiful, and perfect for networking and conversation. From the very beginning, Nicole, the Group Sales Director, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was kind, responsive, and patient with the many questions we had while planning our event. She made the entire booking process seamless and stress-free. We preordered shareables for our guests, and everything came out perfectly. What really stood out was the staff's attention to detail. They even asked if we'd like to keep some of the food under the warming lamps until more guests arrived before bringing it out. That level of thoughtfulness truly went above and beyond. Our server, Phillip, was fantastic as well. He managed all of our guests' individual orders on his own while remaining friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the event. We arrived early to decorate, and the team couldn't have been more accommodating. They provided us with a speaker so we could play music and even came to the rescue by lending us markers and tape after we realized we had forgotten ours. Those small gestures made a big difference. And now, the food... Absolutely incredible! The vodka margherita flatbread was, without a doubt, one of the best flatbreads I've ever had. It was SO good. The spinach dip was equally delicious, and every dish we ordered received compliments from our guests. The cocktails were just as impressive and perfectly complemented the meal. Everything exceeded our expectations, and our event couldn't have gone more smoothly. I'm already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu because if what we had is any indication, it's going to be another fantastic experience. A huge thank you to Nicole and the entire Dear Olivia team for making our event such a success. I highly recommend Dear Olivia Bar & Kitchen, whether you're planning a private gathering or simply looking for a great meal and drinks. We'll definitely be back!

A restaurant that serves seafood and wings?…read more I'll admit it... I walked in a little skeptical. It felt like one of those menus that couldn't decide what it wanted to be when it grew up. So I did what any reasonable person would do. I ordered both. Before I even get to the food, I have to give a shout-out to the two young men working behind the counter. They were incredibly friendly, genuinely helpful, and steered me toward a combination that turned out to be a great choice. Good service doesn't always happen at casual restaurants, but these guys made a terrific first impression. Now, about that fryer... Whoever was running it knew exactly what they were doing. The batter on the fish was light, crispy, and delicate without burying the fish underneath. The fish itself was cooked perfectly. The wings were also very good, the fries were crisp, and the whole meal delivered exactly what comfort food is supposed to deliver. The shrimp? It felt a little like the forgotten middle child. Perfectly fine, but overshadowed by everything else on the plate. My only real criticism is that the food may have been a touch heavy on the salt. Then again, I'd rather reach for my drink than wonder if the kitchen forgot to season the food altogether. Hook's Catch isn't trying to be fine dining, and that's exactly why it works. It's the kind of place you go when you're craving something hot, crispy, and satisfying. And I have to admit, there's something oddly satisfying about a restaurant that refuses to make you choose between land and sea. Go with the fish. Go with the wings. Or do what I did and have them both.

When I picked up the bag, from the less than enthusiastic cashier, I found the bag to be very light. When I got home. I decided to weigh the protein contents if my meal. Photos are attached. Including breading and shrimp tails, the total seafood weight of my meal was 5.1 ounces! Guess that's more than the precooked weight if a quarter pounder, but it sure didn't seem like much. Both fish and shrimp were fine, and with the included slice of bread and large portion of tasty fries there was plenty to eat, albeit mostly fries and bread! I'll probably give them another try, but I'm not running back!

The ambiance is that of a rock club venue, complete with a drum set and music memorabilia covering the walls. Rock music videos were playing, ironically none of which were from Iron Maiden, lol. Our server, a tall blonde woman, was excellent. She helped us with food recommendations and was very attentive and sweet. My husband and I ordered the same combo platter of ribs and pulled pork. I also ordered the in-house beer called Trooper and it was delicious. The ribs fell off the bone and I loved the light char on them and the spicy bbq sauce was excellent. The steamed veggies were average and the macaroni and cheese had a wonderful flavor, though the cheese sauce was a bit thin. The pulled pork was a bit dry but also had great flavor. My husband got the onion rings which were good but oddly had an Italian seasoning flavor to it, maybe would have paired better with a marinara sauce. The Texas toast was typical of its kind. Overall, we would definitely return for the ribs and to try other parts of the menu.

He even called ahead to ask about a reservation and was told it wasn't necessary. We arrived around 7 PM and the restaurant was packed. There were two dirty tables right in front of us, while we noticed three open booths in the back. After waiting for a while, we were told they needed to clean the tables before seating us. We eventually had to specifically ask if we could sit at one of the available clean booths in the back. After we were seated and had a few minutes to look over the menu, our waitress informed us that they were out of chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and fries. Considering we came specifically for the ribs for Father's Day, this was extremely disappointing. Overall, the experience felt poorly managed. I understand busy nights happen, but running out of multiple main menu items and having trouble seating guests made the evening frustrating. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown.
