The food was good. We ordered the Chris fried rice, it was like a combination rice. It was delish we also got beef and broccoli, it was a tad bit spicy for me, but not too bad. We ordered medium spice with everything, but the beef and broccoli seemed to have a few more peppers in it. I was still able to eat it, but I'll get a lower level of spicy for that one next time. Overall the food was tasty. I'll eat there again. I think it's worth a try, just know what your spice level is. read more

Horrible service. Refused to accommodate a request for LESS beef in an entree due to dietary restrictions. Placed order through DoorDash where the red does not all you to add special requess - you must call, which I did. He argued with me about substituting and said they can't add beef. I'm not asking to add, I'm asking to reduce the meat. He put me on hold multiple times and stalled me until he came back and said the kitchen already made the entree. Absolutely ridiculous. Rice House is by far my favorite take out in Glenn Heights. I cook nearly everyday and I treat myself to Rice House almost biweekly or when I'm feeling too lazy to cook. Absolutely the worst at getting orders correct. Both my receipt AND the top of my order specify no carrots. I am allergic to them. Yet my order is chalked FULL of carrots. Their back of house staff continue to get this ABSOLUTELY WRONG! This will be the LAST time ever ordering form this place. They can not process refunds unless you return to the store. Ridiculous. Some of the best fried rice I've had in a long time. I ordered the combination meat Chris fried rice with no spice. When my food arrived I was a little skeptical, because nothing about what was sitting In front of me looked anything like fried rice. It lacked a lot of color in my opinion.. However, fried or not .. The flavor was everything. There was a nice amount of the different meats (chicken , beef, pork, shrimp, etc ) . I probably could have requested more veggies just because I like veggies, but overall I was satisfied to the Max. I also ordered a large egg drop soup. I'm sure like at other restaurants the soups are pre made so requesting extra eggs in the egg drop soup is unlikely . , I still enjoyed the egg drop soup. I highly recommend this place. The Glenn Heights location USED to be my favorite place to get fried rice but not anymore. The last 3 visits over the last 3-4 months have been terrible. I even called to complain about the rice. BEWARE - FRAUDULENT CHARGES Came here often until I received fraudulent charges on my card. After disputing it with my bank I called the establishment multiple times before I was able to get ahold of a manager. Once I got ahold of them, they were nonchalant and denying it; I didn't want anything free, I was notifying them about the charges placed on my card. So ... we heard that this place delivered into parts of Midlothian and judging from the address, we thought perhaps it did to our house. The Chris Fried Rice really is excellent, good value and was delivered hot. The noodle expert in the family pronounced the Lo-Mein was spot on and the Orange Chicken lover - loved it. Like indicated, this was our 1st time and it was for delivery. I think our next time we will go to the restaurant so we can see the atmosphere, cleanliness etc. Plus perhaps see some of the appetizer options - the pot stickers and wings sound good - as do the cream cheese filled wontons. read more

Rice Box is losing their touch. I ordered the egg drop soup & it was soooo salty I couldn't eat it. I called Rice Box and the guy who answered. He didn't offer anything to me. I gave a big tip for the delivery. He just say "sorry" and blamed it on different morning cooks. I won't be returning to buy their food.
