I rally ever make comments about a restaurant experience but I felt it was necessary to mentioned--I will never/ever visit this restaurant again. I parked at the front of the building and was greeted with a sign stating Parking for Donut Customers Only in a public parking lot. I was a bit confused with which place to park because I really didn't know which restaurant was for Chinese food and which one was for the Donut place and ended up going into the Donuts place by accident and asked the clerk is their any reason why I can't park here to go to the restaurant next to you? The clerk said its ok for you to park their but only for two hours. I was a bit confused why she said what she said but I figured the owner of the established put it their for his customers to park only and decided this is probably a sign for me to not continue and just leave. However I decided maybe this is just a weird set of circumstances and decided to go inside the Chinese restaurant beside the Donut shop and was met with a older lady sweeping the kitchen floor that greeted me with absolutely no professionalism. All she said was, Yes? I proceeded to order a lunch item and decided instead to order a large entree and proceeded to hand her my card and she process my order practically threw the receipt on the counter and told me to "sign it!" Let me repeat Told me to "sign it!" I immediately said to her "no I'm not signing it, do you see how you threw the receipt and the pen on the counter?" The lady begin to scowl and I decided to have a seat at a table and wait for my food because I could see she was visibly upset at me for not signing the receipt. I listen to her for a brief 20 to 30 seconds telling me it's the policy for you to sign the receipt etc, etc... I proceeded to end the entire situation and stated to her to cancel my order and give me a refund. Once again she begin scowling more and said OK! OK, and went through the process with her credit card terminal to void the transaction and once it was complete and my voided receipt was printed up she again aggressively slammed the receipt on the counter. I asked her can you signed the voided receipt she looked at me and refused, I then responded, but according to you it's the policy that the customer must sign but you can do whatever you want and not sign the voided receipt. I then responded to her I will never come back to this place and she responded THANK YOU!!! As I was walking out the door and I responded your not welcome ma'am, and went down the street to Panda Express and purchase almost a identical meal $3 cheaper and I donated to their Children Network a $100 to rid myself of such a terrible experience in Desoto. I must say to each of you reading this message I've never ever received such poor service in my many years of living in this area. I really enjoy helping the community in which I reside but I will never go back to this place due to such rudeness. read more

Came here for wings over fried rice, it was about $14 and was ready in about 10 minutes. We decided to eat there even though it's definitely a to go spot. The wings and rice was exactly what I wanted. I was absolutely amazing. The service was okay nothing great. I also tried some lo mein and it was good. I'll definitely go back again. read more

On Oct. 25, 2025 I called in a pickup order for Hunan Beef. I told them when I got there that it was my 1st time trying the restaurant, that I was at the business next door earlier and saw them and decided to try it. I got the order and left. After maybe 3-4 bites the spiciness was overwhelming! I knew it was spicy when I ordered it but this was ridiculous. I returned and gave them the unfinished meal back and told the woman up front that it was just too spicy. She was unpleasant in her rude response, i couldn't understand what she said to me and I ordered a different dish but all she gave me was 10% off. I waited and when the meal was ready I told her that they knew it was my 1st time there and that their customer svc. was awful-I should have either gotten the replacement meal free or at least a better discount than 10%. As she was eating her food on Saturday evening, she said the food a strange taste to it. It didn't taste as good as it use to (years ago) During the night my mom got sick with food poisoning from Xins Chinese food. She was sick all day on Sunday. No, I didn't get sick because I didn't have any of their food. We used to order from Xins Garden Chinese years ago but we stop going due to the rudeness of the main cook (older man). Well, tried them at the beginning of the year (2024) and I got sick. So now months later on Saturday, June 15, 2024, mom wanted to give them a try which she ended regretting. Don't go to Xins Garden Chinese Restaurant you will go at your own risk. I am giving you fair warning!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! Came here during my lunch break. I ordered shrimp fried rice and soup. After the cashier put my money into register (and didn't give me my change) he proceeded to the kitchen to make my food. I said "sir, can you wash your hands" and he replies "yea". He continues cooking then the phone rings, he leaves the kitchen, touches and answers the phone, touches his computer screen then goes back into the kitchen to cook. The 5 stars is for customer service I will admit the first time I had Xin about 4 years ago I wasn't really impressed. There was a young girl working the counter and she wasn't the most customer friendly per I've ever met. I decided to give it a go again today...the food was fresh, hot and the portions were huge. The flavor of the food could use a pick me up, but the Chinese food craving I had was satisfied. The man behind the counter..I'm guessing the owner, was the nicest person I've met in a while..he was very friendly, smiles and says thank you like he really means it. Good for some take out!! I have only ordered shrimp fried rice, dumplings,and lo mein. I like that they give your money's worth for food. A large order can feed 2 adults and 2 kids depending on your appetite. The large order of fried rice and lo mein fed me, my adult friend, 4 toddlers and 1 teenager that was impressive. Most Chinese places on this side of town won't even give you a good amount of food,but they are great. The employees are friendly and seem like they enjoy what they do. Good service!! Craving Chinese food but didn't want to drive far to get it. Saw this small hall in the wall spot in the strip mall. So I said why not give it a shot. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. They told me my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I waited about 10 minutes before I drove there and got in line. The guy in front of me placed his order there and for some reason he had his order which consisted of about 4 dishes come out before mine. Also, when I paid for my food I sat down and forgot to buy sweet and sour sauce. I got up and told her I needed one and she said it was $.75 so I give her my debit card. I wouldn't come to DeSoto to get good Chinese food, however this is my favorite Chinese place in the area. This place is cheap and fast. I always order the shrimp and chicken fried rice. Although most fried rice dishes are brown and made with soy sauce, their fried rice is yellow. Like very yellow. I know it's bad for me but I like it. The food here is just not that great but it always satisfies my craving and is cheap. They also deliver which is a plus. My food came in less than 45 min and was still very hot. This dish is loaded with garlic flavor, lots of chicken and other vegetable, but try extra chicken for $2.00 more. I also add little spicy & a little sweet, no charge. I've been going here for past 2 years. Service and food were always good. Especially the egg foo young. But today I ordered a Won Ton Soup to go with it, and the crispy noodles that go with it were STALE. I came back and asked for fresh noodles, and they said they have none. But I observed her go into a greasy box full of noodles in bags that look like they were left over from a while back. She claims they fry them at night and then bag them in the morning. This is the best Chinese restaurant so far in Desoto. The flavor of their food is good. They give you GOOD SIZED portions and the food is fresh, not old. They are friendly and their EGG FOO YOUNG is to die for. That is what we order and you get 3 patties for one order! Oh My God the food was terrible. We had the Sweet and Sour Chicken that was all over fried and some pieces were so hard that you couldn't eat them. I ordered White Rice with all the meals and received fried rice. My husband called the business to have them fix this issue and no one ever showed up to make the order right.
