I had heard great things about Rice House of Kabob and was excited to see what the hype was all about. They have a fairly large menu and I liked how they included pictures with all of the items when ordering. We decided to both order a platter as it includes an entrée, salad and a bowl of rice. One came with some kind of steak kabab and the other entrée was tilapia which had been a recommendation from the cashier. They were fresh and healthy tasting but I felt like you could make them at home just as easily and maybe even better. I did like the sauce they give you to pour on the rice bowl. We also purchased a side of their yogurt dip. I dunno, wasn't really my bag of tea. Our meal for two people came out to $30.00 with no alcohol. IMO you get better value elsewhere. I usually love persian/mediterranean food but i wasnt so much in love here. I got the combo platter w beef and chicken, rice, salad, and piece of pita bread. Now the portion was a good size for the price (around $15) but when i took the bite of chicken, my first thought was "wheres the flavor?" I then went for the beef and continued to search for it... both meats aere pretty damn dry too. The rice was also pretty bland and dry but the salad was real good. Good combination of veggies and pretty fresh. Oh it also came w a side of their house dressing which was good but did t used much of, and this yellow sauce- dont know the name but it was good. I've been their client for almost a year and can surely admit that this is one of the best places in Brickell to have a great meal especially if you like Mediterranean cuisine. Their kabob and steak dishes are addictive with that smoky taste and cooked just the way it's supposed to be, veggies and rice are delicious as well. That makes me buy meals from them even on weekends however at that times shifts tend to slack as I've noticed but that doesn't stop the food being awesome. The manager is simply charming and that's a motivator to go and pick up instead of ordering a delivery which is only $3. This review is long overdue, I have been eating at this restaurant for the last four years and I must say I have never been disappointed. To me it's one of the best options to getting food fast but yet it's nothing like fast food, it's as if you're in the Mediterranean eating kebabs and basmati rice cooked to order quickly. I work in the area and can't resist the smell of their kebabs cooking when I walk by. I highly recommend trying their triple kebab combo. The place, which is pretty spacious, was virtually empty on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. I opted for the Falafel Wrap Lunch Combo, which ran me around $6 and came with a fountain drink. The Falafel was fresh, tasty, and was just the right portion to satisfy my lunch appetite. As for the service, it was just like my fellow yelpers have stated, very friendly. I'm surprised at the low reviews. It's a quick filling bite to eat with good flavors at a reasonable cost. I'm a sucker for the cheneh rice plate which are chunks of tenderloin that are grilled with some seasoning. It comes with a sauce, which I pour over the beef and the rice and mix it all up. If you are looking for a quick healthy meal this is the place to go. I used to always pick up food at the one in south beach. The staff is usually very friendly. I either get the chicken and rice $9.63 or I get the patter for 10.60 that comes with chicken, smaller rice, and a huge greek salad. The food is always consistent and cooked to order. There are a few criteria I always look for when reviewing a restaurant. The 4 below are most prevalent 1. food quality & taste 2. ambiance 3. service 4. price As far as the food is concerned, I had the rice vegetarian dish. They served me plenty and I was actually able to share half with the girlfriend. The rice and veggies were okay, I love rice but I have a penchant for sticky rice as opposed to the thinner and more separated dry rice that was served. However, what set the dish apart is the garlic zesty sauce it comes with, absolutely delicious. I poured it all over the plate and it kicked up the flavor a few notches. The price and service was average to say the least, we did get a free pastry for checking in via Yelp. The biggest downside to this place in my opinion is the ambiance. The lighting is dim which I'm typically a fan of but the place is simply too large to lend itself to coziness. For me, this is a place I would potentially visit again to grab a quick weekday lunch but I likely wouldn't frequent this locale for dinner or a weekend meal. NPS = 8 Nice little spot in the heart of Brickell. Went here the crowd of Colombians celebrating their huge win in the World Cup against Uruguay. The food is pretty good, fresh, and gets the job done. The one thing that sticks out about this place is the GREAT baklava they offer. I actually liked the baklava here better than the one I have tried in Turkey and Greece. It is not TOO sweet and it tasted great, even being made without pistachio. The wraps are good and any plate can be ordered without the wrap with a side of rice. I recommend pouring their white sauce on everything and ordering a side of hummus. I was told the driver left 10 minutes ago... no food yet, and now its 3:40 PM. In the amount of time I've waited I could of received delivery 3+ times. Not a happy camper. Ordered delivery from Rice House of Kabob last night and was sadly disappointed. I ordered a chicken platter with extra onions, a sirloin kubideh rice with extra onions, bread, a chocolate chip cookie and a Gatorade. I only received the chicken platter (no extra onions) and a Gatorade. They forgot over half my order..when I called back they blamed it on the driver saying he took the wrong bag..but the ticket on the bag was clearly half my order..chicken platter with extra onions and a Gatorade. The employee then told me this is a very common order (come on), not wanting to admit fault or apologize. They agreed to send over the remaining food, however when it arrived it was incorrect. They didn't add the extra onions, let alone any onions to the sirloin & rice. When I called back they offered no solution and said they couldn't send over any onions because I wasn't being charged for them.
