This is another spot that I found just wondering around my neighborhood and had been curious about for a while. I finally decided to try it out and was not disappointed. The hummus was really delicious. The salad was fresh. I ordered lamb and rice and although I chose the wrong things (I wanted lamb chops) I wasn't disappointed with what I accidentally chose. The server suggested the Baklava cheesecake and it was delicious. The drinks were good and everyone loves a good deal! I love the ambiance outside it was so pretty. read more

Ever since moving near by, this has become a recurrent dinner/ lunch for us. The service is always great, the food is amazing and the desserts are even better. I ordered delivery from Meraki a few weeks ago and it was pretty good! I've been meaning to try this spot as I've gone to the downtown Meraki a few times and I'm a big fan. Some of the items are the same and there are different ones as well. My partner loves the halloumi salad but unfortunately this Meraki doesn't carry it. Lucky for me - my favorite dish - the salmon is served here. I ordered the salmon and it came with rice pilaf, pita and a lemon aioli. I do miss the veggies that come with the downtown Salmon but I did see I could have chosen potatoes as a side instead of rice - so will do next time! Onto the salmon, unfortunately it was on top of the pita, so the pita was fully soggy and I couldn't enjoy it. The salmon was a good portion and cooked well. It was juicy and fresh. The rice was okay, it was quite bland and a little hard. The price was also very reasonable for $17.60 so that's good. I also ordered a tzatziki on the side and it was very heavy on a mayo taste for some reason. I wanted to try one of their pastries and went with the bougatsa ($6) and wow! That was so amazing. I even went back in person to buy another the following week. It is a deliciously flaky greek pastry. It a very good size with a yummy custard inside, served warm. It's so so good. I can't wait to go back and try it! The decor inside Meraki is cute! So definitely would come back and dine in. I've bought halloumi cheese here. They have a little market section with Greek goodies which is nice! There's free parking in the shopping center with is a rarity in Miami Beach so definitely a highlight! read more

Very cute and clean, small Greek place on Alton Road. I was relieved that they actually had parking. I came around 8:30 pm so it was pretty quiet. The staff were very friendly and greeted patrons, as soon as they came inside. The chicken Keftes and fries were good. The pork on the gyro tasted funny and was chewy. I asked the waiter, if I could try the lamb meat instead. He brought a lamb gyro. He did not take the pork gyro off of the bill. Other than that, it seemed like a good place. Lunch special was 1/2 Chicken or Branzino with 2 sides for $12 was exceptional. Chicken was the best but my 6 yo ate the entire fish and said it was the best fish he ever had. Pick any open table you want and they'll bring your food out for you. While you're waiting, they have a nice wine selection. I have heard of Meraki and passed by their locations in both Downtown & the Grove, but had never tried it. Once I saw this newish location in Miami Beach, I had to grab some takeout. I ordered through their site and the large order I placed was ready right when I set it for. The inside is beautiful and clean and the breeze coming in and out of the restaurant is so peaceful. The patio is just as tranquil. They even have a little marketplace full of Greek imported items. As for the food- better than any Greek restaurant I've ever tried in Miami. I had a classic Lamb Gyro that was HUGE and came with a large helping of Greek fries- all for $12. My friends had the chicken bacon gyro and said it was also very savory and fresh. We have always driven by this place and wanted to check it out. They have a $12 entree sign on the window and it peaked our curiosity. The $12 entree special includes one entree and one side which is from the food located at the counter and looks like a buffet. We opted to go for the gyro platter instead and were extremely satisfied with that. It was delicious and enough food for two people and we also had leftovers. We also got a small side Greek salad which we highly recommend because it goes well with the gyro platter. We will be back to try their baked goods on a later date. read more

I didn't know they are same owners for the downtown Meraki location. I love that place it's so beautiful and inviting and food great. Their new location here is very welcoming. I ordered chicken sandwich with tzizki because I don't like mayonnaise which is in their Meraki sauce used on it. I was blown away by the sandwich. So delicious! Wow! The chicken had such a nice flavor. Fresh ingredients. French fries had a nice herb seasoning and fried crispy just the way I love. They have a cute market that sells Greek jams, olive oil, candies, fresh pastries and honey. I plan on being a regular here! And the staff was very friendly! I had been one or two times to the original restaurant downtown - beautifully nestled in a garden. Now there's an outpost right down the street from where I live. It's great for a sandwich, salad, dessert. All really good. I had the lamb kebab on pita. Delicious - beautifully spiced, lots of french fries, good price. One friend had the Greek salad - it's huge with a good portion of feta. Another had a small salad and chicken kabob. We shared the galatoboureko (custard pie) and baklava - both equally delicious. Very Bad Experience! I went to lunch on a Wednesday at 2 pm. The restaurant was hot and there were hardly any people there. Service was super slow (I had to get up from the table and go to the counter 4 times during the meal.) I ordered the lamb kabob and my friend ordered the shrimp saganaki. After waiting about half an hour for the food I finally got a thick, tough pita with a small ground meat patty, the size of a finger, inside (like a small Cuban croquette.) I was SHOCKED. Really, I was shocked!!! (I've been to Greece 3 times & have eaten Greek food many times.) I asked the waiter if there had been a mistake. He answered that No, that was what they called a "kabob." He said that a Gyro sandwich was made with sliced meat & a kabob with ground meat. I was hungry and decided to try it. Big Mistake! It tasted like rotten meat. It was horrible, even the fries were bad. My friends dish was just as bad. She had asked the waiter about how many shrimps came in the dish, and he had answered that depending on size, it was usually about nine. Well, she got five, which didn't really matter as she was unable to eat them; they were that tough, and the heavy tomato sauce they were hidden under was simply inedible. As we asked for the check, I again questioned the waiter about the 'kabob.' He finally admitted that a kabob should be grilled pieces of meat on a skewer and not the tiny hamburger I got. (Yeah, I know, I should have taken photos, but I didn't) He offered to talk to the chef and bring me a dessert which I declined. I was so upset. I would have accepted a discount, but he charged us full price for the food. There will be no next time for this place! We will definitely STAY AWAY. read more

Today was our 2nd time at Meraki Miami Beach, excellent spot after a day in the beach. Service is fast but with a lot of kindness and good care and food was delicious. Restaurant is cozy and clean. It has a small outdoors terrace. Portions are generous. We tried the traditional Greek salad, very refreshing. The lamb and churrasco skewers very well seasoned and cooked. What a gem of a place! One of the best greek food option we have been to since visiting Greece. And after our third visit here, we figured out why! We saw a sweet yia-yia in the kitchen, smiling while preparing the delicious food. She came out to recommend any of the desserts as well, which she bakes every day. Their Baklava is out of this world, and best to be shared with a few people (though I could eat the whole thing by myself). But, the Galaktoboureko is hands down my go to - and I refuse to share it with anyone. The sweet pie filled with semolina cream just melts in your mouth.
